This work is a qualitative analysis of the ornithological diversity in the area of Metauro river estuary and its lower course (Fano, Marche, Italy), a set of little wetlands of great birdlife conservation interest, defined in an urbanized context. Data collection took place through standardized censuses and ornithological observations in situ, from September 2010 to September 2020, integrated with an accurate bibliographic research on historical data. A total of 253 species have been recorded in the site; 59 (23.32%) breed in the area, whereas 50 (19.76%) species are vagrant and 72 species (28.57%) are included in the Annex I of the Birds Directive (79/409/CEE). We determined the following indices: NP/P (ratio between the number of species non Passerines and Passerines) = 1.94, O.V.I. (Ornithological Value Index) = 20.80. The data relating to species of conservation interest and vagrant are reported in detail, in order to provide useful information for interventions for greater protection of the area. The high ornithological diversity and species richness highlighted in this study confirms the regional and national importance of the Metauro river estuary and the wetlands in its lower course, providing further data and giving support to more incisive conservation interventions, made necessary by the ever-increasing impact of disturbance and low naturalistic protection, that threatens the existence of the various and small biotopes of this important naturalistic area.

The MyotonPro® (Myoton AS, Tallinn, Estonia) is commonly used to quantify stiffness properties of living tissues in situ. Current studies quantify the dynamic stiffness properties of living tissues, but do not validate or compare these measurements to a standardized method. Additionally, living tissue, being dynamic in nature, presents much variability in data collection. To address these issues this study focuses on the repeatability and reproducibility of the MyotonPro® on polymeric gel-based tissue phantoms. In addition, a correlation study is also performed to translate dynamic stiffness to a more standardized property, Young’s modulus. Such studies help to confirm the reliability of the measurements obtained in situ.

The present study aimed at evaluating differences in rotifer distribution in three estuarine zones in an inverse estuary located in the Semiarid Region of Brazil. Zones were chosen based on their proximity to the ocean and river border as a means of reflecting a horizontal salinity gradient. High freshwater discharge during the rainy season was the major determinant of rotifer composition. On the other hand, due to higher salinity values during the dry season, very low values of species richness and abundance were observed in all zones. Therefore, the study highlights the constraints of salinity and the positive influence of seasonality and river proximity on rotifer species in a semiarid estuarine environment.

Purpose: This study was carried out in a cork company and its purpose was to observe and analyze the practices and methods used during the tools/series change moments and to propose improvements and alternatives to these same procedures so that the time needed to carry out the setup is reduced by 15% in both lines. Methodology/Approach:The methodology included the following phases: 1st - historical data collection and setup video recording, 2nd - footage analysis and conduction of informal interviews with employees, 3rd - flow, Gantt, and spaghetti charts creation and making of an action plan based on the waste and improvement opportunities identified in video analysis, 4th - validation with the line workers of the new operating mode created with the Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) tool and communication to the Maintenance department about their role in this project, 5th - making and placement of plasticized cards on the cutting lines to ensure that new operating mode is followed and carrying out the actions identified in the action plan. Findings: Throughout this project using observations, video recording and its subsequent analysis, as well as interviews to the workers operating in the line, it was found the existence of several actions carried out by them during the setups which did not add value to the product, lack of adequate tools for the work to be performed and lack of work tools in general Research Limitation/implication: The study was limited by the lines and products under study and by the duration of the curricular internship, which was about five months. Originality/Value of paper: The article demonstrates the added value in terms of product quality and production output rate that SMED methodology can bring to companies that adopt the lean philosophy and in particular this continuous improvement tool.

This research was conducted at the Yogya Purwakarta Toserba Food Court. The problem that occurred at the Yogya Purwakarta Toserba Food Court was that the concept of the collaboration agreement that was carried out tended to be wrong. The purpose of this study was first to determine the cooperation agreement undertaken by the UMKM with the "Yogya Rasa", namely the system of cooperation agreements for results. Cooperation agreement for profit sharing here is a cooperation agreement made by one party with another party. Where one party provides facilities or infrastructure in the form of a place in the form of a counter while the other party occupies the counter with a profit sharing system. second to find out the suitability of the Musyarakah contract concept. The cooperation agreement that has been carried out by the UMKM with the manager of Yogya Toserba Food Court is in accordance with the Syirkah Mudharabah concept in which this collaboration is carried out by the first party contributing capital and work at the same time while the second party only contributes only venture capital while profits are shared according to mutual agreement. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis approach method. Data collection can be done by the method of observation, interviews and documentation

This thesis provides the first documentation and description of the signs created and used by deaf individuals in Vanuatu. The specific aims of this research were as follows: to establish the sociolinguistic context experienced by deaf people in Vanuatu; to identify the repertoire and characteristics of signs used by the deaf participants; to compare features of participants’ individual signs with the characteristics of home signs and emerging sign languages; and to consider the degree of similarity and potential similarity of signs between participants and how this reflects individuals’ opportunities for contact with other deaf people and signing interlocutors. The limitations of this study are that field methodology for data collection was developed in situ as conditions allowed. The sociolinguistic context for deaf Ni-Vanuatu confirms that language isolation leads to marginalisation from community and society. The study established that these home sign lexicons were limited in quantity and conceptual range, and that shared background knowledge was essential for comprehension. Overall, 22 handshapes were documented, and the predominant handshapes unmarked. Most participants preferred handling strategy for depicting signs. Some evidence of noun-verb distinction was noted in the repertoire of some participants. However, across this range of formational characteristics, results showed significant individual variations. Furthermore, multiple barriers have precluded development of a shared sign language and any form of deaf community.
