Purpose: The objective of this research was to implement new inventory management in a footwear company through the analysis of indicators obtained from inventory data collection.Design/methodology/approach: The methods of ABC analysis, demand forecasting, safety stock, reorder point and economic order quantity were applied. The items in inventory were classified by order of financial importance through ABC analysis, and the proposed indicators were analyzed to determine the moment the inventory replenishment should be carried out as well as the purchase lot size for each item. The research also analyzed the behavior of the demand and pointed out the demand forecasting method that came closest to reality.Findings: The study presents a method of implementing inventory management based on indicators derived from the application of ABC curve methods, demand forecasting, safety stock, re-fulfillment point, and economic purchased lot. It also indicates how the ABC classification of stocks can be used to check the most representative materials in stock. The study also highlights that the rejection of modifications can be surpassed by obtaining favorable results.Research limitations/implications: The inventory management applied in this work is based on indicators that resulted in two main data which were able to define the size of the purchase lot to be ordered and the amount of material needed.Practical implications: The methods of ABC analysis, demand forecasting, safety stock, reorder point and economic order quantity were applied. The items in inventory were classified by order of financial importance through ABC analysis, and the proposed indicators were analyzed to determine the moment the inventory replenishment should be carried out as well as the purchase lot size for each item. This research was conducted at one of the motorcycle dealers in Indonesia. Besides selling motorcycles, this dealer also provides services to repair motorcycles and sells genuine motorcycle parts. Inventory management which the company carried out is still not good enough because there are still demand for spare parts from consumers that cannot be fulfilled by the company. The purpose of this study is to draw up a plan to control spare parts by paying attention to the spare parts that need to be considered, estimating the exact number of spare parts demand, knowing the smallest total inventory cost, knowing the amount of safety stock needed, and knowing when to reorder. In preparing the spare parts control, the methods used are ABC analysis, demand forecasting method, and EOQ method. The results of this study are plans to control the inventory of Tire, Rr. such as the forecasting sales of Tire, Rr. as many as 17338, economic order quantity of Tire Rr are 2158 units, the number of safety stocks of Tire, Rr. needed in 2020 are 1738 units, and the reorder point in 2020 is 8 times with the total inventory cost for Tire, Rr. in 2020 is Rp. 30,009,005.

ABSTRACTThe aim of the research was to compare the inventory control system in D’Baloy Food Industries MSMEs and the optimal control of onion dayak stock to production dayak onion tea by the method of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Descriptive analysis to describe the control system of dayak onion stock in D'baloy Food Industries MSMEs. EOQ methods to analyze optimum order quantities and calculate the optimum frequency of purchases. Safety stock analysis and Reorder point analysis are also carried out. The results showed  the management of raw material inventories in UKM D’baloy Food Industries was not optimal. The current cost of raw material inventory is Rp.752.000 in a year, inventory costs using the EOQ method is Rp.463.448. If applying the optimum inventory, then the cost of dayak onion material stock that can be saved by D’baloy Food Industries MSMEs is Rp.288.552. The cost savings are achieved if the quantity of each message is increased from 10 kg to 29 kg. The frequency of purchases decreased from 96 times a year to 33 times. To avoid the problem of uncertainty in demand and price of raw materials, the safety stock that D'Baloy must provide is 30 kg. The raw material is re-ordered when the stock of dayak onions 38.01 kg. The maximum inventory that must be available before reorder 59 kg. Inventory management using the EOQ method places more emphasis on the availability of safety stock with the reason to overcome the problem of uncertainty in demand and fluctuations in raw material prices.Keywords :  Dayak Onion, Economic Order Quantity, InventoryABSTRAKUKM D’Baloy Food Industries belum menerapkan manajemen persediaan bahan baku bawang dayak secara optimal karena bahan baku yang tersedia di perusahaan masih kurang. Kekurangan bahan baku akan menghambat produksi the bawang dayak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan manajemen persediaan di UKM D’Baloy Food Industries bawang dayak untuk produksi teh bawang dayak dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Analisis deskriptif untuk menggambarkan manajemen persediaan dayak di UKM D’Baloy Food Industries. Metode EOQ digunakan untuk menganalisis jumlah pesanan optimal dan menghitung frekuensi pembelian optimal. Perhitungan safety stock dan Reorder point juga dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persediaan bahan baku bawang dayak di UKM D’Baloy Food Industries belum optimal. Biaya persediaan bahan baku saat ini adalah Rp.752.000 dalam setahun, sedangkan biaya persediaan menggunakan metode EOQ adalah Rp.463.448. Jika menggunakan persediaan optimal, maka biaya persediaan bahan bawang dayak yang dapat dihemat oleh D’Baloy Food Industries adalah Rp.288.552. Penghematan biaya dapat jika jumlah setiap pesan ditingkatkan dari 10 kg menjadi 29 kg. Frekuensi pembelian diturunkan dari 96 kali setahun menjadi 33 kali. Untuk menghindari masalah ketidakpastian dalam permintaan dan harga bahan baku, stok pengaman (safety stock) yang harus disediakan D'Baloy adalah 30 kg. Bahan baku dipesan ulang saat stok bawang dayak 38,01 kg. Persediaan maksimum yang harus tersedia sebelum memesan ulang 59 kg. Manajemen persediaan menggunakan metode EOQ lebih menekankan pada ketersediaan stok pengaman dengan alasan untuk mengatasi masalah ketidakpastian dalam permintaan dan fluktuasi harga bahan baku.Kata kunci: bawang dayak, metode Economic Order Quantity, persediaan

The purpose of the implementation of this research is to find the effectiveness of supplies raw materials, the method of analysis data used in the square is the smallest trend for planning raw materials and controling supplies use method of economic order quantity (EOQ) analyze reorder point. Analysis reorder point and safety stock. And analyzes efficiency cost of raw materials. Forecasting raw materials years 20x7 according to the smallest trend, cloth and dakron happened the difference is greater than of the target needed (according to a company); controling supplies raw materials with the methods eoq in 20x7 more effective than reservations raw materials cloth and dakron and more efficient than cost raw materials. The company should review the policy of forecasting raw material supplies that had been undertaken and make planning supplies the raw material that more accurate using the firm’s historical data and not only targeting the output production next year, so that machines production can be optimized. Considering the use of control supplies with the methods economic order quantity to companies, so this analysis can determine material reservations, supplies safety, maximum supplies to avoid the risk of running out of raw materials, because the companies often happened less dressed up a result of reservations that time is inaccurate, the lack of safety stock and the deferred the delivery of goods which often disturb the production process, by this method can prevent these things, so that the production process can run smoothly and minimize the cost of raw materials supplies.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemesanan bahan baku madu optimal, menganalisis pengaruh biaya pemesanan, biaya penyimpanan, jumlah pemakaian dan waktu tunggu terhadap persediaan bahan baku madu, menganalisis trend kebutuhan bahan baku madu bulan Juli sampai dengan Desember 2018, menganalisis persediaan pengaman (safety stock) bahan baku madu, menganalisis titik pemesanan ulang (reorder point) bahan baku madu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan metode pelaksanaan penelitian yaitu studi kasus. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis model EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), analisis regresi linier berganda, analisis trend, analisis safety stock dan analisis reorder point. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemesanan bahan baku madu yang optimal sebesar 6.524 kg/pesanan dengan frekuensi 17 kali pemesanan. Faktor biaya penyimpanan dan jumlah pemakaian mempengaruhi persediaan bahan baku sedangkan faktor biaya pemesanan dan waktu tunggu tidak mempengaruhi persediaan bahan baku di PT. Aksamala Adi Andana. Trend kebutuhan bahan baku madu di PT. Aksamala Adi Andana pada Bulan Juli sampai dengan Desember 2018 cenderung meningkat. Persediaan pengaman (safety stock) bahan baku madu yang harus tersedia di PT. Aksamala Adi Andana yaitu sebesar 766 kg. Reorder point bahan baku madu di PT. Aksamala Adi Andana sebesar 2.915 kg.

The study aims to test the effectiveness of the implementation of several inventory control methods to improve the smooth operation in a trading company of industrial equipements components that have difficulty in maintaining inventory data accuracy, inventory shortages and in other hand excess unrequired inventory. The research data used is taken from the ERP report data and manual reports created by the perpetrators of the operational activities of the Inventory Control for the period 2016 - 2018. The sampling method used is purposive sampling of the product sales data in years 2016 – 2018  as much as 2498  Stock  Keeping Unit (SKU) which is then  processed using the method of ABC analysis and  FSN (Fast Moving, Slow Moving and None Moving) analysis to get  10  SKUs that belongs to the category A and  F (Fast Moving) group as a sample of research. The research method uses the Quantitative method with the use of ABC analysis, Forecasting and Economic Order Quantity. The results shows that the implementation of ABC analysis effectively reduced the workload of periodic counting and is able to improve data accuracy to be higher level. The exponential smoothing forecast method shows the least gap to the actual value and EOQ effectively optimizes ordering and holding costs and reduces the risk of failure in Inventory Control and positively affects the smoothness of the operation process.

Persediaan merupakan aset perusahaan yang memiliki peran penting dalam operasi bisnis, sehingga perusahaan penting untuk melakukan manajemen persediaan yang baik, artinya perusahaan harus mampu mengantisipasi kendala maupun tantangan yang ada dalam pengelolahan persediaan untuk meminimalisasi total biaya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan. Permasalahan yang timbul pada persediaan bahan baku di PT XYZ adalah perusahaan melakukan perencanaan dan pengendalian bahan baku hanya berdasarkan pada pengalaman-pengalaman sebelumnya dan tidak berdasarkan pada metode yang sudah baku. Oleh karena itu pembelian bahan baku tidak sesuai dengan permintaan konsumen. Hal tersebut sering menyebabkan terjadinya kelebihan maupun kekurangan stok bahan baku. Kesalahan dalam penentuan besarnya investasi dalam persediaan akan mengurangi keuntungan perusahaan. Adanya persediaan bahan baku yang terlalu besar, akan menambah beban biaya pemeliharaan dan penyimpanan dalam gudang, serta kemungkinan terjadinya penurunan kualitas bahan baku yang dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya keuntungan perusahaan. Namun jika persediaan bahan baku terlalu sedikit maka akan berakibat pada terhambatnya proses produksi, sehingga tidak terpenuhinya permintaan konsumen. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menyimpulkan bahwa perencanaan kebutuhan bahan baku dengan metode perusahaan didapatkan total cost sebesar Rp 1.796.762.429,-, sedangkan metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) didapatkan total cost sebesar Rp 1.576.011.801,-. Maka dapat disimpulkan telah terjadi penurunan total cost seluruh bahan baku sebesar 12,28%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) lebih efisien daripada metode PT. XYZ. Oleh karena itu untuk mendapatkan total cost yang minimum, metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) diterapkan pada periode Februari-Juni 2020 sehingga didapatkan total cost sebesar Rp 1.576.011.801,-. ABSTRACT                     Inventory is a company asset that has an important role in business operations, so the company is important to conduct good inventory management, meaning that the company must be able to anticipate obstacles and challenges that exist in managing inventory to minimize the total cost to be incurred by the company.The problem that arises in the supply of raw materials in PT XYZ is that the company plans and controls raw materials based only on previous experiences and not based on established methods. Therefore, the purchase of raw materials is not in accordance with consumer demand. This often leads to excess or shortage of raw material stock. Mistakes in determining the amount of investment in inventories will reduce company profits. The availability of raw materials that are too large, will add to the burden of maintenance and storage costs in the warehouse, as well as the possibility of a decline in the quality of raw materials that can lead to reduced company profits. However, if the supply of raw materials is too little, it will result in obstruction of the production process, so that consumer demand is not fulfilled. The results of this study can conclude that the planning of raw material needs by the company method obtained a total cost of Rp 1,796,762,429, - while the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) method obtained a total cost of Rp 1,576,011,801, -. Then it can be concluded that there has been a decrease in the total cost of all raw materials by 12.28%. This proves that the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) method is more efficient than the PT. XYZ. <em>Salah satu permasalahan dalam system produksi adalah melakukan pengendalikan persediaan bahan baku dengan menentukan berapa jumlah pemesanan dengan biaya minimum, berapa stock pengaman, berapa kali memesan kembali dan biaya persediaan tiap bahan baku support perperiode, agar supaya produksi pembuatan produk berjalan dengan baik dan lancer. Oleh karena itu perusahaan PT Wijaya Metalindo Work dalam melaksanakan pengaturan bahan baku proses manufacktur adalah dengan menggunakan metode pengendalian persediaan dengan metode Economic Orde Quantity (EOQ). Karena dalam metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) ini lebih baik dan efisien, sehingga memudahkan perusahaan untuk mengetahui dan menentukan pengaturan persediaan bahan baku support produksi. Dari data perusahaan yang diambil kemudian dianalisa dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) ini, maka perusahaan dapat menentukan/menetapkan jumlah pemesanan dengan biaya minimum, stock pengaman (safety stock), pemesanan kembali (Re Order Point) dan biaya persediaan tiap bahanb baku support per periode</em>.
