This study, it was aimed to examine the attitudes of university students receiving distance education towards distance education in terms of various demographic characteristics. The survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. 764 university students who were selected by the criterion sampling method and who received distance education in the COVID-19 pandemic participated in the study. In the collection of data, the Attitude Scale towards Distance Education was used and the data were collected online with the prepared form. Various statistical analyses were made on the collected data and the results were discussed within the framework of research questions. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that university students' attitudes towards distance education were low. It has been observed that the scores of the scale of attitude towards distance education differ in terms of gender and grade level. It was also observed in the study that having a computer and internet connection at home and the level of participation in the virtual classrooms had a positive effect on the attitude towards distance education. In this period when distance education is not a choice but a necessity, it is recommended that the education to be provided should be planned well to achieve the expected quality and to increase the level of success. It is thought that these results obtained from the study will contribute to distance education institutions and planners.

The aim of this research is to determine teachers’ attitude levels towards assessment and evaluation who teach Turkish as a foreign language and to examine them in terms of various variables. Survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. Teachers (n=233) who teach Turkish in various institutions participated in the research. “Personal Information Form” prepared by researchers and “Assessment and Evaluation Attitude Scale for Teachers” developed by Tezci (2019) were used as data collection tools in the research. As a result of the research, it was determined that on average the Turkish teachers’ attitude scores towards assessment and evaluation is at a “high” level with 4.11. In addition, a significant difference was found between the Turkish teachers’ attitudes towards assessment and evaluation and the variables such as professional experience, receiving training for assessment and evaluation in language teaching, analising of prepared exams in terms of assessment and evaluation and evaluation and perceiving themselves as literate in assessment and evaluation. No significant difference was found between the attitudes of those who teach Turkish towards assessment in terms of the faculty they graduated from, the institutions where they were employed, regular exam preparation status, the hardest skill to assess, and the hardest skill to evaluate. Although attitudes of teachers towards assessment and evaluation are found at a “high” level in the research, taking into consideration the fact that there are many deficiencies in terms of assessment and evaluation in teaching Turkish as a foreign language and 46% of the teachers in this study consider themselves moderately literate in terms of assessment and evaluation, suggestions were made that it is necessary to work on what other factors affect teachers’ assessment and evaluation literacy

The aim of this study is to determine university students’ views on planning and conducting lectures in distance education, teaching materials, communication situations, and the difficulties they experience. A descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. Within the scope of the research, a distance education student satisfaction questionnaire developed based on the experiences of the researcher himself and an information form containing the personal information of the participants were used to collect data. The data collection tool was prepared over Google forms and delivered to 1,632 university students via What Sapp and mail. Since the study was prepared in descriptive and scanning type, descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the analysis of the data obtained. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis of the first, third, fifth, and sixth questions; T-test and ANOVA were used in the analysis of the second and fourth questions. According to the findings of the research, it is seen that the anxiety of the students participating in the research is concentrated on the lectures and exams. Students with self-discipline overcome this process positively, while students without self-discipline often experience problems.

Purpose This study aims to examine the entrepreneurial intentions of university students at the International University of Sarajevo. For this purpose, the entrepreneurial desires and entrepreneurial orientations of the students across several demographic variables were measured. These variables included prior entrepreneurial experience, student’s gender, faculty, year of study and attitude towards more courses on entrepreneurship. Nevertheless, the research also examined how business environment influences the entrepreneurial intentions of students by considering the same set of variables. Design/methodology/approach The objectives of this paper have been achieved by using a quantitative research instrument, where the cross-sectional survey method for collecting primary data is used. In total, 173 usable responses have been collected from the beginning of April to the end of May in the academic year 2015/2016. Findings The results indicate that the greater the demotivation with the current business surrounding, the smaller the entrepreneurial intentions of the students are when the prior entrepreneurial experience, gender, year of study and attitude towards more courses on entrepreneurship are considered. The study suggests that improving the overall business surrounding and entrepreneurial education might increase the entrepreneurial intentions of the students. This article describes the research results aimed at distance education during the Covid-19 pandemic and closing schools and its symmetry with the classical state in terms of time, difficulty, and the mental and physical condition of students. An important aspect is therefore to maintain the symmetry of attitudes to teaching in face-to-face form and distance form. In terms of the eight-year gymnasium in the Czech Republic, students’ attitudes to the teaching subject informatics were investigated. The main research questions in our study dealt with whether students felt equally balanced regarding the amount of tasks and time taken for home preparation during the Covid-19 outbreak compared with the time before the quarantine and their condition (both mental and physical) during the Covid-19 outbreak. The research was conducted using an anonymous questionnaire, which was answered by 110 out of 180 students. According to the results, it is evident that students felt that during the distance education, there are more tasks compared to face-to-face ones. Students also claimed to spend more time learning at distance education than at school. On the other hand, they agreed that the self-education schedule is suitable for them. In terms of the questionnaire, their condition (both mental and physical) was also evaluated, which was slightly above the average.

This study aimed to investigate Jordanian university students’ attitudes toward online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, shed light on the obstacles students encounter in online learning, and suggest possible solutions. A questionnaire designed by the researchers was used to elicit responses from a study sample consisting of 195 students from the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Jordan – Aqaba. As this is an attitudinal study, the survey questionnaire was designed to elicit student responses on the following domains: gender, seniority level, socioeconomic status, training and orientation for using eLearning platforms, and their attitudes, whether positive or negative, toward online learning. Results of this quantitative research showed that student attitudes toward online learning are generally negative. The majority of the respondents reported that they prefer face-to-face classroom instruction over online learning because it gives them direct contact with the instructors. Furthermore, results revealed statistically significant differences amongst students attributed to their gender, whereas no differences were found with regards to their seniority of study, socioeconomic status, and the eLearning platform they prefer to use. The study concludes by proposing some pedagogical recommendations.
