In this paper, we first prove that any atom of a permutation obtained by the super-shuffle product of two permutations can only consist of some complete atoms of the original two permutations. Then, we prove that the super-shuffle product and the cut-box coproduct on permutations are compatible, which makes it a bialgebra. As this algebra is graded and connected, it is a Hopf algebra.

International audience We consider the graded Hopf algebra $NCSym$ of symmetric functions with non-commutative variables, which is analogous to the algebra $Sym$ of the ordinary symmetric functions in commutative variables. We give formulaes for the product and coproduct on some of the analogues of the $Sym$ bases and expressions for a shuffle product on $NCSym$. We also consider the invariants of the hyperoctahedral group in the non-commutative case and a state a few results. Nous considérons l'algèbre de Hopf graduée $NCSym$ des fonctions symétriques en variables non-commutatives, qui est analogue à l'algèbre $Sym$ des fonctions symétriques en variables commutatives. Nous donnons des formules pour le produit et coproduit sur certaines des bases analogues à celles de $Sym$, ainsi qu'une expression pour le produit $\textit{shuffle}$ sur $NCSym$. Nous considérons aussi les invariants du groupe hyperoctaédral dans le cas non-commutatif et énonçons quelques résultats.

We show how classical Markov processes can be obtained from quantum Lévy processes. It is shown that quantum Lévy processes are quantum Markov processes, and sufficient conditions for restrictions to subalgebras to remain quantum Markov processes are given. A classical Markov process (which has the same time-ordered moments as the quantum process in the vacuum state) exists whenever we can restrict to a commutative subalgebra without losing the quantum Markov property.8 Several examples, including the Azéma martingale, with explicit calculations are presented. In particular, the action of the generator of the classical Markov processes on polynomials or their moments are calculated using Hopf algebra duality.

Reshetikhin and Turaev [10] gave a method to construct a topological invariant of compact oriented 3-manifolds from a ribbon Hopf algebra (e.g. a quantum group Uq(sl2)) using finite-dimensional representations of it. In this paper we give another independent method to construct a topological invariant of compact oriented 3-manifolds from a ribbon Hopf algebra via universal invariants of framed links without using representations of the algebra. For Uq(sl2) these two methods give different invariants of 3-manifolds.
