A complete characterization of locally primitive normal Cayley graphs of metacyclic groups is given. Namely, let $\Gamma={\rm Cay}(G,S)$ be such a graph, where $G\cong{\Bbb Z}_m.{\Bbb Z}_n$ is a metacyclic group and $m=p_1^{r_1}p_2^{r_2}\cdots p_t^{r_t}$ such that $p_1 < p_2 < \dots < p_t$. It is proved that $G\cong D_{2m}$ is a dihedral group, and $val(\Gamma)=p$ is a prime such that $p|(p_1(p_1-1),p_2-1,\dots,p_t-1)$. Moreover, three types of graphs are constructed which exactly form the class of locally primitive normal Cayley graphs of metacyclic groups.

We construct several new families of directed strongly regular Cayley graphs (DSRCGs) over the metacyclic group M 4 n = ⟨ a , b | a n = b 4 = 1 , b − 1 a b = a − 1 ⟩ , some of which generalize those earlier constructions. For a prime p and a positive integer α > 1 , for some cases, we characterize the DSRCGs over M 4 p α .

We provide new examples of Cayley graphs on which the quantum walks reach uniform mixing. Our first result is a complete characterization of all $2(d+2)$-regular Cayley graphs over $\mathbb{Z}_3^d$ that admit uniform mixing at time $2\pi/9$. Our second result shows that for every integer $k\ge 3$, we can construct Cayley graphs over $\mathbb{Z}_q^d$ that admit uniform mixing at time $2\pi/q^k$, where $q=3, 4$.We also find the first family of irregular graphs, the Cartesian powers of the star $K_{1,3}$, that admit uniform mixing.

AbstractIn this paper we classify all infinite metacyclic groups up to isomorphism and determine their non-abelian tensor squares. As an application we compute various other functors, among them are the exterior square, the symmetric product, and the second homology group for these groups. We show that an infinite non-abelian metacyclic group is capable if and only if it is isomorphic to the infinite dihedral group

A Boolean function is a function $f:\Bbb{Z}_n^2 \rightarrow \{0,1\}$ and we denote the set of all $n$-variable Boolean functions by $BF_n$. For $f\in BF_n$ the vector $[{\rm W}_f(a_0),\ldots,{\rm W}_f(a_{2n-1})]$ is called the Walsh spectrum of $f$, where ${\rm W}_f(a)= \sum_{x\in V} (-1)^{f(x) \oplus ax}$, where $V_n$ is the vector space of dimension $n$ over the two-element field $F_2$. In this paper, we shall consider the Cayley graph $\Gamma_f$ associated with a Boolean function $f$. We shall also find a complete characterization of the bent Boolean functions of order $16$ and determine the spectrum of related Cayley graphs. In addition, we shall enumerate all orbits of the action of automorphism group on the set $BF_n$.

Abstract Unidirectional cord-rubber specimens in the form of tensile coupons and sandwich beams were used. Using specimens with the cords oriented at 0°, 45°, and 90° to the loading direction and appropriate data reduction, we were able to obtain complete characterization for the in-plane stress-strain response of single-ply, unidirectional cord-rubber composites. All strains were measured by means of liquid mercury strain gages, for which the nonlinear strain response characteristic was obtained by calibration. Stress-strain data were obtained for the cases of both cord tension and cord compression. Materials investigated were aramid-rubber, polyester-rubber, and steel-rubber.

Abstract In this work, we present new results concerning electrostatic discharge (ESD) robustness of 0.6 μm CMOS structures. Devices have been tested according to both HBM and socketed CDM (sCDM) ESD test procedures. Test structures have been submitted to a complete characterization consisting in: 1) measurement of the tum-on time of the protection structures submitted to pulses with very fast rise times; 2) ESD stress test with the HBM and sCDM models; 3) failure analysis based on emission microscopy (EMMI) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).

Let G = (V, E) be an undirected graph where the edges in E have non-negative weights. A star in G is either a single node of G or a subgraph of G where all the edges share one common end-node. A star forest is a collection of vertex-disjoint stars in G. The weight of a star forest is the sum of the weights of its edges. This paper deals with the problem of finding a Maximum Weight Spanning Star Forest (MWSFP) in G. This problem is NP-hard but can be solved in polynomial time when G is a cactus [Nguyen, Discrete Math. Algorithms App. 7 (2015) 1550018]. In this paper, we present a polyhedral investigation of the MWSFP. More precisely, we study the facial structure of the star forest polytope, denoted by SFP(G), which is the convex hull of the incidence vectors of the star forests of G. First, we prove several basic properties of SFP(G) and propose an integer programming formulation for MWSFP. Then, we give a class of facet-defining inequalities, called M-tree inequalities, for SFP(G). We show that for the case when G is a tree, the M-tree and the nonnegativity inequalities give a complete characterization of SFP(G). Finally, based on the description of the dominating set polytope on cycles given by Bouchakour et al. [Eur. J. Combin. 29 (2008) 652–661], we give a complete linear description of SFP(G) when G is a cycle.
