This article shows the results of research to analyze the perceptions of students of the bachelor’s degree in Economics, about learning mathematics, teaching processes, and understanding the Spanish language in which the classes are taught. The methodology used was descriptive, non-experimental, cross-cutting and field. As results, students perceive mathematics as tense; but attractive, with teaching processes that are sometimes not noticeably clear. Successful teaching-learning in mathematics and the disciplines that derive from it are a challenge regardless of academic level. Studies reflecting the relationship of this situation to variables such as language barriers are considered necessary.

Since the beginning of humanity, an attempt has been made to explain the way in which man acquires knowledge, the way in which he assimilates, processes and executes it in order to develop the teaching-learning process that people need throughout of his life, which forces to change the learning schemes using new study methodologies, such as neuroscience, which is a discipline that studies the functioning of the brain, the relationship of neurons to the formation of synapses creating immediate responses which transmits to the body voluntarily and involuntarily, in addition to controlling the central and peripheral nervous system with their respective functions. It is necessary to change the traditional scheme and implement new strategies that allow the teacher to venture into neuroscience, in order to individually understand the different learning processes that students do. As some authors of neuroscience say, the brain performs processes of acquisition, storage and evocation of information, which form new knowledge schemes that generate changes in the attitude of the human being, for this reason teachers are responsible for taking advantage of what It is known about the multiple functions of the brain and be clear about the various ways of acquiring knowledge.

This paper analyses the research approach on the relationship between scientificscholar knowledge of the teacher and common previous knowledge of students inschool within the context of teaching, learning and conceptual change in sciences. The paper shows two sections: the first is about conceptual historical development ofthe research question. ln this sense the first question was How the students learnsciences and its transformation into the second, third , fourth and fifth question wasjustified on the light of the reading of the following works, mainly: Piaget, A usubel ,Driver, Vygotsky, and Bachelard, Canguilhem, Kuhn, Lakatos, Popper and othersauthors. The second explains the research question taking into consideration themeaning of the teacher, the pupil and the scientific knowledge in the classroom. Forthis purpose it is necessary to design a conceptual structure in order to analyze therelations, the concepts and the research problems of the teaching, learning andassessment in sciences. The structure shows the relationship of the teacher and thepupilas knowledge relationship. This is the cause why scientific knowledge must beconsidered as the hard core of the science teaching. But scientific knowledge in thiscase is seen as a product of the its historical and epistemological development andthe way as scientific knowledge changes in science is the basis forthinking aboutconceptual change of students in the classroom. The paper ends showing the aimsof the researcher engaged in this approach.

National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was launched on 29 September 2015 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to rank the academic & research institutions across the country. The NIRF E-release of India Ranking 2020 was held on 11th June 2020. The present study analyses the top 100 Universities in terms of visualisation of data, the relationship of ranking with the parameters, and the relations among these parameters. Results of the study indicate that the Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR) score for all the universities was almost similar while Research and Professional Practice (RP) score had a considerable variation and played a significant role in ranking by having a positive linear correlation with the total score with the value of R2= 0.746. RP also has a strong correlation with the Peer Perception (PR) of the university. The average library expenditure of top-10 universities was 9.45 crore per annum. It was also found that library expenditure has a positive correlation with RP and the universities with higher research productivity also have a more outstanding quality of publication in terms of citations.

The aim of this study is four fold: (a) to investigate the beliefs of elementary (grades 1-3) and middle school (4-6 grades) math teachers about teaching, learning and nature of mathematics; (b) to explore their teaching practices of mathematics; (c) to study the impact of their educational qualifications, years of experience, major on their beliefs toward teaching, learning and nature of mathematics, and; (d) to explore the relationship between their beliefs about teaching learning and nature of mathematics and their teaching practices. Data were collected using two questionnaires: the Math Teacher Beliefs Scale and the Mathematics Teaching Practices Scale. The study sample consisted of 101 teachers who teach in 11 private schools located in Amman, Jordan. The result of this study showed that teachers’ beliefs towards teaching and learning mathematics are more inclined towards being constructive or mixed in between. It was also concluded that the teaching practices lean towards constructivism. There were no significant differences attributed to years of experience, academic level, major, or at what stage they teach, whether it revolves around the their beliefs towards teaching and learning mathematics or towards teaching practices (from teachers’ perspective). The study results revealed a statistically significant correlation between what the teachers believe and what teaching practices they put into use.

The relationship reading and writing with cognitive-linguistic factors is analyzed for most studies, being less frequent the studies related with motivation. This study analyse the relation of the motivation and writing composition and reading comprehension, in Spanish teenagers. The sample this formed by 203 subjects of 1º (<em>ME</em>=12.4, <em>DT</em>=1.28), 2º (<em>ME</em>=13.6, <em>DT</em>=1.02) y 3º (<em>ME</em>=14.2, <em>DT</em>=1.34) of compulsory secondary education, of class media sociocultural, with normal intellectual levels and without deficits physical, psychic or sensory. The students were evaluated in motivation in terms of frequency of thoughts about performance of academics tasks. The written composition was evaluated in terms of thematic progression, semantic, morphosyntactic and metacognition. And the reading comprehension evaluated in terms of selection and organization of ideas, semantic, morphosyntactic and metacognition. The design is transversal and we realised analysis of lineal regression. The results obtained indicate that the motivation explains 17% of the written composition and between 16 and 27% of the reading comprehension, according to the academic level. The relationship of motivation and written language in this ages and their potential impact on problems in written composition and reading comprehension in adolescence is emphasized.

Despite public health campaigns and safer sex messages, many men who have sex with men (MSM) continue to participate in high-risk sexual behaviors, which may make them vulnerable to HIV infection and sexually transmitted infections. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of depressive symptoms, self-esteem, and sexual behaviors in a predominantly Hispanic sample of MSM. This correlational study sampled 205 MSM ( M = 37 years of age, SD = ±8) representing the diverse ethnic composition of South Florida. This sample consisted of ethnic minorities (79%) with a large number of foreign-born men (69%). Participants completed measures of depressive symptoms, self-esteem, and sexual behaviors. Results indicated that higher levels of depressive symptoms and higher levels of self-esteem had a statistically significant relationship to lower levels of safer sexual behaviors. Lower income, lower educational level, and preference for Spanish language were associated with higher levels of depressive symptoms; lower income was associated with lower levels of self-esteem; and foreign birth and a preference for Spanish language were associated with lower levels of safer sex behaviors. Higher levels of depressive symptoms and higher levels of self-esteem were associated with high-risk sexual behaviors in this sample of MSM. Further research needs to be directed at culturally specific mental health and HIV prevention strategies for these vulnerable MSM.
