Aims: To identify the strategies for the prevention of burnout syndrome in nurses; and discuss the results for future interventions that can decrease burnout in these professionals. Design: An integrative review of the literature. Data Sources: PubMed, Lilacs, Medline, Scielo, and Science Direct, from April 2018 to July 2018. Methods: The sources were in all 553 references were found. The following guiding question was: Which interventions for the prevention of burnout in nurses have been applied and have obtained high effectiveness? Results: Based on the inclusion and exclusion factors, 30 studies were selected for analysis. The studies were categorized in individual, group and organizational, being the studies with actions in groups those of greater prevalence. Conclusion: The actions used to cope with burnout were, for the most part, effective, with some demonstrating greater success than others. From the 30 reviewed studies, the results did not obtain satisfactory improvement in burnout in only three interventions: 1) Systematic nursing supervision; 2) Basic nursing care; and 3) Psycho-oncological training program.

The family as a caregiver unit of the hypertense: implications for nursingAbstract: It was aimed to know the involvement and influence of the family at the treatment of the hypertension and the intervener’s factors of this process for nursing care. The Integrative Review of the literature was used as a method of research. The data were collected at LILACS and PubMed data bases from September to November of 2011. Three (03) categories emerged: Authors/Knowledge Field. Aims and Main Contributions of the studies. Contributions to the Nursing Care. The study allowed us to identify the shortage of approaches which contemplates the family at the scenarios of intervention to the hypertensive, revealing the necessity of strategies which will make easier this involvement.Descriptors: Nursing, Family, Hypertension.

Conclusão: a terapêutica apresenta benefícios, porém sua aplicação depende de protocolo institucional e treinamento das equipes com foco nas potenciais complicações.ABSTRACTObjective: to identify the evidence on safe use of therapeutic hypothermia in newborns. Method: integrative review of the literature, conducted between June and July of 2018, in electronic sources from the Virtual Health Library and PubMed, through the question: “What evidence can support nursing care aimed at reducing sequelae in newborns undergoing therapeutic hypothermia?”. Analysis was conducted for nine selected article, being eight from international literature and one from Brazilian national literature. Results: cooling should occur for 72 hours with mild hypothermia. Indications for inclusion in the protocol were: first six hours of life, gestational age greater than 35 weeks and acidosis in the first hour of life. Essential care includes hemodynamic monitoring, skin observation, rectal thermal control, Integrated Amplitude Electroencephalogram surveillance. Conclusion: the therapy has benefits, but its application depends on institutional protocol and team training focusing on potential complications.RESUMENObjetivo: identificar la evidencia sobre el uso seguro de la hipotermia terapéutica en recién nacidos. Objective: to describe scientific evidence on the implementation and control of the device for measuring invasive blood pressure (IBP). Methods: integrative review of the literature, based on Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), PubMed, through the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) and the Medical Subject Headings (MesH): hemodynamic; monitoring; blood pressure; invasive. Articles were selected in English, Portuguese and Spanish, published between 2009 and 2018. The search resulted in a sample of 10 articles. Results: The articles were analyzed and presented in 4 thematic groups according to the information they provided regarding the puncture of the IBP catheter, being: 1- Indications for IBP catheter puncture; 2 -Contraindications and complications resulting from the use of the IBP catheter; 3 -Most indicated puncture sites; 4- Implementation and maintenance of IBP catheter. Conclusion: Further research may contribute to patient care with an IAP device, as well as assisting physicians and nurses in patient care, reducing the risks and potential adverse events of the IAP.

Abstract This study is an integrative review with the aim to identify and describe the scientific evidence of the practical effect of physical activity in people with mental disorders. For the selection of articles, the databases CINAHL, MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, Cochrane and Scopus were used. The sample of this review consisted of eight articles. Their analysis resulted in the categories: obesity and metabolic syndrome, specialized nursing, sedentary and healthy lifestyles, support and social network, incentive to the practice of physical activity, and anxiety and physical activity. The benefits to physical health were partially elucidated by the sample. The implications for nursing care arise from the therapeutic efficacy of physical activity by people with mental disorders, adding individual and collective benefits that provide socialization and promotion of well-being.
