The widespread availability of audio editing software has made it easy to create acoustically convincing digital audio forgeries. To address this problem, more and more attention has been paid to the field of digital audio forensics. There has been little work, however, in the field of anti-forensics, which seeks to develop a set of techniques designed to fool current forensic methodologies. The compression history of an audio sample can be used to provide evidence of audio forgeries. In this work, we present a simple method for distinguishing the MP3 compression history of an audio sample. We show the proposed anti-forensics method to remove the artifacts of MP3 double compression by destroying the audio frame structure. In addition, effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by three double compression detection methods. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively resist detection from three methods.

<p>Microphone forensics has become a challenging field due to the proliferation of recording devices and explosion in video/audio recording. Video or audio recording helps a criminal investigator to analyze the scene and to collect evidences. In this regards, a robust method is required to assure the originality of some recordings. In this paper, we focus on digital audio forensics and study how to identify the microphone model. Defining microphone model will allow the investigators to conclude integrity of some recordings. We perform statistical analysis on the recording that is collected from two microphones of the same model. Experimental results and analysis indicate that the signal of sound recording of identical microphone is not exactly same and the difference is up to 1% - 3%.</p>

A necessary updating degree is vital for the digital map data in a vehicle navigation system. Only when the digital map data are well updated, can the quality of the navigation be assured. Today the companies devoting to the production of digital map data for vehicle navigation have to cost much labor, material and capital to collect and update data in order to maintain a necessary updating degree. Throughout the history of electronic navigation data updating, they have made considerable progress both on the methods and processes of data production, and the way of map management. Updating from the CD to the network, from the wired to the wireless, from the replacing to the incremental way, each of the technical changes is a power source to enhance the data updating rate. As we all know, the change detection is a prerequisite and base for the electronic navigation data updating. By rapidly developing the area with changes and using the appropriate updating method, we can scientifically maintain the original database of navigation data and terminal physical data. In view of this, starting from application needs for dynamic data updating, this paper analyses change detection methods of navigation data in different versions used for generating incremental data, and focuses on that of rasterizing features and attributes, exploring a new approach to quickly get the incremental data between versions.

Abstract: The author summarizes briefly the history of hand allograft transplantation, the basics of the operative technics, and the medicinal treatment of the immunosuppression. He establishes that this operation requires complicated team-work: many specialists must be united in the interest of the successful final outcome. The biggest problem is not the technical challenge of the complicated operation, but the ineffectiveness of immunosuppression, its complications; even though significant development has happened in this field and experimental results are also encouraging. The author discusses these questions in this publication in the mirror of literature data. Abstract The well-known noncommutativity of three-dimensional finite rotations has long been a curiosity in mechanics since, in actual solution of dynamical problems, the angular velocity, which is conveniently representable as a vector, plays a more natural role. In modern inertial guidance systems, however, the orientation of a body in space, i.e., a rotation, is of primary engineering interest. In this paper a simple method of determining orientation from the time history of three body components of angular velocity is developed by means of a new theorem in kinematics. As a special case of this theorem it is shown that a gyro subjected to a regime of rotations which returns it to the original space orientation will, in general, produce a residual signal. It will have experienced a nonzero and easily calculated mean angular velocity about its input axis. Some implications of the theorem for the design of inertial guidance systems and for the testing of gyros are discussed.

Detecting digital audio forgeries is a significant research focus in the field of audio forensics. In this article, the authors focus on a special form of digital audio forgery—copy-move—and propose a fast and effective method to detect doctored audios. First, the article segments the input audio data into syllables by voice activity detection and syllable detection. Second, the authors select the points in the frequency domain as feature by applying discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to each audio segment. Furthermore, this article sorts every segment according to the features and gets a sorted list of audio segments. In the end, the article merely compares one segment with some adjacent segments in the sorted list so that the time complexity is decreased. After comparisons with other state of the art methods, the results show that the proposed method can identify the authentication of the input audio and locate the forged position fast and effectively.

Existing research on the widely used concrete-filled steel tubes is mainly focused on static or cyclic loading, and the studies on effects of high strain rate are relatively rare. In this article, seven stub concrete-filled steel tubular columns with square section were tested under both static and impact loads, using a large-capacity drop-weight testing machine. The research parameters were variable height of the drop-weight and different load types. The experimental results show that the failure modes of the concrete-filled steel tube columns from the impact tests are similar with those under static load, characterized by the local buckling of the steel tube. The time history curves of impact force and steel strain were investigated. The results indicate that with increasing impact energy, the concrete-filled steel tube stub columns had a stronger impact-resistant behavior. The dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA was employed to simulate the impact behaviors of the concrete-filled steel tube specimens, and the finite element results were reasonable compared with the test results. The parameter analysis on the impact behavior of concrete-filled steel tube columns was performed using the finite element model as well. A simple method was proposed to calculate the impact strength of square concrete-filled steel tube columns and compared favorably with experimental results.
