Jay orchardgrass

Jay is a cultivar of orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) developed by the Crop Science Department, University of Guelph. It was developed by half-sib progeny testing for yield, leafiness, and late-maturity. It is similar in herbage yield and plant height but slightly later maturing than the cultivar Kay.
