In order to better research wind power generation technology in the laboratory, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the wind turbine. Then on the basis of the analysis results, a wind turbine simulation model is built in MATLAB/SIMULINK and a simple torque imitation scheme is proposed. The program imitates the output torque characteristics of wind turbine, by controlling the induction motor torque current to control its output torque. The simulation results verify the feasibility of the wind turbine imitation program. It lays the foundation for the wind energy study.

In the current severe situation of continuous shortage of energy resources, the global energy structure is undergoing profound changes. New energy is the main direction of the energy transformation, and the iterative innovation of new energy technology is an important means to promote the transformation of the global energy industry. From the perspective of new energy technology, this paper mainly introduces wind power generation technology and photovoltaic power generation technology. Firstly, the basic principles of wind power and photovoltaic power generation technology are described; Secondly, it counts the current status of the global wind power and photovoltaic market in 2019 and the change trend of installed capacity during 2001-2019, further analyze the development status of these two new energy technologies; finally, it summarizes the development status of new energy technology and makes a prospect for its future development.

Many oil fields are full of wind energy. At present, wind power generation technology has catered to oil fields. A larger wind turbine is used to supply power to several pumping units. As a result of the structural characteristics of the pumping unit, the efficiency of the electromotor is very low, which leads to a reduction in the utilization rate of wind energy. At the same time, considering the high cost of large wind turbines, the energy saving effect is not obvious in practical applications. This paper proposes an energy supply model of a pumping unit driven by a small wind turbine and a new wind-motor hybrid structure. Instead of wind power generation technology, wind energy drives the pumping unit directly via a mechanical–hydraulic transmission system. This new mechanical-hydraulic system can optimize the power confluence of wind and electric power. To enhance the efficiency of the motor, a mathematical model and a test station were established. The correctness of the energy conservation method and the mathematical model was verified, and the performance of the wind-motor system was studied.

In view of the teaching requirements of the new curriculums about new energy power generation technology in electrical engineering field, this paper has proposed and designed a rated 3kW wind power system under the environment of PSIM9.0 software. Through systematically analyzing the mathematics and theory knowledge of the small and medium sized permanent-magnet direct-drive wind power system (PDWPS for short), the wind power system model has been built and the back-to-back double-PWM control circuit has been designed. Then the whole PDWPS has been established based on PSIM. The simulation results show that, when the wind speed changes, the output power of the generator is stable and the DC voltage of the inverter is constant. The results prove that the control strategy is correct and valid. As a powerful auxiliary teaching tool, PSIM can be used to strengthen student's understanding of theoretical knowledge and improve the students' learning interest and enthusiasm. The contents in this paper provide a new method to the teaching and practice in electrical engineering courses.
