Cost reduction strategies assist firms to gain competitive advantages over other firms in the same industry. The introduction of mechanization in the tea industry has come with a shortfall of workforce reduction and the replacement of workers with machines. One of the important questions brought about by this is does mechanization benefit tea firms through cost reduction? Do the benefits outweigh the costs? This article investigates the effect of the accrued cost savings on organization performance. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to support the concept of technology utilization in production. The descriptive and causal research design was adopted. A sample size of 101 respondents was selected from a target population of 135 respondents using stratified sampling technique from within Multinational Tea Companies in Kericho, Kenya. Data was analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. This study concludes that using tea-harvesting machines saves costs, which directly affects organizational performance. This study also concludes that tea-harvesting machines might affect production flexibility, which in turn influences organizational performance. There is a need to put in place policies that will enhance the use of tea harvesting machines to save operation costs. This will affect organizations’ performance positively.

The purpose of this chapter is to examine the factors that influence small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) intentions to use the investment account platform (IAP) based on technology acceptance model (TAM). The central hypothesis for this chapter was that SMEs' intentions to use IAP were a result of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. This chapter also suggested that perceived ease of use and intention was mediated by perceived usefulness of the IAP. Using primary data collection method, 163 questionnaires were collected from SMEs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia using the purposive sampling technique. The data were analysed using SPSS and SmartPLS. The chapter found that perceived ease of use had significant influences on SMEs intention to use the IAP while perceived ease of use significantly affected perceived usefulness and the relationship between perceived ease of use and intention was mediated by perceived usefulness of the IAP. The results of this chapter suggested strategies to promote the platform as a fund seeking platform for SMEs.

Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to explore the moderating role of technological innovations on the relationship between operational performance towards patient satisfaction. The study presented the first step towards a systematic and theoretical approach in understanding the patient satisfaction. To achieve this, the theory synthesizing and model approaches are adopted. Self-administrated questionnaires will be used to gather data. The findings highlighted that healthcare establishments need to focus on technology-based services due to the decreasing level of satisfaction when population rises. In order to cope with this issue, technological based management system and equipment’s need to be introduced to enhance the operational performance of hospitals, which reduces the delays in treatment and ease the burden of practitioners. The strategy also brings improvement in patient care services and higher level of trust towards hospitals. The study also benefits scholars and open a new avenue for researchers and academia. The paper concluded that appropriate measuring protocols such as technology acceptance model (TAM) and technology readiness model (TRM) need to be incorporated to effectively gauge the effectiveness of the organizational performance and patient satisfaction in the light of technological innovation. The research conducted aims to examine the effect of facility conditions and social influences on the technology acceptance model (TAM) construct consisting of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward using, behavioral intentions to use, and actual use to GoPay and OVO consumers. This research was conducted on students who are actively studying at Tarumanagara University, Trisakti University, and Atmajaya University who are also GoPay and OVO users in April 2019. The sampling technique used is based on the Slovin formula. Source of research data is the result of the distribution of questionnaire instruments, where the assessment of the response of each sample is measured using a Likert scale. The results of data collection are then analyzed using the structural equation model. The results of the study prove that the condition of the facility and social influence as an external variable in the TAM model under study has a positive effect on perceived ease and perceived benefits. The results of this study explain that the better the facilities, which include facilities and infrastructure in the use of GoPay and OVO as e-money, as well as the more people who use GoPay and OVO will tend to have an impact on the formation of perceptions of convenience and perceptions of benefits that are increasingly positive so as to encourage individuals to have a positive attitude and greater interest to use GoPay and OVO to help with the activities or activities undertaken.

The business case for diversity is really a technological one. Like the Hubble telescope uses multiple lenses to acquire an understanding of the universe that no one lens can achieve alone, the business case suggests that diversity (however defined) provides multiple perspectives that help organizations better understand an increasingly complex and heterogeneous marketplace. If the prevailing argument for diversity is indeed technology-driven, the present paper suggests that looking at diversity through the lens of the Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM3) might provide insights that could improve both the acceptance of diversity in the organization and its impact on organizational performance.
