The suspension system of an automobile separates the wheel/axle assembly from the body. The primary function of the suspension system is to isolate the vehicle structure from shocks and vibration due to irregularities of the road surface and to maintain contact with the surface thereby providing traction and control. Leaf spring is the preferred type of suspension system in almost all light and heavy commercial and transport vehicles. Leaf spring used in many vehicles due to having some main characteristics which are economical construction, uniformly distributed load, simple assembly in the vehicle and forgiving on use in rough terrain. In this paper we would like to take a look on the leaf spring, its design parameters and analysis. The paper is based on material selection, designing, experimental testing and load analysis etc.

This paper designs and manufactures a new type of arm suspension institution named In-Arm Torsional Electromagnetic Active Suspension (ITEAS) according to the structure and characteristic. The paper introduces the function and application scenarios of ITEAS and narrates the research value and scientific significance of the system. At first, the structure and principle of ITEAS are presented briefly, based on which the mathematical model of ITEAS suspension and height adjustment is built and analyzed. Next, the paper studies three critical components of ITEAS respectively. The mathematical solution is found to calculate the stiffness of the torsion bar. The structure and hydrodynamic model of the vane damper is researched, and the simulation model of the absorber is built in AMESim. The paper studies the theoretical principle of height adjustment and obtains the frequency characteristic of “Motor-Load” through the transfer function solved in MATLAB. Therefore, simulation models are built in AMESim in allusion to the three functions in the next chapter to verify the suspension characteristic, the height adjustment and the active displacement control of ITEAS independently. At last, several experiments are conducted on the test bench to check the feasibility of ITEAS. The results show that ITEAS is capable of being used as a vehicle suspension system and has a good impact on mitigation ability under road surface excitation, which enables us to adjust the body height and control the displacement actively according to the road condition.

Suspension system of an automobile not only supports the body of the vehicle, engine and passengers but also absorbs shocks arising from the roughness of the road. Most of the present day cars are provided with independent suspension for the front wheels and conventional suspension for the rear wheels. Such a suspension system is referred in this paper as semi-independent suspension system. When the automobile is moving, the roughness of the road keeps giving excitations to the suspension system through tyres. The frequency of excitation is directly proportional to the velocity of the vehicle and inversely proportional to the distance between two undulations of the road. The knowledge of natural frequency is important because the designer would prefer to keep the lowest natural frequency much higher than the frequency of excitation. In this paper, an attempt is made to study the effect of centre of mass of the main body on the natural frequencies of the system.

In this research work, design optimization and static analysis of a 3D printed based carbon PEEK (poly ether ether ketone, reinforced with carbon) polymer composite mono leaf spring was done using finite element analysis. Comparative study of leaf springs of a Dodge SUV car has been made by using 3D printed carbon PEEK. The main objective of this work is to optimize the design and material parameters, such as fiber diameter, fiber length, percentage volume of fibers and orientation angle of fibers in 3D printed based material with a mono polymer composite leaf spring. The effects of these parameters were studied to evaluate the deflection, bending stress, spring rate, stiffness and von Mises stress under different loading conditions. Furthermore investigation has been done to reduce the weight of leaf springs and claimed the 3D printed based leaf springs have better load carrying capacity. Thus an attempt has been made in this regard and we selected the 3D printed carbon PEEK in developing product design and material selection for minimum deflection and bending stress by means of response surface optimization methodology for an efficient leaf spring suspension system. The 3D printed carbon fiber polymer composite has three different percentage volume fractions such as 30%, 50%, and 60%. The selected carbon PEEK has 0°, 45°, and 90° fiber orientations. Finite element based analysis has been performed on 3D printed carbon PEEK material to conclude the optimized design parameters and best possible combination of factors affecting the leaf spring performance.

Madhumeha is a disease known since ancient times to the mankind, its upsurge is quiet alarming. On the basis of its symptomatology Madhumeha can be correlated to the features of Diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder of carbohydrate, fat, & protein characterized by hyperglycemia with or without glycosuria. It is associated with long-term potentially catastrophic effects on almost all systems of the body. Ayurveda can provide better management for Madhumeha without hazardous side effects. In Ayurveda, Madhumeha has been described as one among one of the 20 types of Prameha and is a sub-type of Vatika Prameha. In the former type the patients are usually asthenic can be correlated with Type I DM and in the latter type patients are obese and can be equated with Type II DM. Nishakatakadi Kwath has been mentioned in Sahasrayoga under Kashaya Prakaran for Prameha Chikitsa, Nishakatakadi Kwath is being used widely for the treatment of Madhumeha in Kerala. That is why Nishakatakadi Kwath has been selected for the present study. In this study to study various clinical symptoms of madhumeha with special reference to Diabetes Mellitus II. To compare efficacy of Nishkatakadi Kwath with Metformin inthe management of Madhumeha, To observe any possible adverse effect of Nishkatakadi kwath if reported during the study. The driving comfort of the vehicle is primarily determined by the design of the suspension system, which transmits the force between the vehicle and the ground. There are different types of vehicle suspension systems, including active suspension systems that provide significant benefits for ride comfort while driving. However, the existing active suspension systems have limited functions such as power, and also complex structure. To overcome the problem, the proper design of the active suspension system by considering its present limitations is essential. A well-designed active suspension system controls the load on the wheels under the resonance of the body structure and ensures driving comfort. It reduces the vibrational energy of the vehicle body caused by the excitation of the road while keeping the stability of the vehicle within an acceptable limit. For a proper design of the active suspension system, the road surface, the seat suspension, and the wheel load are the most important elements to consider. In this study, different types of vehicle suspension systems with their limitations have been thoroughly investigated. Many aspects of control and some of the essential practical considerations are also explored.

Road-rail vehicles built on traditional vehicle chassis can only switch operation modes at particular areas such as level crossings, thus limiting the working scope and efficiency of routine railway inspection and maintenance. This paper proposes a novel tracked chassis for the road-rail vehicle with a multi-cylinder hydropneumatic suspension system, which can better adapt to rough terrains and enhance the vehicle ride performance. Based on this hydropneumatic suspension design, the single-cylinder mathematical model is derived and validated by experimental data. An in-plane multi-body dynamics (MBD) model and road model are established, combined with the hydropneumatic suspension model, including the LuGre friction force. Virtual tests are conducted to investigate the effects of different initial gas volumes, varied diameters and damping pipe lengths on the ride performance. The results indicate that improper damping pipe diameter and charge gas volume will deteriorate the ride performance, which provides a useful reference for the optimization design and control of the hydropneumatic system.

Hyperlipidemia is the immediate results of the excessive fat intake in food. This results in the elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. This leads to heart conditions like CAD, hypertension, congestive heart failure as risk factors which can be lethal. There are many drugs to treat and control the lipids levels in the body. These drugs are either designed to prevent LDL accumulation and VLDL synthesis. Some drugs also lower the elevated levels of saturated lipids in the body. But many drugs are known to cause side effects and adverse effects; therefore, alternatives to the drugs are the subjects for current investigations. Herbs and medicinal plants are used as treatment sources for many years. They have been used in the Indian medical systems like Ayurveda, Siddha etc. As the application of herbs in the treatment is growing, there is an urgent need for the establishment of Pharmacological reasoning and standardization of the activity of the medicinal plants. Chloris paraguaiensis Steud. is Poyaceae member that is called locally as Uppugaddi. Traditionally it is used to treat Rheumatism, Diabetes, fever and diarrhoea. The chemical constituents are known to have anti-oxidant properties and most of the anti-oxidants have anti-hyperlipidemic activity too. Since the plant has abundant flavonoid and phenol content, the current research focusses on the investigation of the anti-hyperlipidemic activity of the plant Chloris extracts. Extracts of Chloris at 200mg/kg showed a comparably similar anti hyperlipidemia activity to that of the standard drug. The extracts showed a dose based increase in the activity at 100 and 200mg/kg body weight.

Telecommunications industry evolution shows the highest rates of transition to high-tech systems and is accompanied by a trend of deep mutual penetration of technologies - convergence. The dominant telecommunication technologies have become wireless communication systems. The widespread use of modern wireless technologies has led to the saturation of the environment with technological electromagnetic fields and the actualization of the problems of protecting the population from them. This fundamental restructuring has led to a uniform dense placement of radiating fragments of network technologies in the mudflow areas. The changed parameters of the emitted fields became the reason for the revision of the regulatory and methodological support of electromagnetic safety. A fragmented structural, functional and parametric analysis of the problem of protecting the population from the technological fields of network technologies revealed uncertainty in the interpretation of real situations, vulnerability, weakness and groundlessness of the methodological basis of sanitary-hygienic approaches. It is shown that this applies to all stages of the electromagnetic examination of the emitting fragments of network technologies. Distrust arises on the part of specialists and the population in not only the system of sanitary-hygienic control, but also the safety of modern network technologies is being called into question. Growing social tensions and radio phobia are everywhere accompanying the development of wireless communication technologies. The basis for solving almost all problems of protecting the population can be the transfer of subjective methods and means of monitoring and sanitary-hygienic control of electromagnetic fields into the field of IT.
