Any fish on swept area of bottom trawl could not be caught due to some technical factors during towing. However, it could be estimated by integrated of bottom trawl and acoustic survey. This paper describes the determination of some factors that affect the performance of trawl net during the bottom trawl survey in the waters of Tarakan. Surveys were carried out in May, August, and November 2012. A total of 57 stations of simultaneously acoustic-trawl were completed. Data collected from each station include catch composition, and variables of trawling operation (i.e. bottom depth, warp length, trawl door opening, towing speed, towing duration, and acoustic fish density). Principal component analysis was applied to identify variables might impact of trawling performance (i.e. fish density at the waters area, towing speed, towing duration, warp length, horizontal opening of trawl door, density of non-demersal at cod end, and bottom depth). Both towing speed and towing duration were not major component for trawl operation. According to test of significance for four variables (i.e. bottom depth, warp length, horizontal opening, biota non-demersal at cod end) which affected to fish density at waters area, that both of variable (i.e. warp length and bottom depth) were significant as the principal components for the performance of bottom trawl.

Objective: To identify the socio-economic factors which determine contraceptive use among current users of contraception. Method:Cross-sectional design. Interview schedule of entire eligible couple population of 19 Angwanwari Centres of Block R.S.Pura, Jammu by House to House Survey. Analysis: Besides test of significance, unadjusted Odd's Ratio, adjusted Odd's Ratio were used using Multiple Logistic Regression Analysis technique by SPSS-WIN Version 7.5 Software. Results: Contraceptive use increased with age of women and number of conceptions. Compared to illiterate women, formally educated women were 2.2 times more likely to use contraception. Also, lower income, wives of unskilled workers and Scheduled Caste (SC) woman were more likely to be current users of contraception. Husband's age & literacy, religion and type of family did not show significant relationship with current contraceptive use. J Med Sci.2010; 13(1): 30-32

Cooperation of nurses needed in helping to resolve the client's problem. Cooperation was an important element in developing quality of human resources and improving performance. The general objective of this study was to identify cooperation-relation nurse with motivation in implementing the family nursing care at Surabaya city. The research method was analytical observational with cross sectional approach. The population of this study was 175 nurses at local government clinic at Surabaya city. The sample size of this study was 122 gained by probability sampling. The research variables include the cooperation of nurses and motivation in implementing family nursing care. Instrument used questionnaire. Bivariate analysis of the data was done by Spearman correlation test. Limit the test of significance is 0.05. The test resulted that there was a relationship of cooperation with the motivation of nurses in implementing family nursing care (p = 0.03). Nurses should develop cooperative relationships in order to increase their motivation to carry out the nursing care of the family.

Objectives: Immediate result of PTMC in juvenile (5-12 years) rheumatic mitral stenosis. Study Design: Observational descriptive and retrospective study. Place and Duration of Study: Institute of Cardiology, Multan from 2009 to Jun 2020. Methodology: This is an observational descriptive and retrospective study carried out at Institute of Cardiology, Multan from 2009 to Jun 2020. Patients with clinical evidence of significant mitral stenosis were undergone transthoracic echocardiography. Mitral stenosis was defined as mitral valve area <1.0 cm2 . Mean mitral valve gradient was calculated by mitral valve inflow velocities. Patients with Wilkins score <8 were included. Patients with significant MR, left atrial or atrial appendage clot, infective endocarditis, significant aortic regurgitation or any other indication for bypass surgery were excluded. Patients with Wilkins score >8 were also excluded from the study. Variables recorded on a performa were age, weight, left atrial size, mean mitral valve gradient, preprocedure MR. Reduction of mitral valve mean pressure gradients to less than <50% of the initial value was defined as success (without significant or moderate MR). After the procedure, variables recorded on performa were mean left atrial pressures in mmHg (on angio), mean mitral valve gradients and degree of MR (mild, mild to moderate, moderate or severe MR) on transthoracic echocardiography. Paired t-test of significance (p<0.05) was evaluated using SPSS (version 20). Results: Forty three juvenile patients were included the in the study (2009 to June 2019). Mean age was 10.8 ± 1.4 (range 7-12) years. Mean weight was 28.9 ± 5.2 (20-37) kg. Mean mitral valve gradient (on TTE) before the procedure was 20 ± 6 mmHg. Mean left atrial size and mean area of mitral valve were 42 ± 5 mm and 0.8 ± 0.2 cm2 respectively. Balloon sizes used were 26 mm (n=19) and 24 mm (n=24). After PTMC, mean mitral valve reduced to 7 ± 2 mmHg (p<0.005) and left atrial pressure to 18 ± 7 mmHg. Post procedure transthoracic echocardiography showed 4.7% (n=2/43) patients developed moderate to severe or severe MR. So the success rate was 95.3% (n=41/43). Conclusion: PTMC is safe and effective procedure for juvenile patients with mitral stenosis. Long term follow-up is needed to find out period of re-intervention/surgery free duration from the time of PTMC.
