Die vraag wat in hierdie artikel ondersoek word, is of gebed enige rol speel in die herwinning en verwerking van traumageheue tydens die proses van innerlike genesing. Die emosioneel verwonde persoon word soms op verskeie vlakke van die lewe gekortwiek as gevolg van hierdie emosionele pyn. Vir innerlike genesing om te realiseer, is dit nodig dat die persoon die onderdrukte, onverwerkte emosies wat op ’n traumagebeurtenis volg, moet erken en verwerk. In baie gevalle is dit egter onmoontlik vir die persoon om die skakeling te maak tussen sy of haar huidige probleme en onderdrukte, onverwerkte emosies. In gevalle waar daar dissosiasie plaasgevind het, kan die persoon nie die emosies spontaan herroep en hanteer nie. Dit is onder andere in sulke gevalle waar gebedsterapie van groot waarde kan wees. Tydens gebedsterapie tree die pastorale berader as fasiliteerder op om die persoon na Jesus Christus te bring sodat Hy hom kan genees. In werklikheid word Jesus Christus se bediening steeds voortgesit. Oorwinning oor pynlike trauma-herinneringe stel die mens in staat om emosionele en geestelike groei te beleef.Prayer therapy in the healing of traumatic memories. The research question in this article pertains to whether prayer has a place in recovering and healing traumatic memories during the process of inner healing. A person is often challenged at different levels because of emotional pain. For inner healing to happen, suppressed memories need to be identified and processed. In many cases the person finds it impossible to make a connection between current problems and repressed emotions. When dissociation occurs, the person cannot spontaneously recall these emotions. It is in such cases that prayer therapy may prove to be of value. During prayer ministry the counsellor acts as facilitator leading the counselee by faith into the presence of Jesus Christ for healing. On effect, the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ is continued in this way. Conquering painful, traumatic memories in this manner will help the person to grow spiritually and recover emotionally.

This article addresses the issue of conflict between religious communities that cause enmity amid society. Hostilities must be overcome and resolved in accordance with the call of Christianity to live in love and peace. The study used the qualitative paradigm as the method of the research and the descriptive-analyses as the writing method by describing the research problems based on data collected from related publications.One of the powerful messages of Jesus's teaching is "Love your enemies." It’s one of the greatest challenges in life. Jesus Christ gave an important doctrine about loving the enemy because love is more powerful than evil, hurtful deeds. Loving the enemy means canceling hostilities and violence, but instead, it promises acceptance of each other. The title of this study is "love your enemies": A Christian Response to Embrace Others. As the title of this study is "love your enemies," the reason for the selection of this article is because the author sees that "loving the enemy is a commandment from God that must be obeyed. This research question emphasizes how to realize "loving the enemy" amid hostility. This paper argues that Jesus's command to love the enemy is a proper Christian lifestyle choice in the midst of hostility. We use CS Song thoughts, which elaborated with other scholars' views on theology, loving, and embracing others. The purpose of the research was to gain understanding and build a theological reflection on Jesus' commandment to love the enemy. In this article, we first briefly discuss the portrait of life among religious people in Indonesia. Secondly, we discuss the conflict between religious people in Indonesia. Finally, we apply the command of Jesus to love our enemy as a Christian lifestyle in the midst of hostility to construct harmony amid hostility. We propose the command of Jesus to ‘love your enemy’ as a response to establishing sustainable peace by embrace others. Finally, the Christians must become a loving community because God so loved us, and we also ought to love and embrace others.

Problem This research investigated the understanding and perceptions of Saudi educators toward multiculturalism and multicultural education in Saudi Arabia. The research had three broad questions. The first question was, "What are Saudi educators’ conceptions of culture and multicultural education?" The second research question was, "What practices do educators employ concerning multicultural education?” The third research question was, "How do educators implement multicultural education for their students at schools with different levels of cultural diversity?" Method In this study, I used the qualitative multiple case study research design to explore the understanding and the attitudes of Saudi educators regarding multiculturalism and multicultural education. The study was applied in the Holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, which is one of the most highly diverse cities in the whole country. The participants of this study were selected from two elementary schools with different levels of cultural diversity. The participants were varied in their school positions, teaching subjects, and levels of education. To collect the data of the study, I developed the interview protocol and conducted semi-structured interviews for teachers and administrators to understand Saudi educators' attitudes and perceptions regarding multicultural education. Interpretations The findings of the study were categorized into four themes. First, culture was defended into three different ways: a gained knowledge, customs and traditions, and an integrated life system. Second, the relationship between culture and education was seen from three different perspectives: the cultural background influences students' learning, the family's background influences students’ learning, and the school’s culture influences students’ learning. Third, participants' perspectives regarding multiculturalism and multicultural education were divided into three viewpoints: multiculturalism empowers the community and it improves students’ achievements at schools, multiculturalism empowers the teacher's performance in the classroom, and multiculturalism and multicultural education participate in losing the Islamic and Arabic identities for Saudi students. The fourth theme was related to teachers’ professional development. All participants agreed that training programs provided form the Educational Training Department did not reach their desired needs. Implications of the Study The findings of this research have implications regarding multiculturalism and multicultural education in Saudi Arabia. First, the meaning of multicultural education used in the western world was not compatible with the culture of Islamic societies, including Saudi people. Therefore, there is a need for developing a multicultural education philosophy for Arab and Muslim societies that take into account the Arabic and Islamic identities. Second, equity in education is the backbone of the education system in Saudi Arabia. However, Saudi teachers need to be informed about equity in education and students' rights to empower all students to succeed. Third, there is a need for developing an Arabic language learning program for non-Arabic speakers. The fourth implication is that teacher professional development programs need to be developed to prepare teachers to participate in building the future of the country.

After mapping dimensions and directions of experience in applying mobile technologies to Chinese language learning, another key task is to measure different levels of experience in terms of its dimensions and directions of learners' experience in leveraging mobile technologies, mobile learning apps in particular. Equipped with the proposed 6E-r framework of mobile experience, this chapter provides indicators and criteria in measuring mobile learning experience in applying mobile technologies to Chinese language learning around the world. This chapter also developed an online questionnaire for future research reference in order to successfully gauge the different levels of experience in applying mobile technologies to Chinese language learning. Ultimately, this chapter attempted to resolve the research question, that is, how mobile learning experience is enhanced by narrowing the gap between the normative experience and the empirical experience.

At the dawn of a new European Green Deal (EGD), it is necessary to reconsider the plans and actions that have characterized the European energy policies during recent decades by tuning and updating the priorities and targets. The present work moves from the systematic review of the documents, laws, and scientific studies concerning energy and climate initiatives to the analysis of the role of the Strategic Energy and Technology Plan (SET Plan) in the energy transition. Thus, the principal research question addresses the influence of the SET Plan on multi-level energy policies. To answer this, firstly, the juridical framework in which the SET Plan was instituted is provided; secondly, its correlation to the upcoming EDG is described and the targets identified by each Implementation Working Group (IWG) are discussed. Such a dissertation is followed by the investigation of the activities at various levels from the IWG on Renewable Fuels and Bioenergy. The study has confirmed that the SET Plan contributed to shaping the energy and climate policy at European, national, and regional levels by implementing synergies among different levels of governance, different sectors, and various stakeholders (both public and private). Furthermore, it eased the sharing of data on flagship projects by periodically monitoring the achieved results.

With the Railway Age, the perception of the landscape has changed. In Austria, the world’s first high mountain railway was built in the middle of the 19th century. It crosses the Alps at one of their eastern foothills, the Semmering. The central subject of this study is the landscape that was completely transformed by the construction of the Semmering Railway between 1852 and 1873. How was the Semmering perceived before it was discovered by the Viennese society as a region of summer resort? How were the massive changes in the Alpine landscape caused by the construction of the railway portrayed in the medium of contemporary travel guides?The sources investigated cover the period from the construction of the Semmering Railway to the discovery of the region as a summer resort. Starting with the first travel guides to the construction site and ending with the travel guides to the completed railway, seven main sources were analysed. As a starting point for the qualitative content analysis, a system of categories was developed as a search grid to filter the relevant aspects for answering the research question. The analysis follows the process of coding, paraphrasing and generalizing, and clearly reveals different levels of perception. The landscape in which the railway was built was described in extremely positive, poetic formulations. The negatively judging descriptions are particularly remarkable in the context of the travel guides, as they can be read as a critical reflection of the changed situation. Instead of regretting the destruction of nature, the victory of man or technology over nature was celebrated. From the comparison of the travel guides to the construction site and those to the completed railway, the progress of the construction work is clearly readable. The magnificence of the construction project was beyond question from the very beginning. The travel guides allow one to comprehend this, at the time rather young, transformation of the landscape; they open up a differentiated view of the landscape.

The presence of cultural, creative and experiential projects in several Islamic countries evidences that the characterization of their main dimensions in diverse operational processes is a very interesting research question. From a comparative perspective, the application of Lean Six Sigma in the context of cultural institutions and organizations shows the usefulness to intervene on certain variables at different levels of management performance. This paper aims: 1) to describe the characterization of Lean Six Sigma as a set of techniques providing positive outcomes in the creative industry; and 2) to evaluate empirically the main dimensions for success of these core processes at a museum in an Islamic country. Firstly, this research describes a review of those approaches and secondly a rigorous managerial process is presented and validated. The results and conclusions of this research are relevant in decisions of cultural policy, but also on the operational practice and management theory in the scope of this study.

RESUMO:Este artigo investiga a questão de pesquisa Como se caracteriza o ethos de violência e quais as diferenças entre os sites de redes sociais Orkut, Facebook e Twitter, no que tange à construção desse fenômeno discursivo? Objetiva-se, portanto, analisar os diferentes níveis de ethos de violência encontrados nesses sites de redes sociais, comparando-os e categorizando seus tipos. Para tanto, desenvolve-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo documental e empírico-interpretativa, com emprego do método indutivo na análise de um corpus composto por 30 páginas iniciais de sites de redes sociais. As análises dos dados fundamentam-se teoricamente na Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, com base essencialmente nas pesquisas de Maingueneau (2016, 2013, 2010, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2002, 1998, 1995), e constata três categorias dos ethos de violência, a saber: a) Ethos vinculado a representações de agressão física; b) Ethos vinculado a representações de ofensa moral; c) Ethos vinculado a representações de intolerância. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: ethos de violência; ethos discursivo; redes sociais; comunidades virtuais; ciberviolência contra professores.   ABSTRACT:This article investigates the research question How is the ethos of violence characterized and what are the differences among the social networking websites Orkut, Facebook and Twitter, regarding the construction of this discursive phenomenon? The objective is to analyze the different levels of ethos of violence found in these social networking websites, comparing them and categorizing their types. For that, a qualitative, documentary and empirical-interpretative research is developed, using the inductive method in the analysis of a corpus composed of 30 initial pages of virtual social networks. The analysis of the data is theoretically based on the analysis of the French Speech Discourse, based essentially on Maingueneau's research (2016, 2013, 2010, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2002, 1998, 1995). Ethos of violence, namely: a) Ethos linked to representations of physical aggression; B) Ethos linked to representations of moral offense; C) Ethos linked to representations of intolerance. Background: Many sustainability initiatives are successful and produce results that benefit the environment. However, others miss the mark and fail to produce the desired outcome. Past research has typically focused on understanding why initiatives fail, without first considering differences in how they fail. Focus of the Article: This manuscript is related to Research and Evaluation—specifically, the social marketing concept it focuses on is evaluating the outcome of sustainability initiatives. Research Question: What are the different ways in which sustainability initiatives can fail? Program Design/Approach: A multi-day workshop of interdisciplinary behavioral sustainability scholars led to the identification of five systematic differences in how sustainability initiatives can fail, suggesting that failure can take on not only different levels of severity, but different forms altogether. Within this framework, we provide examples of each type of failure. Importance to the Social Marketing Field: We argue that diagnosing how instead of just why an initiative fails offers important insights that can reduce the likelihood of future failures—insights that may be missed by a narrow focus on the why behind any given failure. Recommendations for Research or Practice: The identification of the different ways in which sustainability initiatives fail can lead to improvements in the design and implementation of behavioral interventions, facilitating successful sustainability outcomes and preventing unintended outcomes. Specific recommendations are discussed for each type of failure. Limitations: The examples in our framework are not exhaustive, but are instead intended to be illustrative exemplars of each type of failure. Moreover, as our focus is on how sustainability initiatives fail, we do not attempt to diagnose why particular initiatives fail.

This book explores the emergence and expansion of global kosher and halal markets with a particular focus on the UK and Denmark. Kosher is a Hebrew term meaning “fit” or “proper” while halal is an Arabic word that literally means “permissible” or “lawful”. This is the first book of its kind to explore kosher and halal comparatively at different levels of the social scale such as individual consumption, the marketplace, religious organisations and the state. Within the last two decades or so, kosher and halal markets have become global in scope and states, manufacturers, restaurants, shops, certifiers and consumers around the world are faced with ever stricter and more complex kosher and halal requirements. The book is based on extended periods of research carried out in the UK and Denmark where kosher and halal are of particular significance. The research question in this book is: What are the consequences of globalising kosher and halal markets? This book argues that the similarities and differences between kosher and halal consumption, production and regulation in different national contexts are not well understood. We further argue that to better understand global kosher and halal markets these should be explored at different levels of the social scale. The book will be appropriate for students in a variety of upper-level undergraduate courses and graduate seminars as well as academics of food (science), sociology/anthropology, religion, globalisation, politics, economics, business/management as well as companies that are or want to be kosher/halal certified. It will also be of interest to religious organisations and policy makers.

Understanding the persistence of specialists and generalists within ecological communities is a topical research question, with far-reaching consequences for the maintenance of functional diversity. Although theoretical studies indicate that restricted conditions may be necessary to achieve co-occurrence of specialists and generalists, analyses of larger empirical (and species-rich) communities reveal the pervasiveness of coexistence. In this paper, we analyze 175 ecological bipartite networks of three interaction types (animal hosts-parasite, plant-herbivore and plant-pollinator), and measure the extent to which these communities are composed of species with different levels of specificity in their biotic interactions. We find a continuum from specialism to generalism. Furthermore, we demonstrate that diversity tends to be greatest in networks with intermediate connectance, and argue this is because of physical constraints in the filling of networks.
