Main objective of this research is to measure an efficiency of commercial banks operating in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in period 2016-2017. An analysis is conducted over 12 banks that had positive overall profit lost at the end of 2016 and 2017 years published by Banking Agency of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with two input and three output parameters is used for efficiency measurement. Each bank’s efficiency is presented for 2016 and 2017 years. For observed period, large banks showed more efficient than small banks. Based on the results shown in this research and features used in this model there is significant difference in relative efficiency of top two banks and rest of 10 banks.

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of efficiency between conventional commercial banks and Islamic commercial banks. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling by taking state-owned banks and Islamic commercial banks with the highest assets. Efficiency measurement in this study uses the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in efficiency between conventional commercial banks and Islamic commercial banks. Overall, each bank has an efficiency level of 93.67% (conventional commercial banks) and 99.99% (Islamic commercial banks). These results indicate that Islamic commercial banks are more efficient than conventional commercial banks.

The paper aims at exploring the relationship between bad debt and cost efficiency in Vietnamese commercial banks in the years 2007 – 2013. The research includes two stages: (i) Measuring the cost efficiency of banks by non-parameter Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method suggested by Coelli (2005); and (ii) Applying the Tobit model to identify two-way effects of bad debt and bank cost efficiency. The results show that the cost efficiency in Vietnamese commercial banks is 52.6% and there exists a direct relationship between bad debt and cost efficiency.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to assess the level of optimality of zakat institutions to deal with the economic crisis during the Covid-19 pandemic.Design/Method/Approach: In this research, the measurement of efficiency of zakat distribution during the Covid-19 pandemic at badan amil zakat nasional (BAZNAS) has been carried out using data envelopment analysis (DEA) method.Findings: The result is the mean of zakah distribution relative efficiency are 70 %. Finally, some suggestion for evaluating the distribution of zakat in the future has been discussed. Originality/Values: The contribution of this research is to obtain the efficiency value of zakat distribution during the Covid-19 pandemic. So that with the result, the management of zakat distribution at BAZNAZ can improved and evaluated.

Pineapple chips is a processed product made of pineapple produced in Kampar Regency. Efficient pineapple chips processing will produce both an added value and high profit. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of relative efficiency of pineapple chips business in Kampar Regency in Riau Province. The level of efficiency achieved is a reflection of the quality of good performance. This research used Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method to measure the level of efficiency. An analysis using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with Constant Return to Scale (CRS) assumption through input oriented approach was done to understand the levels of the pineapple chips producers relative efficiency. The research result showed that Most of the pineapple chips producers in Kampar Regency had not been efficient in relative terms, in which from the total of 21 pineapple chips producers, 8 producers were efficient (38,10%) and 13 producers had not been efficient (61,90%). The efficient producers should be a reference for inefficient producer in using inputs. By referring to the efficient producers, it is expected that the inefficient producers could use the input optimally so that the processing pineapple chips business could reach an efficient condition.

The development of Islamic banking in Indonesia is increasingly progressing quite rapidly. This development is evidenced by the increasing total number of Islamic commercial banks, as well as the very large number of Islamic people's financing banks. This study aims to investigate the comparison between BUS and BPRS. This study uses a quantitative methodology with data analysis techniques using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), and a different test using an independent sample t-test. The population used is 5 Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) and 5 Sharia People's Financing Banks (BPRS) in West Java with data samples of fixed assets, savings, operational costs, financing, and operating profit. This study uses secondary data sourced from the official website of the Financial Services Authority. The results of this study are that BPRS has a higher average efficiency level than BUS, and there is no significant difference between BUS efficiency and BPRS in 2017, 2018, and 2019 based on DEA CRS and DEA VRS.Berkembangnya perbankan syariah di Indonesia semakin memiliki kemajuan yang cukup pesat.

This research purpose to analyze of financing guarantee cooperation agreement between PT. Jamkrindo Syariah Surabaya Branch and Islamic Banks. This research also analyze the comparison of the efficiency level of Islamic Bank to measure the performance of each Sharia banks. Efficiency measurement is calculated using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with an intermediation approach. The results showed that the implementation of such cooperation was not entirely in accordance with the DSN-MUI and OJK, while the results of efficiency level analysis of the four Islamic bank partners showed that there was one bank that had an efficiency value less than 1 (inefficiency), so that the performance was not optimal. Whereas other Sharia banks have achieved perfect efficiency of 100%, which means they have achieved optimal performance. Keywords: Efficiency, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA),Financing Guarantee, Islamic Bank
