The increasing number of vehicles on the road intersections has given rise to many problems like road accidents, congestions add conflicts. These problems can only be solved by deigning proper traffic signal at intersections for continuous and smooth movement of vehicles Nagpur- though the smart city- is also facing the same problem. This paper presents the proper designing and simulation of traffic signal at an unsignalized intersection at Nagpur. The paper deals with the simulation of designed signal through a programming language like Python.

This paper applies kinematic synthesis theory to obtain the dimensions of a constrained spatial serial chain for a valve mechanism that cleans and closes a soil conditioning port in a tunnel boring machine. The goal is a smooth movement that rotates a cylindrical array of studs into position and then translates it forward to clean and close the port. The movement of the valve is defined by six positions of the revolute-prismatic-revolute (RPR) serial chain. These six positions are used to compute the dimensions of the two spherical spherical (SS) dyads that constrain the RPR chain to obtain a one degree-of-freedom spatial mechanism. An example design of this valve mechanism is provided in detail.

Exploration below the lunar surface has great potential for scientific progress and the future of space explanation. However, as of now, little is known about the environment of the lunar subsurface, but the international space community has plans to explore it. The development of an excavator that can perform underground investigations has been needed, so we have developed one with a peristaltic crawling mechanism. The robot consists of propulsion and excavation units. The propulsion unit consists of three propulsion subunits which together form the peristaltic crawling mechanism. The excavation unit has an earth auger to dig up and transport soil. In this study, we propose a new type of propulsion subunit. It has a belt drive system to facilitate the smooth movement of the propulsion subunits, and it enables the robot to support three subunits. We also perform experiments in which the excavation robot burrows into red soil to depths of up to 600 mm.

Abstract This paper examines the results of synthesis algorithms for four-, six-, and eight-bar linkages for rectilinear movement. Rectilinear movement is useful for applications such as suspensions that provide linear movement with out a rotation component. The algorithm yields one four-bar, seven six-bar, and 32 eight-bar linkages. The synthesis strategy begins with a task guided by a multi-degree of freedom chain. The algorithm computes constraints to guide the required movement with one degree-of-freedom. Each computed design is analyzed to ensure smooth movement through the specified set of task positions. Finally, we identify the design that has the least variation from a pure rectilinear movement.

Visual motion stimuli can be defined as changes in luminance over space and time. Both kinds of change can alter the perceived speed and direction of motion. This chapter covers crossover motion; reverse phi, in which motion between a positive and a negative appears to go backward; the bicycle spokes illusion; the footsteps effect, in which smooth movement looks jerky if the background is striped; zigzag motion, whose direction appears to change with viewing distance; and the furrow illusion of motion, whose direction appears to change when viewed by the fovea versus the periphery. Other concepts covered include the chopstick illusion and the footsteps illusion.

Good discourse has a coherence that binds statements involved in it based on logical thinking. In a coherent discourse, the reader finds the order thoughts which is clearly the tip of the base as a form of the regular mode of thinking of the author. Coherence is the final character of writing that reflects the perfection of the author in controlling his or her way of thinking in order to realize a discourse. Coherence in discourse can be seen primarily as the sentences involved in it are intertwined each other and the ideas flow smoothly. One sentence relation to another sentence or the smooth movement of ideas in discourse is formed by the use of certain language elements as a grammatical form that embodies the cohesiveness of a discourse. The language elements, in this case, are transitional words/phrases, pronouns, and repetitions of keywords. The use of these elements is quite important in constructing sentences that mesh and flow logically in a discourse. It also happens between a paragraph one and another paragraph in a discourse, the elements of language is a bridge that is vital for the transition of thoughts or ideas in a writer's writings.

The Merak-Bakauheni Ferry Port is a connecting route between Java and Sumatra. With its role as a driver of economic growth between islands, it is hoped that the smooth movement of passengers and goods can take place effectively and efficiently. Research on the ferries at the Merak-Bakauheni route is carried out to analyse the movement of people and goods based on the time of service, the number of ferry boats, and the number of docks, so that changes can be implemented to ensure the ferry service is fast, precise, safe, and comfortable. Public transportation in the current era is a very important necessity for every community in supporting all activities and daily routines, PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry Persero as a ferry operator plays an important role in organizing proper public transportation in our country. The main problem identified by this research is the absence of a safety standard for sea ferries transportation. The expected result with this research is to be able to take inventory of safety standards and to anticipate the extent of safety on the ferry so that recommendations can be formulated to prevent accidents in the future.
