The record of a new sample of <em>Dolichopoda</em> from Northern Iran is reported. The morphological study of this material allowed the authors to attribute the studied specimens to <em>D. Hyrcana</em> Bey-Bienko, 1969, whose geographic distribution now extends eastwards to the Alborz Mountains in North Iran.

We present the first occurrence of Trachycephalus nigromaculatus Tschudi, 1838 in the state of Piauí. This new record is from southern Piauí and represents the northwestern known occurrence record of this species, expanding its geographic distribution.

Marmosa (Stegomarmosa) andersoni Pine, 1972 is one of the rarest members of the genus Marmosa. This species is endemic to southeastern Peru and currently known from only 3 close localities in Cusco. Herein we report a new record for the species from Pasco, which extends its geographic distribution by 360 km and represents its northernmost record

The geographic distribution of Hatcheria macraei (Girard 1855), the Patagonian Catfish, is herein extended north of the Río Colorado headwaters, the previous northernmost record for the species. H. macraei is registered from the Río Jagüé, in the headwaters of the Río Desaguadero basin (Northwestern Argentina). Morphometric and meristic data of collected specimens are included.

The genus Xenohyla is currently composed of two species, X. truncata (Izecksohn, 1959) and Xenohyla eugenioi Caramaschi, 1998. Both species are usually found inside bromeliads; X. truncata inhabits the restingas of the state of Rio de Janeiro, southeastern Brazil, and X. eugenioi transitional areas between the Atlantic Forest and the Caatinga biomes in northeastern Brazil. We report the first record of X. eugenioi in the state of Sergipe, expanding the species geographic distribution by 423.4 km in a straight line in relation to its type locality, in the municipality of Maracás, south-central state of Bahia, Brazil.

We report a range extension of the Grey Woolly Monkey, Lagothrix cana, from southwestern Amazonia, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Lagothrix cana was seen in a forest fragment near the “arc of deforestation”. This new record shows the need for conservation of forests in the region to protect this endangered species.

Phalloceros spiloura Lucinda, 2008 is known from the coastal drainages of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina States, Iguaçu and Uruguai river basins. Its geographic distribution is herein extended to a new basin, the Laguna dos Patos system, an isolated costal drainage from Southern Brazil.

Adelphobates castaneoticus uses the woody husks of Brazil nut trees, Bertholletia excelsa, (without nuts and filled with water) as oviposition sites. Three specimens of A. castaneoticus were found near Brazil nut trees in Novo Progresso, Pará State, Brazil. This record increases the distribution this species more than 500 km to the southwest.

Available Information

The known geographic distribution of Siagonodon brasiliensis is restricted to three locations in the Brazilian Cerrado, in Piauí, Bahia and Minas Gerais states. I present here a new record for this species in Minas Gerais. One specimen of S. brasiliensis was collected at Fazenda Sant’Ana, municipality of João Pinheiro, northwest Minas Gerais, on a plateau area with sandy soil covered with Cerrado stricto sensu. The available information suggests that this species may be specialized in that kind of habitat. Pholidosis, morphometric and color characters of the collected specimen are presented.
