Upon examination of recently collected epipsocid barklice from natural areas of Colombia, five new species of Neurostigma Enderlein, 1900 were found: N. lienhardi sp. nov., N. mockfordi sp. nov., N. newi sp. nov., N. thorntoni sp. nov., and N. valderramae sp. nov. They are here described and illustrated. A cladistic analysis of 32 morphological characters indicates that Neurostigma is monophyletic. An updated key for the identification of males of the described species of the genus is presented.

The Neotropical thynnine genus Scotaena is revised and a cladistic analysis is presented. The analysis, conducted from 75 morphological characters of 31 terminal taxa, returned a single tree under equal weighting. The monophyly of Scotaena was not recovered. Three new genera and five new species are described: Kaysara gen. nov., Pseudoscotaena gen. nov. and Pampathynnus gen. nov., Scotaena reversa sp. nov., Kaysara laterolata sp. nov., Kaysara apiciconcava sp. nov., Kaysara marginoplicata sp. nov. and Kaysara levicrenata sp. nov. Three species are transferred to other genera as follows: Eucyrtothynnus rosenbergi (Turner, 1910) comb. nov., Glottynoides genisei Kimsey, 1991 comb. nov., Ornepetes clypearis Durán-Moya, 1941 comb. nov. Scotaena now comprises four species: S. trifasciata Klug, 1810; S. horni (Turner, 1927); S. vetusta Turner, 1909; and S. reversa. An identification key and geographical distribution maps for the studied species are also provided.

The genus Thectochlora Moure has been treated as containing only a single species. Based on morphological characters, five species are here recognized: T. alaris (Vachal, 1904), the type-species of Thectochlora; T. basiatra (Strand, 1910) new combination, previously placed in Pseudaugochlora; and three new species, T. brachycera new species (Brazil and Guiana), T. hamata new species (Brazil and Uruguay) and T. mixta new species (Brazil). A male syntype of Augochloropsis (Pseudaugochloropsis) basiatra Strand, 1910, from Paraguay (Villa Morra), is here designated lectotype in order to stabilize the taxonomy of the group. The species of Thectochlora are distinguished based mainly in the males; females of T. alaris and T. basiatra were considered indistinguishable. An identification key, cladistic analysis, maps of geographic records and illustrations are presented.

Neomuscina Townsend includes 41 species distributed throughout the Nearctic and Neotropical Regions. Although the genus has a large number of species, it has been ignored and its taxonomy is confusing and has many flaws. In this work we analyzed the following species recorded for Brazil: Neomuscina atincta Snyder, N. atincticosta Snyder, N. capalta Snyder, N. currani Snyder, N. douradensis Lopes & Khouri, N. goianensis Lopes & Khouri, N. inflexa (Stein), N. instabilis Snyder, N. mediana Snyder, N. mimosa Lopes & Khouri, N. neosimilis Snyder, N. nigricosta Snyder, N. paramediana Lopes & Khouri, N. pictipennis pictipennis (Bigot), N. ponti Lopes & Khouri, N. sanespra Snyder, N. schadei Snyder, N. similata Snyder, N. stabilis (Stein), N. transporta Snyder, N. vitoriae Lopes & Khouri and N. zosteris (Shannon & Del Ponte). Neomuscina nigricosta and N. transporta are new distribution records for Brazil. Three new species are described: Neomuscina anajeensis sp. nov. from Anagé (Bahia), Neomuscina maculata sp. nov. from Botelhos (Minas Gerais) and Neomuscina snyderi sp. nov. from Mata de São João (Bahia). An identification key based on the morphological characters of both male and female is provided. Species distributions are discussed and updated, and the number of species now recorded for Brazil is 29.

We revise the Neotropical snail-feeding Charadrella and add two new species to it, one from Bolivia and one from Brazil. Additionally, we perform a cladistic analysis of the genus, based on morphological characters. Parsimony analyses were carried out under equal and implied weights. Our matrix included 25 species from nine Neotropical and three Afrotropical genera, including the snail-feeding Cariocamyia Snyder (Neotropical), Aethiopomyia Malloch, Alluaudinella Giglio-Tos and Ochromusca Bigot (Afrotropical). The following relationships between the species of Charadrella were recovered: (C. albuquerquei (C. macrosoma (C. malacophaga (C. boliviana, sp. nov., C. nambikwara, sp. nov.)))). In our chosen topology, the clade that includes Charadrella has the following topology (Dichaetomyia (Alluaudinella (Ochromusca (Itatingamyia (Cariocamyia, Charadrella))))), supporting the placement of the genus in the Dichaetomyiinae.

Abstract A new species of freshwater crab of the genus Teretamon Yeo & Ng, 2007, Teretamon husicum sp. nov., is described here from Husa Town, Longchuan County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. Teretamon husicum sp. nov. can be distinguished from other species by a suite of morphological characters, including a bilobed frontal margin, smooth posterolateral regions, and a broadly rounded dorsal flap on the G1 terminal segment. An updated identification key for the species of the genus Teretamon is provided.

A new species of the romaleid grasshopper genus Zoniopoda Stål (Romaleidae: Romaleini) is described and illustrated from the Sierras Chicas of Córdoba Province, central Argentina. A cladistic analysis based on morphological characters indicates that the genus Zoniopoda constitutes a monophyletic group and that Zoniopoda serrana n. sp. must be assigned to Iheringi species group based on synapomorphies of the pronotum and body color. The new species is similar to Z. similis Bruner from Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil, from which it can be distinguished by the color pattern of the body, shape of the pronotal dorso-median carina and characters of the male terminalia and epiphallus. This paper has been formatted with embedded links to images of the type specimen, maps based on georeferenced specimen data for the genus and an updated key to the species of Zoniopoda available on the Orthoptera Species File (OSF) online (http://orthoptera.speciesfile.org).

A revision of the genus Thecomyia Perty, 1833 and a cladistic analysis are presented. Four species names were previously available: T. longicornis Perty, 1833; T. lateralis (Walker, 1858); T. limbata (Wiedemann, 1819) and T. trilineata Hendel, 1932. Herein we designate a lectotype for T. longicornis, T. trilineata is considered a synonym of T. lateralis and nine additional new species are described: T. abercrombiei, T. autazensis, T. bonattoi, T. chrysacra, T. mathisi, T. naponica, T. papaveroi, T. signorelli and T. tricuneata. The cladistic analysis was done using Hennig86 and is based on 21 morphological characters. The analysis was performed using "implicit enumeration" along with "branch and swapping" and resulted in one tree. Two main clades were formed. The first one: (T. tricuneata (T. longicornis (T. chrysacra + T. signorelli))) and the second: (T. autazensis (T. papaveroi + T. naponica)) + (T. limbata (T. abercrombiei (T. lateralis (T. bonattoi + T. mathisi)))).

The genera Hoplopisthius and Carcinopisthius are reviewed. All the species are redescribed and illustrated and an updated identification key and distributional maps are provided. One new species from New Guinea is described (Hoplopisthius maximus n. sp.) and two new synonymies are proposed: Hoplopisthius celebensis Kolbe, 1892 = H. trichemerus Senna, 1892, n. syn. and Carcinopisthius lamingtoni Damoiseau, 1987 = C. forcipitiger Damoiseau, 1987, n. syn. Phylogenetic analysis using PAUP (maximum parsimony) was performed using 25 morphological characters of adults. This analysis shows the group Hoplopisthius + Carcinopisthius is monophyletic, but Carcinopisthius alone is paraphyletic. Nomenclatural changes at the generic level are made to reconcile nomenclature and phylogeny: Hoplopisthius is preserved; Carcinopisthius is downgraded to the rank of subgenus for the two oriental species H. oberthueri and H. fruhstorferi; and Pseudotaphroderes is resurrected as a third subgenus and includes all New-Guinean and Australian species.

Plutomurus jordanai sp. nov. from Zeda Kvilishori Cave (Tskaltubo Municipality, Imereti region, Western Georgia) is described, illustrated and differentiated from other morphologically similar species‒‒P. kelasuricus Martynova, 1969 and P. eristoi Barjadze, Baquero, Soto-Adames, Giordano & Jordana, 2016. In addition, morphological characters omitted or erroneously provided in the original description of Plutomurus birsteini Djanashvili & Barjadze, 2011 are described and illustrated from the specimen sampled in the type locality‒‒Sakishore Cave (Racha region, Western Georgia). An identification key to the species of the genus Plutomurus reported from the Caucasus is presented. A list of the invertebrate communities for Zeda Kvilishori and Sakishore caves is provided.

The Asian species of the genus Pachysternum Motschulsky, 1863 are revised and redescribed. Three new species are de-scribed: Pachysternum kubani sp. nov. (Laos, China: Sichuan), P. rugosum sp. nov. (China: Gansu, Shaanxi) and P. san-dacanum sp. nov. (Malaysia: Sabah, Sarawak). Three new synonyms are established: Megasternum gibbulumMotschulsky, 1866 and Pachysternum sibiricum Kuwert, 1890 are junior synonyms of Pachysternum haemorrhoumMotschulsky, 1866; Pachysternum nigritum Jia, Wu & Pu, 1998 is a junior synonym of P. stevensi Orchymont, 1926.Pachysternum keralense Hebauer, 2002 is transferred to the pilocnemoides group of the genus Australocyon Hansen,1990. Megasternum japonicum Shatrovskiy, 1989 is resurrected from the synonymy with M. gibbulum and considered asa valid name. Lectotypes are designated for the following species: Pachysternum apicatum Motschulsky, 1863, P. curva-tum Orchymont, 1925, P. haemorrhoum Motschulsky, 1866, P. nigrovittatum Motschulsky, 1863, P. sibiricum Kuwert,1890, Megasternum gibbulum Motschulsky, 1866 and M. distinctum Sharp, 1873. All Pachysternum species are diag-nosed, relevant morphological characters are illustrated, and an updated identification key is provided. Pachysternum api-catum is interpreted as a polymorphic species exhibiting high geography-based variation and possibly consisting of somesibling taxa; diagnosing of these taxa requires more material and additional (ideally molecular) characters and is therefore left unresolved at the present time.
