Through a series of mechanical properties experiment of recycled asphalt mixture composed of waste asphalt mixture 20% and different content of rubber powder, the paper analyzes and compares the elasticity, tensile strength and bending strength of asphalt mixture and recycled asphalt mixture, concluding that recycled asphalt mixture that mixed with crumb rubber content of 20% can completely replace the new asphalt mixture in the application. It has great significance for the future to recycling waste asphalt mixture in the highway.

Secondary raw materials consist of production waste or material resulting from recycling processes, currently in large quantities, which can be injected back into the economic system as new raw materials. This study proposes jet grouting waste (JGW) as filler for hot and cold asphalt mixtures applied as base layers of road pavements and investigates the physical and mechanical properties. JGW is derived from soil consolidation performed during underground roadway tunnel construction. The research compares three asphalt mixtures: (a) hot mixture containing limestone aggregate-filler (HMA), (b) HMA containing JGW (HMAJ), (c) cold recycled asphalt mixture containing JGW (CRAJ). Leaching tests of JGW and reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) were conducted; the best configurations of the three mixtures were determined by using the volumetric method through gyratory compaction. Three mastics with filler-to-binder ratios reflecting those of the asphalt mixtures were investigated through delta ring and ball test and frequency sweep test at 0.05% stress by using a dynamic shear rheometer. The morphology of each mixture was further investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that CRAJ with 28 days of curing time reached the indirect tensile strength (ITS) of HMA (0.73 MPa) within 14 days and, among all studied mixtures, returned the lowest cumulative strain, which was on average 30% lower than that of HMA and HMAJ. The results of this study have shown that the cold alternative mixture, CRAJ, promotes the reuse of two types of waste, RAP and JGW, as it fully meets the reference Italian Technical Standard and ensures good mixture performance in addition to conserving natural resources.

In order to study the effect of different rock asphalt contents on the physical and mechanical properties of an asphalt binder and asphalt mixture, the physical and mechanical tests and analysis were conducted. An on-site case was investigated to verify the effectiveness of rock asphalt-modified pavement. The results show that the activation treatment can effectively enhance the molecular polarity of Buton rock asphalt. The “wet process” was used to prepare the Buton rock asphalt-modified asphalt binder, and the high-temperature performance and aging resistance were significantly improved. The modified asphalt prepared by mixing 30% rock asphalt shows the optimum balance between service performance and segregation. The on-site full-scale application of the Buton rock asphalt-modified asphalt pavement showed the good workability and service performance. This research demonstrated the ability of rock asphalt improving asphalt pavement on multiscales. It is helpful for the broader application of rock asphalt in asphalt pavement.

In order to evaluate the pavement performance of recycled asphalt mixture processed by microwave, an experimental method was designed to compare the microwave heating with the conventional heating in recycling affection of asphalt mixture. The samples AC-13 were produced. Conventional and microwave heating performance of modified asphalt recycling test including the rutting test, the trabecular cold bending test, the Marshall immersion test, the freeze-thaw split test, and the splitting strength mechanical properties were test. The experimental results show that it is roughly the same in the high temperature stability and mechanical properties of these two areas, and at low temperature cracking resistance the use of microwave processing can improve the low temperature flexibility to reduce the surface temperature seasonal prone temperature shrinkage cracks and fatigue cracks. The stability on the water by using microwave processing can enhance the asphalt and aggregate adhesion so that mixture enhanced resistance to water damage, there is a better role in improving the water stability. These results could promote microwave recycling and provide the basis for the promotion applications.

Timber Acacia mangium (Acacia mangium, Willd) for Furniture. The study aims to determine the mechanical and physical properties and the decorative value (color and fiber) wood of acacia mangium with using finishing materials. This type of finishing material used is ultran lasur natural dof ,ultran lasur classic teak, aqua politur clear dof, aqua politur akasia dan aqua politur cherry. After finishing the wood is stored for 3 months. Test parameters were observed, namely, physical and mechanical properties of wood, adhesion of finishing materials, color and appearance of the fiber, and timber dimensions expansion. The results showed that the mechanical physical properties of acacia wood qualified SNI. 01-0608-89 about the physical and mechanical properties of wood for furniture, air dry the moisture content from 13.78 to 14.89%, flexural strength from 509.25 to 680.50 kg/cm2, and compressive strength parallel to fiber 342.1 - 412.9 kg/cm2. Finishing the treatment process using five types of finishing materials can increase the decorative value (color and fiber) wood. Before finishing the process of acacia mangium wood has the appearance of colors and fibers and less attractive (scale scores 2-3), after finishing acacia wood fibers have the appearance of colors and interesting and very interesting (scale 4-5).Keywords: mangium wood, mechanical properties, decorative value, finishing, furniture.
