Over 50 human chemokines are known at present; the number of the newly discovered compounds from this group still grows. These proteins of low molecular weight, belonging to the family of cytokines with chemotactic properties. Chemokines participate in the physiological and pathological processes of the organism. Recent papers show their role in the processes of embryogenesis, organogenesis, allergies, wound healing, angiogenesis and apoptosis, the course of viral and bacterial infections, autoimmune diseases and cancerogenesis. Chemokines play crucial role in activation and migration of immune cells. Being a key player in chronic inflammation, chemokines may interfere the processes of cellular differentiation and contribute to loss of control over proliferation. Coexistence of inflammatory and cancerogenesis processes, impact of chemokines on cells associated with the tumor and stromal cells, mechanisms of immunological escape is considered to be a current scientific issue. Newly discovered functions of chemokines may reveal their new roles and create the new therapeutic perspectives. It is important to understand the relationship between the structure and function of chemokine receptors, the regulation of their signaling pathways and the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that regulate the expression of chemokines and their receptors. This article presents the current state of knowledge regarding the construction and classification of chemokines and summarizes the most prominent roles of chemokines. Chemokines are still the subject of many scientific studies, new functions are being discovered. It gives an opportunity to limit the development of many dangerous diseases.

AIM The objective of this study is the evaluation of the perception and real knowledge that the doctor working in the diabetological field has of the figure of the Podiatrist. MATERIALS AND METHODS A questionnaire was distributed with 22 questions at two national events (national diabetology congress). The questions were divided into two sections: the first (1-8) for the classification of the sample of doctors and the second (9-22) to explore the relationship between diabetologist and podiatrist. The answers when not codified have been previously classified into coherent, dubious and non-coherent ones to facilitate data analysis. Only the questionnaires filled in by doctors were analyzed. The sample consists of 81 doctors with a median age of 51.6 ± 9.6 years and with a work experience of 20.7 ± 10.8 years, belonging to the metabolic endocrine area (60%) or general medicine (40%) and with a homogeneous distribution on the Italian territory (31% north, 41% center and 28% south), engaged in hospitals for 74.1% of cases and with a prevalence of women (65%). RESULTS From the questionnaires filled out by doctors it appears that the patients are not sent by the hospital podiatrist either because they are not present (66%) or because their presence is not known (42%). The same reasons why patients are not sent to podiatrists operating in the area: they are not known (40%) or there are none (40%). In most cases, collaboration with podiatrists is reserved for simple injuries (61%), this is probably related to the reduced knowledge of doctors towards the skills of this professional category. From the data it emerges that the function of the podiatrist is underestimated in 75% of the interviewees while only 62% would like a greater use in prevention and 17% in the active participation of the diabetological team. CONCLUSIONS The figure of the Podiatrist, in the current state of knowledge has proved to be very little known by the medical class, and involved only for small diseases. Furthermore, it would be desirable to update the professional profile so as to be comparable to that of other European countries. KEY WORDS podiatrist; diabetologist; diabetic foot; diabetic foot team.

Soil fertility determines a plant's development process that guarantees food sufficiency and the security of lives and properties through bumper harvests. The fertility of soil varies according to regions, thereby determining the type of crops to be planted. However, there is no repository or any source of information about the fertility of the soil in any region in Nigeria especially the Northwest of the country. The only available information is soil samples with their attributes which gives little or no information to the average farmer. This has affected crop yield in all the regions, more particularly the Northwest region, thus resulting in lower food production.  Therefore, this study is aimed at classifying soil data based on their fertility in the Northwest region of Nigeria using R programming. Data were obtained from the department of soil science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The data contain 400 soil samples containing 13 attributes. The relationship between soil attributes was observed based on the data. K-means clustering algorithm was employed in analyzing soil fertility clusters. Four clusters were identified with cluster 1 having the highest fertility, followed by 2 and the fertility decreases with an increasing number of clusters. The identification of the most fertile clusters will guide farmers on where best to concentrate on when planting their crops in order to improve productivity and crop yield.

Purpose. The aim of the work is to consider the novelties of the legislative work, which provide for the concept and classification of criminal offenses in accordance with the current edition of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the draft of the new Code developed by the working group and put up for public discussion. Point out the gaps in the current legislation and the need to revise individual rules of the project in this aspect. The methodology. The methodology includes a comprehensive analysis and generalization of the available scientific and theoretical material and the formulation of appropriate conclusions and recommendations. During the research, the following methods of scientific knowledge were used: terminological, logical-semantic, system-structural, logical-normative, comparative-historical. Results In the course of the study, it was determined that despite the fact that the amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine came into force in July of this year, their perfection, in terms of legal technology, raises many objections. On the basis of a comparative study, it was determined that the Draft Criminal Code of Ukraine needs further revision taking into account the opinions of experts in the process of public discussion. Originality. In the course of the study, it was established that the classification of criminal offenses proposed in the new edition of the Criminal Code of Ukraine does not stand up to criticism, since other elements of the classification appear in subsequent articles, which are not covered by the existing one. The draft Code, using a qualitatively new approach to this issue, retains the elements of the previous classification and has no practical significance in law enforcement. Practical significance. The results of the study can be used in law-making activities to improve the norms of the current Criminal Code, to classify criminal offenses, as well as to further improve the draft Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Bronze drums are widely distributed, broader than the range of a nation. Therefore, the identification of each kind of drum is a basic subject, should be concerned. In determining the tribal identity of the drum, the classification of drum is the key stage, the relationship between the objective of the classification and classification criteria is the relation as shape and shadow, if there is no right criteria then the result of division will be difficult to reach the desired goal. Likewise, the criterion of the pattern on the bronze drum brought to the affirmation is the Dong Son bronze drum of the Lac Viet people. And the parallel is the affirmation of the culture, way of life, residence of the nation created the drum.

The submitted study addresses the topic of the current state of the opinion journalism and its genres in the Slovak periodical press. The author draws attention to the question of classification of the opinion journalism of a rational and emotional type from the genre categorization point of view and, simultaneously, reflects on its application in the present journalistic practice. This brings a certain rate of confrontation between the defined theoretical premises and their subsequent practical (non-)implementation. The main objective of the study is to clarify the presence of genres of analytical and literary opinion journalism stated by media theory in the environment of the Slovak periodicals. Presentation of the basic terminological axis and the related explication of journalism genres included in the opinion journalism constitute the secondary objectives of the paper. For the purposes of achieving the set objectives, the author uses methods of logical analysis of text in combination with discourse analysis. Similarly, she predicts the evident presence of the phenomenon of hybridization in the Slovak journalistic practice.
