In this paper,  a Sokol-Howell prey-predator model involving strong Allee effect is proposed and analyzed. The existence, uniqueness, and boundedness are studied. All the five possible equilibria have been are obtained and their local stability conditions are established. Using Sotomayor's theorem, the conditions of local saddle-node and transcritical and pitchfork bifurcation are derived and drawn. Numerical simulations are performed to clarify the analytical results

In this paper, we consider an SI epidemic model incorporating additive Allee effect and time delay. The primary purpose of this paper is to study the dynamics of the above system. Firstly, for the model without time delay, we demonstrate the existence and stability of equilibria for three different cases, i.e. with weak Allee effect, with strong Allee effect, and in the critical case. We also investigate the existence and uniqueness of Hopf bifurcation and limit cycle. Secondly, for the model with time delay, the stability of equilibria and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are discussed. All the above show that both additive Allee effect and time delay have vital effects on the prevalence of the disease.

In this paper, we investigate the spatiotemporal dynamics of a Leslie–Gower predator–prey model incorporating a prey refuge subject to the Neumann boundary conditions. We mainly consider Hopf bifurcation and steady-state bifurcation which bifurcate from the constant positive steady-state of the model. In the case of Hopf bifurcation, by the center manifold theory and the normal form method, we establish the bifurcation direction and stability of bifurcating periodic solutions; in the case of steady-state bifurcation, by the local and global bifurcation theories, we prove the existence of the steady-state bifurcation, and find that there are two typical bifurcations, Turing bifurcation and Turing–Hopf bifurcation. Via numerical simulations, we find that the model exhibits not only stationary Turing pattern induced by diffusion which is dependent on space and independent of time, but also temporal periodic pattern induced by Hopf bifurcation which is dependent on time and independent of space, and spatiotemporal pattern induced by Turing–Hopf bifurcation which is dependent on both time and space. These results may enrich the pattern formation in the predator–prey model.

AbstractIn this paper, we propose and investigate a prey–predator model with Holling type II response function incorporating Allee and fear effect in the prey. First of all, we obtain all possible equilibria of the model and discuss their stability by analyzing the eigenvalues of Jacobian matrix around the equilibria. Secondly, it can be observed that the model undergoes Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium by taking the level of fear as bifurcation parameter. Moreover, through the analysis of Allee and fear effect, we find that: (i) the fear effect can enhance the stability of the positive equilibrium of the system by excluding periodic solutions; (ii) increasing the level of fear and Allee can reduce the final number of predators; (iii) the Allee effect also has important influence on the permanence of the predator. Finally, numerical simulations are provided to check the validity of the theoretical results.

In this work we have considered a prey–predator model with strong Allee effect in the prey growth function, Holling type-II functional response and density dependent death rate for predators. It presents a comprehensive study of the complete global dynamics for the considered system. Especially to see the effect of the density dependent death rate of predator on the system behavior, we have presented the two parametric bifurcation diagrams taking it as one of the bifurcation parameters. In course of that we have explored all possible local and global bifurcations that the system could undergo, namely the existence of transcritical bifurcation, saddle node bifurcation, cusp bifurcation, Hopf-bifurcation, Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation and Bautin bifurcation respectively.

A differential-algebraic prey–predator model with time delay and Allee effect on the growth of the prey population is investigated. Using differential-algebraic system theory, we transform the prey–predator model into its normal form and study its dynamics in terms of local analysis and Hopf bifurcation. By analyzing the associated characteristic equation, it is observed that the model undergoes a Hopf bifurcation at some critical value of time delay. In particular, we study the direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of bifurcated periodic solutions, and an explicit algorithm is given by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction for functional differential equations. Finally, numerical simulations supporting the theoretical analysis are also included.

In this paper, we consider a diffusive predator–prey system with strong Allee effect and two delays. First, we explore the stability region of the positive constant steady state by calculating the stability switching curves. Then we derive the Hopf and double Hopf bifurcation theorem via the crossing directions of the stability switching curves. Moreover, we calculate the normal forms near the double Hopf singularities by taking two delays as parameters. We carry out some numerical simulations for illustrating the theoretical results. Both theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the system near double Hopf singularity has rich dynamics, including stable spatially homogeneous and inhomogeneous periodic solutions. Finally, we evaluate the influence of two parameters on the existence of double Hopf bifurcation.
