One of the tools that indicate the relationship between concepts is the volume of concept. Volume of concept is displayed that the relations between the concepts of the subject are exhibited in a meaningful harmonious and circular manner in a certain order. The purpose of this research; to be able to determine the usefulness volume of concept, from association tools of concept, in educational process. A mixed method was used in this study. Frequency and percentage values were calculated using comparative samples in the quantitative aspect of the study. In the qualitative aspect of work was used structured interview form, face to face interviews which were identified to code-categories and analyzed the data. As a result of the work, students had difficulty in drawing the volume of concept but they had expressed that the volume of concept was clearer. Moreover, it was determined that the rate of preference volume of concept during the exam was low. It can be said that use of the ready-made form of the volume of concept was increases although a small proportion of students prefer concept volume when presented in the same way with another tools. Various suggestions have been made as a result of the research.

This book reimagines medical education and reconstructs its design. It originates from a reappraisal of the goals of medicine and the nature of the relationship between doctor and patient. The educational blueprint outlined is called the “Physicianship Curriculum” and rests on two linchpins. First is a new definition of sickness: Patients know themselves to be ill when they cannot pursue their purposes and goals in life because of impairments in functioning. This perspective represents a bulwark against medical attention shifting from patients to diseases. The curriculum teaches about patients as functional persons, from their anatomy to their social selves, starting in the first days of the educational program and continuing throughout. Their teaching also rests on the rock-solid grounding of medicine in the sciences and scientific understandings of disease and function. The illness definition and knowledge base together create a foundation for authentic patient-centeredness. Second, the training of physicians depends on and culminates in development of a unique professional identity. This is grounded in the historical evolution of the profession, reaching back to Hippocrates. It leads to reformulation of the educational process as clinical apprenticeships and moral mentorships. “Rebirth” in the title suggests that critical ingredients of medical education have previously been articulated. The book argues that the apprenticeship model, as experienced, enriched, taught, and exemplified by William Osler, constitutes a time-honored foundation. Osler’s “natural method of teaching the subject of medicine” is a precursor to the Physicianship Curriculum.

The relevance of this article is due to the need to study the gender specifics of the relationship between the manifestations of subjectivity (mental states, procedural and effective parameters of the situation) with the basic psychological need for autonomy to apply the data obtained in the practice of psychological and pedagogical support of the educational process at the university. The goal of the empirical research was to determine the gender common and peculiar in the manifestations of subjectivity, depending on the degree of autonomy of the subject of activity. The main hypothesis was the assumption that there are differences in the manifestations of subjectivity in situations with different levels of autonomy among respondents of different genders. The sample consisted of 112 people (56 men and 56 women). The age of men was from 22 to 42 years (M=25, SD=3,5 years). The age of women was from 22 to 45 years (M=24, SD=2,8 years). The respondents - advanced students (n=112) in the form of a free essay described the situations of extrinsic and internal motivation when studying at the university and compared them with each other by any possible criteria. For data processing, the methods of content analysis, frequency analysis of text and the Fisher angular transformation criterion were used. Statistically significant differences in the emotional and intellectual-emotional manifestations of states in subjects of different sexes were revealed. In situations of autonomy, women more often experienced states of joy, interest and passion (p≤0,05), and men experienced pleasure (p≤0,01). The state of relief in situations of non-autonomy was more common for women than for men (p≤0,01). Differences in the frequency of mention of procedural and effective parameters of situations in respondents of different sexes were not found. The results of the study can be used in the development of programs for the adaptation of future specialists to changes in the labor market conditions.

Abstract This paper examines the history of boundary crossing and boundary preservation between Jews and Christians in the eighteenth century via an unorthodox path. Two men, a Swedish Lutheran natural philosopher and a charismatic Polish Rabbi, give their accounts of ascents to the heavens, both in the 1740s. The lives of Emanuel Swedenborg and the Baal Shem Tov did not intersect, but their otherworldly experiences tell related stories of strife between Jews and Christians while betraying something of a shared horizon concerning the future of their religious communities, and concerning sacred texts and their interpretation. Using a phenomenological framework informed by Emmanuel Levinas, and with theories of experience articulated by Steven Katz and Martin Jay at hand, this paper understands these accounts as articulations of relationship: not just the relationship between the subject and God, scripture, or the heavens, but articulations of the fraught relationship with the religious other in the earthly, human realm. By placing Swedenborg and the Besht, as it were, face to face, this paper emphasizes the presence of the religious other in their experiences, even in their private encounters with the Divine, and even though the intersubjectivity these experiences expose is characterized by difference, difficulty, and asymmetry.

At the onset of the crisis caused by COVID-19, the Mexican education system chose to join the global context and suspend face-to-face classes for all educational levels. For the continuity of educational processes, a transition from a traditional educational model (face-to-face) to emergency remote teaching (ERT) was made through virtual learning platforms and learning management system (LMS) schemes. Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM), in a collaboration agreement with Microsoft Co., chose to use Teams to continue its educational process. In this work, we intend to identify the factors that can be taken into account regarding the level of student satisfaction in the teaching–learning process in ERT using Teams, and validate the established educational strategy. Statistical analysis was carried out to analyze the academic environment for these scenario changes while considering knowledge assessment, and competencies achievement. A combined sampling method was applied with convenience and statistical analysis. The main results established significant percentages, where more than 60% of the students surveyed were manifested in the use of the teams and the organization of the class sessions by the teachers, and the activities developed. Using the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, the reliability of the data collection instruments was determined. The correlations of each of the survey questions were calculated to determine the relationship between themselves and the total answers, giving results similar to those obtained through data science tools. Taking advantage of the situation, data science tools were applied to compare the results with obtained values from RapidMiner software in the correlation of factors in of 0.440, 0.384, 0.246, 0.048 and 0.384.

Item analysis is an effective method for assessing not only the test but can also revel important issues of the whole educational process from curriculum design, implementation, assessment and evaluation. The method is suitable for MCQ type questions. After checking the reliability of the test, each question, item, is assessed using the criteria of Facility Value (FV) which represents the ratio of correct answers of each item and the discrimination index (DI) which takes into account the number of students in the upper quartile and that in lower quartile who answered the item correctly. An unacceptable question falls beyond the educationally acceptable limits of, 0.15 < FV < 0.85 and DI > 0.1. Unacceptable questions were identified and used to assess the teaching process of this subject material and as indicators of lecturers' performance, from the number of unacceptable questions and the average of FV and DI. The smaller the number of unacceptable questions, the better the teaching process of the subject material under study and the higher the performance of the lecture will be. Method: Random (using six-sided die) and systematic (cumulatively adding the quotient of population to sample size) sampling methods were used and the reliability of the MCQ part of the test as well essay type was checked and found to be satisfactory with R2 > 0.7 (the closer to unity the stronger the relationship and the higher the reliability). Results: For the subject material understudy, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, for lecturer A, the first 13, items out of the 25 MCQ questions tested were found to satisfy the conditions set for FV and DI of acceptable questions. Conclusion: Acceptable items were identified and rated for further improvement in the stem or the distractors especially those near the border limits. For further improvement, item distractors need to be analyzed in detail. This method is effective in quantitatively rating lecturers' abilities in setting effective questions in relation to teaching objectives, the smaller the number of unacceptable items the better the performance of the lecturer. Unacceptable questions can be excluded or subject to future revision.

In education, it is essential to ensure that the relationship established between pupils and education or learning itself is positive. A teacher should help pupils while building their inner knowledge system and ensure that this process is conducted without coercion but with interest and a positive attitude. The subject of the research are mental maps and their impact on attitudes of primary school pupils to “learning”. In the research investigation, a questionnaire with 11 items was used and the respondents were primary school pupils who regularly work with mental maps in the educational process, and pupils who do not work with mental maps regularly. The results of the survey point out the disparities in attitudes to “learning”. 85% of surveyed pupils who regularly use mental maps indicated that they learn faster and better, they also stated that learning in school is fun, whereas only 55% of pupils in the second group who do not work with mental maps regularly share this opinion. Based on creating a mental map, pupils become active participants in the educational process and create knowledge structures without repeated explanation. Pupils’ activity using mental maps in the educational process seems to be the first efficient step towards better learning and a more positive attitude to this process.

The main characteristics to a locus of control phenomenon in educational activity where the locus of control is analysed as the predominating position at decision-making and regulations of the activity are presented in the article. Accepting liability for events in life gives the chance to the subject of training to coordinate not only educational activity, but also the others as, for example, the sphere of interpersonal communication and so on. Interrelations of a locus of control and reflexivity at students of the sociological direction are revealed. The direct interrelation between the general internality and a system reflection and also the return interrelation between internality in the sphere of the interpersonal relations and an introspektion is established. The locus of control is characterised as accepting liability which in turn allows the subject of educational process to apply the efforts and to work according to the purposes.

The data were collected using the semi-structured interview and the results showed that teleconferencing could be a strong complementary tool to support flexible learning as well as distance education, by enhancing the interaction among learners. All the interviewees consider teleconference as a "helpful assistant" in the educational process and suggested that the educators should be well prepared before the tele-lecture, as well as prepare and guide the learners in order to conduct a smooth teleconferencing session. From the interviews, several advantages and disadvantages of the teleconference&rsquo;s use as an educational tool emerged. The main advantages consist of the independence of space and time while conducting learning sessions, the easy access to and sharing of educational content, the interaction between educator and learners as well as among the learners and the reduced transportations along with time saving. On the other hand, some important disadvantages refer to the participants being unfamiliar with technology, lack of technological support, limited network resources causing disconnections and adding stress to participants, the uncertainty of the participants regarding the effectiveness of teleconference in education and the lack of face-to-face communication.</span></p>
