Seven sites within the Grand River Watershed east of Cleveland, OH were surveyed for Nitidulidae (Coleoptera) for three years (1992–1994), to establish long-term population trends for future reference. Particular interest was devoted to the possible impact of pesticides or natural disasters on feral nitidulids in the Grand River Watershed. Nitidulidae were chosen due to their widespread abundance at the soil surface/leaf litter interface. At least 35 species of nitidulids were collected. According to our classification scheme, 18 were designated “rare locally,” 7 were “moderate” in abundance, and 10 were categorized as “abundant.”
