AbstractAhnea keejeongi Park and Carlton (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae), a new genus and new species of New Zealand endemic beetle belonging to the supertribe Faronitae is described. Six previously described species are included to this genus and four species are synonymised as follow: Sagola dissonans Broun, 1921 and S. planicula Broun, 1921 under Ahnea ventralis (Broun, 1912); S. carinata Broun, 1912 and S. lineiceps Broun, 1921 under Ahnea lineata (Broun, 1893). A key to species, habitus photographs, line drawings of diagnostic characters, and distribution maps are provided.

The taxonomically important characters and subgeneric subdivision of Dichagyris are presented with several historical and nomenclatural considerations. Subdivision of D. vallesiaca is revised based on the type material of the known subspecies. The D. psammochroa group is revised, with description of a new species, D. kurbatskyi from Kazakhstan, and one new subspecies, D. psammochroa kopetdaghimena from the Kopet-Dagh massif. The D. taftana group is revised, with the description of a new species (D. guentereberti from Afghanistan) and two new subspecies (D. taftana elborsasta and D. taftana safavida, from different areas of Iran). The eastern sister species of D. humilis, D. hypotacta from Afghanistan and Pakistan, is described. Major phylogenetic clades of Dichagyris s. str. are associated to western Palaearctic and/or Central Asiatic mountainous regions. Core areas of allopatric speciation of Dichagyris s. str. are discussed with taxonomic considerations and outlook on the subgenera Yigoga and Albocosta, as well.

A new species of the genus Odontocheila Laporte de Castelnau, 1834 is described from Venezuela as Odontocheila paraexcisipenis sp. nov. It is classified as a further species of the large O. cajennensis species-group and described subsequent to the recently published revision of the genus (Moravec (2018). Illustrations of the habitus, diagnostic characters and variability of the new species and distinguishing characters of similar species are presented in colour photographs. Revised key to species of the O. cajennensis species-group is presented with references to descriptions and illustrations of other species of the species-group in the above-cited taxonomic revision of the genus. An essential map of distribution is also given.

Panchrysia can be readily recognized by the brilliant silvery markings diffused on forewings except Panchrysia marmorea (Ronkay, 1986) and Panchrysia deaurata (Esper), which are characterized by the lack of silvery marking. As currently, this genus is consisted of six species, all of species have been recorded from Eurasian geographic distribution (Ronkay et al., 2008). In China, P. marmorea, Panchrysia tibetensis Chou & Lu, 1982, Panchrysia dives (Eversmann, 1844) and Panchrysia ornate (Bremer, 1864) have been recorded (Chou & Lu, 1978, 1979, 1982; Ronkay, 1986; Han et al., 2005; Ronkay et al., 2008). In this article, four species of Panchrysia are reviewed and a new species Panchrysia longcanggouensis sp. nov. is described herein. Their distribution patterns indicate that Panchrysia has a rather wide range from South-West China through the central China to North-East China, and absent in southeastern and northwestern China. A key to species of the genus in China is provided. Adults and genitalia are illustrated. Also a briefly outline the distribution of the component species is given.

The genus Xestia Hübner, 1818 is supposedly a polyphyletic Noctuinae genus, seems to be a complex of lineages, of which the species are often remarkably different externally. Most of the described species are Holarctic. During the last twenty years, 21 new Xestia species and one new subspecies have been described from the eastern Palaearctic (Hreblay, Ronkay, & Plante (1998), Hreblay & Ronkay (1998), Gyulai & Ronkay (2001), Gyulai, Ronkay, & Saldaitis (2011, 2013), Gyulai & Ronkay (2016), Gyulai (2017)).

ABSTRACTFive orthopteran specimens from the uppermost Middle–lowermost Upper Jurassic of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia, China are described and attributed to the genus Sigmaboilus Fang, Zhang & Wang, 2007 (Prophalangopsidae); and a new species, S. calophlebius sp. nov., is established herein. The diagnostic characters for Sigmaboilus are revised and a key to species of Sigmaboilus, based on male forewings, is provided. Intraspecific variation in forewings of this genus is also discussed.
