Abstract: Pure nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles and NiO-Mn2O3, NiO-CdO, NiO-Pb2O3, NiO –ZnO nanocomposites were synthesized by co-precipitation method. The PXRD studies revealed that NiO, Mn2O3 and CdO possessed cubic structure, Pb2O3 possessed monoclinic structure, ZnO possessed hexagonal structure and confirmed the presence of polycrystallinity nature of NiO and Mn2O3, CdO, Pb2O3, ZnO in the nanocomposites. The average grain size of NiO nanoparticles was found to be 30.10 nm using Debye Scherer’s formula. The FESEM images of NiO nanoparticles and their nanocomposites revealed spherical shaped structure and NiO-Pb2O3 revealed needle shaped rod-like structure. EDAX analysis confirmed the composition of NiO nanoparticles and their nanocomposites. Raman spectra exhibited characteristic peaks of pure NiO and that of NiO- Mn2O3, NiO-CdO, NiO- Pb2O3, NiO-ZnO in the synthesized nanocomposites. In the PL spectra, blue and green emission was observed in the samples. UV-vis spectra revealed the absorption peaks of NiO nanoparticles and their nanocomposites. Thus, the synthesized NiO- Mn2O3, NiO-CdO, NiO - Pb2O3 and NiO-ZnO nanocomposites can be a suitable material for electrocatalysis applications. Keywords: Nickel oxide nanocomposites, Structure, Morphology, Absorption, Luminescence.

Low cost Co-Precipitation  method was used for Preparation of novel nickel oxide (NiO) nano particle thin films with Simple, with two different PH values 6, 12 and its effect on structural and optical properties as an active optical filter. Experimental results of structural properties X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that both Nickel oxide nanoparticles with (PH=6 and 12) have polycrystalline structure smaller average particle size about 8.5 nm for PH=6 in comparison with PH=12. Morphological studies using Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and  atomic force microscope (AFM)  show uniform nano rod distribution for PH=6 with smaller average diameter, average roughness as compared with NiO with PH=12 that showed larger diameter ,grain size , spherical shape with scope of excellent sensing applications due to high roughness .Optical properties results  Show blue shift for PH=6 as compared with PH=12m leading to potential of optoelectronic applications and as active optical

In this work, we report the effect of sintering temperature (900°C, 1000°C, 1100°C and 1200°C) on the electrical and magnetotransport properties of polycrystalline La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO). Single phase of LSMO hexagonal structure (R-3c) accompanied with minor phases was successfully synthesized by co-precipitation method. With increasing sintering temperature, grain growth was promoted and grain connectivity was improved. It was found that an enhancement of resistivity on smaller grain size was due to larger grain surface over volume (grain boundaries effect). The shifting of the metal-insulator transition (TMI) to higher temperature was also responsible for observed changes in physical properties. TMI of 900°C, 1000°C and 1100°C were 232 K, 278 K and 298 K respectively however 1200°C was out of measurement range (higher than 300 K). In summary, CP900 with smaller grain size distribution (~200 nm) displayed the highest resistivity and MR% of -19.2% (at 80 K, 10 kG).

Undoped and Cr doped ZnS nanoparticles with Cr concentrations of 3.0 at.% were prepared by a chemical co-precipitation method for the fist time, using 2-Mercaptoethanol as the capping agent and annealed the synthesized particles at 600°C for 3h in air. The effect of annealing on morphological, structural and optical properties of ZnS and ZnS:Cr have been studied and compared with as prepared samples. EDAX measurements confirmed the presence of Cr in the ZnS lattice and it also confirms the conversion of ZnS into ZnO after annealed at 600 0C/3h. Surface morphologies of all samples were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). XRD spectra of as synthesized nanoparticles of ZnS and ZnS:Cr exhibited cubic phase. After annealing, the cubic phase is transformed into hexagonal phase. The particle sizes of the ZnS:Cr powders were increased from 5 to 30 nm when the powders were annealed at 600°C. A stable blue emission peak at 445 nm is observed from the as prepared samples (pure ZnS and Cr doped ZnS) but annealed at 600 0C the PL peaked at 500 nm for pure ZnS and Cr doped ZnS nanoparticles exhibited PL peak at 500 nm as well as 654 nm. The emission intensity decreased in annealed particles compared to as synthesized samples.

A Coprecipitation Method Was Applied to Synthesize Al2O3/GdAlO3 Compound Powder, Using Ammonia as the Precipitator. Gadolinium Oxide and Aluminium Nitrate Were Used as the Raw Materials with the Eutectic Ratio( 77 mol% Al 3+ – 23 mol% Gd 3+ ). the Precursor Was Calcined at Different Temperatures from 1200 to 1600 °C. the Phase Identifications at Different Temperatures Were Characterized by X-ray Diffractometry (XRD). the Growth Morphology of Particles Were Investigated Using Field Emission Electro Microscopy (FE-SEM). the Results Reveal that GdAlO3 Crystallized Earlier than α-Al2O3. the Diffraction Peaks of α-Al2O3 Phase Were Observed after Calcination at 1300°C for 1 H. Metastable Phase Gd3Al5O12 Underwent Complete Decomposition at 1600°C for 1 H. Gadolinium Aluminate and α-Al2O3 Showed Different Growth Mechanism during the Calcination Process. the Average Grain Size of the Calcined Powder Increased from ~40 to ~900 Nm as the Calcination Temperature Increased from 1200 to 1600 °C.
