AC Elect summer rape (Brassica napus L.), registered in 1992, is a canola-quality cultivar that combines early to medium maturity with high seed yield. In addition, AC Elect has very high seed oil, and high meal protein content. MillenniUM 01 summer rape (Brassica napus L.) is a high-erucic acid, low-glucosinolate (i.e. canola-quality meal) cultivar. It has an average 7% yield advantage over Reston high erucic acid, low glucosinolate summer rape, is 11 g kg−1 higher in seed oil content than Reston, 25 g kg−1 higher in meal protein content than Reston, and is adapted to the southern B. napus growing regions of western Canada. Mercury summer rape (Brassica napus L.) is a high-erucic acid rapeseed cultivar with canola-quality meal. The oil provides a good source of erucic acid for industrial applications and the canola-quality meal can be used in the feed industry. Mercury has an average 10% yield advantage over Hero rapeseed with seed oil and protein contents comparable with Hero rapeseed.
