We prove the existence of radial solutions of concentrating on a sphere for potentials which might be zero and might decay to zero at infinity. The proofs use a perturbation technique in a variational setting, through a Lyapunov–Schmidt reduction.

In this paper we deal with the following class of nonlinear Schrödinger equations − Δ u + V ( | x | ) u = λ Q ( | x | ) f ( u ) , x ∈ R 2 , where λ > 0 is a real parameter, the potential V and the weight Q are radial, which can be singular at the origin, unbounded or decaying at infinity and the nonlinearity f ( s ) behaves like e α s 2 at infinity. By performing a variational approach based on a weighted Trudinger–Moser type inequality proved here, we obtain some existence and multiplicity results.

This result considerably improves those of previous papers because we do not require that a(x) has radial symmetry, or that $$N=2$$ N = 2 , or that $$|a(x)-a_\infty |$$ | a ( x ) - a ∞ | is uniformly small in $${\mathbb {R}}^N$$ R N , etc. ....

The Given

In this paper, by using the gauge transformation and the Lax pairs, the N-fold Darboux transformation (DT) of the classical three-component nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations is given. In addition, by taking seed solutions and using the DT, exact solutions for the given NLS equations are constructed.
