With the economic and social development, the supply and development of energy have been the outstanding problems affecting human survival and development. On the basis of ensuring the safe and efficient supply of clean energy, building a strong and smart grid, can be conducive to energy conservation and smart electricity. Through analysis of the development and status quo of clean energy and discussion of the features and advantages of the strong and smart grid, the article proposed the development of a strong and smart grid had important significance of advocating low-carbon economy, promoting the transformation of energy supply, and the protection of for the sustainable economic and social development. Finally, the article gave the outlook for the future of the development of a strong and smart grid.

This paper describes a student-centered approach to a power engineering technology course using the flipped or inverted classroom as well as active learning in the form of group discussions and team problem solving. The study compares student performance and perceptions of a traditional, teaching-centered classroom to two different flipped courses: one using video lectures and one using a media-enhanced electronic textbook. The authors compared courses in the areas of 1) student performance on multiple choice and numerical analysis problems, 2) students’ perceptions of course delivery format and satisfaction with the course and instructor, and 3) technical content coverage. Results show little difference in student achievement between the course formats, strong negative reactions by students to unfamiliar instructional methods, and little difference in content coverage. The authors believe that the outcomes of this study can be attributed to the benefits of small class sizes (n<12), which naturally enable active learning to be utilized without the need for rigid and formal course structure,

The security risks of using tap-changer of main transformer in substation to adjust remote operation and automatic sequence operation were analyzed, the tap-changer slider gear urgent stop devices of main transformers integrated into RGT were designed and developed and the functions of the system, hardware construct and software system were discussed in this paper. The construction engineering of smart grid is the key plan for the electricity grid development of China. To build a strong smart grid has been the main goal for the development of regional grid, thus, it is of great significance to study on the smartness level of regional grid. This paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation system for the regional grid development level; analyzes from aspects of safety, economy, quality, and efficiency. A hierarchical optimized combination evaluation model is proposed, and its progressiveness and applicability are verified. The study provides theoretical basis and practical evidence for judging the development level of regional smart grid construction of China from an overall and multi-angle perspective.

With the rapid development of smart grid construction, communication mode size in smart grid business relying on operators 2G/3G wireless network continues to increase. In this paper, first, with a deep study of application, communication requirement and network status in power wireless business, the security risk and defects cannot control in the existing power wireless business are noted. Secondly, wireless VPN target of power grid is innovatively put forward, to achieve the safe and efficient power wireless business hosting, intensive operation and scale development. Once again, the design of wireless VPN for power grid, security access platform, operating platform are made a further analysis and elaboration.
