The paper analyses how the urban parks can be more adaptive for situation of pandemic. In the era of Covid-19 we are faced new challenges. Weaknesses were and are evident in everyday life also now. Moscow is the largest city in the world situated so far from equator, its agglomeration has a population of 17,2 million people. During the period of pandemic in Moscow from 2nd of April 2020 55 city parks, estates and recreation areas were closed for visits. The paper discusses how we can change and what we need to change in green infrastructure of urban parks to have healthy accessible territories for citizens also at-risk situation. Should parks be closed during mass infections? What the parks should be like during the period of mass infectious diseases? Which new strategic values can be introduced for development urban green environment of the new generation? Which changes have to be done for urban planning in general, considering innovative approaches?

Nature-based recreation is among the most relevant ecosystem services supplied by urban green infrastructure, affecting citizens’ physical and mental wellbeing. Providing adequate green spaces for nature-based recreation is among the main goals of urban planning, but commonly-used indicators offer a partial view on the issue. Innovative methods and approaches, such as the ESTIMAP-recreation model, appear as promising ways to increase the quality of information available for decision-makers by considering both the range of green spaces that provide the service and the locally-specific demand. The article presents an application of the ESTIMAP-recreation model to the city of Trento (Italy), aimed at testing its adaptation to the local context and the potential improvements brought to urban planning. The comparison of the results with traditional indicators based on the availability and accessibility to urban parks shows significant differences in terms of priority of intervention across the city, with implications on planning decisions. The application demonstrates that innovative methods can enhance the understanding of nature-based recreation in cities beyond the focus on urban parks, revealing a wide portfolio of actions that planners can put in place to promote nature-based recreation through a multifunctional green infrastructure.

In recent years, urban spaces all over the world have been effectively staged, sometimes all too obviously, and urban design has often concentrated on the implementation of "beautiful" lighthouse projects and globally oriented lifestyle urbanism. However, beauty – also in the broader sense of a beautiful experience – cannot be an end in itself in urban planning. An urban design of responsibility has to be committed to all residents and address the pressing challenges of our time, for example: the almost unlimited consumption of land, water and energy; floods and heatwaves due to climate change; lack of decent living conditions for large parts of the population. Against this background, five strategic guidelines for the integrated and responsible planning of our cities have been developed. These include "comprehensive" and integrated neighbourhoods, a mobility turnaround, interconnected blue and green infrastructure, a circular resource economy and space sharing, and the exploitation of the opportunities of digitalisation for a social and ecological city.

Analyzing the evolution of new generation peripherals can affirm that the next decade will be characterized by the exponential increase in the number of “objects” interconnected to the internet that will be more able to communicate with each other independently and will lead to the affirmation of the paradigm internet of things (IoT), which will revolutionize everyday life on a global level. This evolution will concern not only the business realities, interested in the development of applications and systems necessary to emerge and be competitive on the market but also the ordinary citizens who will be surrounded by interconnected objects able to facilitate their everyday life. This aspect implies particular attention to the implementation of solutions oriented to cyber security necessary to guarantee an efficient and effective level of protection against the threats coming from the “world” internet, known by the term cyber space.

Coronavirus disease 2019-nCoV is a novel and highly transmissible infectious disease. However, in the history of human development, there have already been many infectious diseases that caused pandemics. Through a review of pandemics over centuries, the author tried to understand whether there was any correlation between the pandemics and the development of the world economy of the associated period. Although 2019-nCoV pandemic is deeply affected every country varying only in the degree, and the response measures taken by countries against the pandemic are also various, however, the pandemic has spread globally without exception; therefore, this study aims to call on to adopt a prevention strategy to face the new challenges ahead with a healthy rhythm of progressive globalization.

In the article the relevance of this research is due to overcoming the complex of social, environmental and economic problems in urban planning related to environmental improvement, improvement, greening of cities and settlements. Being one of the main elements of urban planning, "green spaces" form a favorable ecological environment. They also help to combat the effect of "thermal islands" by participating in the process of evaporation of moisture; reduce storm water runoff; improve air quality by absorbing atmospheric pollution. Improvement of cities is one of the priority tasks of forming a comfortable urban environment. It includes: improvement of the ecological situation in cities (related to the improvement of the landscaping system, which means scientifically grounded spatial arrangement of all components of urban landscaping according to urban areas) soil, climatic and other factors in order to achieve optimal ecological, sanitary and sanitary and sanitary effects. In the foreign practice of urban planning use the concept of "green infrastructure" ("Green infrastructure") or blue-green infrastructure ("Blue - green infrastructure"), which focuses on the environmental importance of the territory. Which considers the whole spectrum of landscape changes and serves as a basis for the formation and development of a favorable state in cities. The main reason for the interest in green infrastructure in the world is the desire to make the city a more conducive place to live, as well as to climate change. Reducing the negative impact on the environment is the key to the socio-economic development of the country. The purpose of this work is to develop recommendations for the design of green infrastructure. Analysis of existing experience in designing and implementing green infrastructure in an urbanized environment, identifying trends in the further development of their architectural and urban planning structure. The object of the study is the green infrastructure of major cities in the world, including its architectural and urban planning and spatial solutions in the city structure. The article presents typical landscaping schemes and their classification, as well as methods of using green spaces to improve the environmental, social and aesthetic status of cities.

"The International Year of Crystallography 2014 represents a unique chance to highlight crystallography to a wide audience of researchers, students, school children and members of the public. It also offers a platform for boosting the capabilities of research laboratories in less well developed parts of the world, with instruments and expertise helping a new generation of scientists to learn theory and techniques, to generate data and to form collaborations with experts in various crystallographic fields. Agilent is proud to support IYCr2014, to assist the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) and its partners in achieving some of the key goals of the project. To this end, Agilent has teamed up with the IUCr in the IYCr2014 ""Crystallography in Everyday Life"" photo contest. A highlight of the IUCr Congress, this contest has been open throughout 2014, inviting all amateur and professional photographers to submit stunning images that capture the spirit of crystallography in the places, objects and experiences of everyday life. Entries have been submitted from across the world from both scientists and non-scientists alike. Two winning entries will each receive bursaries to attend the IUCr Congress, and their entries will be on display in the main exhibition area. These and 14 further notable entries will make up the Agilent-IUCr IYCr2014 academic calendar (2014-15), and copies will be available from the Agilent booth in Montreal. Agilent is also proudly supporting the IUCr-UNESCO OpenLab initiative; aiming to provide facilities and teaching to young scientists without access to their own instrumentation. Agilent and the IUCr have been working with a number of Agilent system users, specifically in Argentina, Hong Kong and Turkey, to develop OpenLab workshops organized by local researchers and supported by Agilent sponsorship and Application Scientists. This poster will highlight Agilent's IYCr participation, focusing on these initiatives."

China's socioeconomic accumulation in the last 30 years has been probably one of the most outstanding global developments and has resulted in massive new challenges for core and periphery countries. The article examines how China's rapid and massive integration to the world market has posed new challenges for countries such as Mexico - and most of Latin America - as a result of China's successful exportoriented industrialization. China's accumulation and global integration process does, however, not only question and challenges the export-possibilities in the periphery, but also the global inability to provide energy in the medium term.

Evinç Doğan (2016). Image of Istanbul, Impact of ECoC 2010 on The City Image. London: Transnational Press London. [222 pp, RRP: £18.75, ISBN: 978-1-910781-22-7]The idea of discovering or creating a form of uniqueness to differentiate a place from others is clearly attractive. In this regard, and in line with Ashworth (2009), three urban planning instruments are widely used throughout the world as a means of boosting a city’s image: (i) personality association - where places associate themselves with a named individual from history, literature, the arts, politics, entertainment, sport or even mythology; (ii) the visual qualities of buildings and urban design, which include flagship building, signature urban design and even signature districts and (iii) event hallmarking - where places organize events, usually cultural (e.g., European Capital of Culture, henceforth referred to as ECoC) or sporting (e.g., the Olympic Games), in order to obtain worldwide recognition.
