The increasing complexity of supply chains, whose structure is changing from a linear to network form creates the need to track a growing amount of information allowing the evaluation of the functioning of the entire supply chain. Developing a system for measuring the performance of the supply chain requires the proper selection of indicators. Performance measurement should be done in a particular context, the analysed dimensions of indicators resulting from the purpose and focus of the survey should be determined. The article reviews Polish and foreign literature in terms of the proposed framework and methods for measuring the performance of the supply chain and the indicated categories (dimensions) of indicators. The authors approach the subject of evaluation of the performance of the supply chain in very different ways. Indicators are divided according to the level of the decision-making process: strategic, tactical, and operational. They are also divided into cost and non-cost or financial and non-financial ones. There are also approaches using the already well established methods and models. An example of this is the selection of perspectives according to the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and the SCOR model.

Abstract: This article analyzes the performance of the modular consortium installed in the truck and bus factory of Volkswagen in the city of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, in its first 20 years of operation. For that purpose we formulated a multidimensional performance analysis model, composed of indicators of the various aspects of the company and the main economic and market factors, covering the period 1990-2014. The model was based on aspects of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Political, Economic, Sociocultural, Technological, Environmental and Legal (PESTEL) models. While the BSC guided the choice of the internal performance indicators, the PESTEL oriented the selection of the economic factors that affected the company’s performance. The main characteristics of modular consortiums, taken from the scientific literature, were used to analyze the arrangement’s performance, along with on-site observation at the plant. The results were obtained by examining the company’s indicators during the period studied, taking into consideration the influence of historical factors and the main aspects of modular consortiums. The Volkswagen modular consortium was in general resilient to the economic variations in the period, and facilitated expansion of the company’s product portfolio, contributing to leadership in the truck market.

One important factor in influencing the progress and decline of an industry is the performance factor. Performance issues are not only important for middle-to-upper-level companies and large companies, but also important for small and medium industries such as the batik craft industry in the Wukirsari region, Bantul. Given the importance of performance, researchers tried to design a performance measurement model of the batik craft industry in the Wukirsari region, Bantul with the aim of identifying performance criteria, determining performance indicators, formulating performance indicators, and making performance measurement instruments. The steps in this study are divided into four phases, namely the initial research phase and problem formulation, the design phase, the analysis phase and the conclusion phase. The initial research phase and problem formulation include, the profile of the batik craft industry in the Wukirsari region, Bantul, the current performance evaluation system, problem formulation and research objectives. The design phase includes the design process of the performance measurement model with the Balanced Scorecard method which includes setting strategic objectives, establishing performance indicators (key performance indicators), determining performance indicator formulas, making performance measurement instruments. Analysis phase includes KPI analysis and strategy map analysis. Conclusion phase includes conclusions from the results of research and suggestions for the batik craft industry in Wukirsari, Bantul. From the results of the study obtained four performance perspectives based on the balanced scorecard, namely financial, customer, internal business processes, learning and growth. five, namely: increased sales growth, high customer satisfaction, improved system and better work processes, the creation of a good work climate, and increased employee productivity. There are seven performance indicators formed, namely: the rate of sales growth, the level of customer satisfaction, level of compliance with customer complaints, percentage of defective products, number of new products, level of job satisfaction, and employee productivity. The establishment of a performance measurement worksheet, so that the performance values of each performance indicator and total performance can be known in a certain period. Keywords: Performance, Measurement, Batik

Jasa Tirta I Public Company is a state-owned company engaged in the management of water resources. The quality of the performance of an organization can be known by measuring the performance of the achievement of performance indicators. Comprehensive planning of performance indicators is needed. This study aims to determine the performance measurement of Perum Jasa Tirta I by the Balanced Scorecard method and then analyzed by the PDCGA (Plan-Do-Check-Goal-Action) method for continuous improvement to improve company performance. The research method used in this study uses a mixed-method approach. The results showed that the measurement of public performance based on the Balanced Scorecard Perum Jasa Tirta I 2015-2019 method is divided into 4 approaches: financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective, and learning & growth perspective including good performance. Judging from the financial perspective it is included in the very good category. From the customer perspective, it is included in the excellent category. From the internal business perspective it is classified as quite good, Electricity Raw Water Service indicators reached 93% of the 100% target and environmental management achieved 97% of the 100% target. From the perspective of learning & growth in the excellent category.

With the development of big data analysis, blockchain and other technologies, the supply chain of enterprises is transforming to lean and intelligent. As an important link in the enterprise supply chain, the intelligent transformation of procurement plays an important role in the improvement of the supply chain efficiency, therefore, the construction of a common method supporting the intelligent upgrade of the enterprise procurement business has become a key concern for enterprise managers. Based on the balanced scorecard theory and the supply chain maturity model, this study combines the actual situation of procurement management in Chinese energy enterprises and constructs a procurement benchmarking system that balances the development direction of the industry and the actual needs of enterprises. Meanwhile, based on the grounded theory, three major themes of the intelligent procurement system (digital business module, procurement synergy mechanism and procurement ecosystem) are extracted to provide a methodological reference for the construction of intelligent procurement systems of energy enterprises. The study concludes with a case study of China National Energy Group Materials Company to demonstrate the application of the intelligent procurement system built in this paper, with a view to providing methodological reference for the intelligent procurement management in energy enterprises.

Why are some firms more successful than others? This question has been intensely debated by strategic management researchers over the last 30 years. Competitive advantage is recognized as being the major cause for explaining top organizational performance and is a fundamental goal of academic strategic management studies. Recently, there has been an increasing amount of empirical research on the subject of competitive advantage and about distinguishing competitive advantage from organizational performance. The relevance of competitive advantage is not simply determined by external factors, but also by those internal sources that have been considered critical for successful organizations.

The authors describe how organizations can leverage the maturity model approach in conjunction with foundational concepts of perspective-based performance evaluation models like the balanced scorecard (BSC) to define a comprehensive performance measurement framework. A maturity model by design provides a road-map to the next level of performance. In this chapter, the authors propose using maturity models as a structured way of identifying current capability or maturity level of any supply chain. The authors provide guidance on selecting the right “causal linkages” between supply chain objectives and performance measures. They then define a mechanism for specifying even more granular definitions of measures linked to strategic objectives, as the level of maturity progresses. In this chapter, the authors survey widely used supply chain/business process maturity models and current practices related to measuring operational metric. And then present a tiered framework for operational metric alignment and KPI governance based on perspective-based modeling design principles.

The pandemic has an impact on almost all sectors of people's lives, in the economic, political, and socio-cultural sectors. The government has implemented large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) as an effort to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. With the PSBB, it causes disruption to the hospital supply chain management. As a step to anticipate the hospital's impact on the PSBB, the hospital needs to evaluate the performance of supply chain management. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the performance evaluation of hospital supply chain management using a balanced scorecard approach. A new finding from this study is to measure the performance of hospitals experiencing various disruptions in their supply chain management caused by the COVID-19 pandemic with a balanced scorecard. The author concludes that measurements with the balanced scorecard approach can provide information about the performance of hospital supply chain management broadly in areas experiencing disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
