Learning is an interaction between students and their environment, the purpose is a changes behavior for the better. Creating quality learning has many obstacles, mainly; the problem of learning objectives, materials, teachers, students, methods, media, infrastructure, and evaluation. Islamic Education Learning in Students there are three factors, the factors are Internal factors of students, institutional factors, and external factors. Solutions were made to solve the problems that occurred; provide guidance, added the values of the Islamic Religious Education subject, improving the ability of teachers, service, and activating community relations teacher and parent.

The stagnation in the field of Islamic education and intellectualism in the era of Islamic decline is allegedly derived from the gradual dicline of the religious sciences, because of its isolation from the intellectual life that eventually died. The determinants of the importance of modernization of Islamic education in the form of internal factors include: the existence of an Islamic education system that is accommodative to the changing times. Meanwhile, the external factors that are urgent to immediately modernization of Islamic education is to catch up with other nations. Keywords: Factor, Modernization, Islamic Education إن ما يحدث من الجمود في التربية والعلوم الإسلامية في عصر الانحطاط يأتي من الجفاف التدريجي لعلوم الدين، لبعدها من الحياة العامة ثم ماتت. والعامل الحاسم الذي يجعل أهمية تحديث التربية الإسلامية يشمل العوامل الداخلية والعوامل الخارجية، فمن العوامل الداخلية هي: وجود نظام التربية الإسلامية التي تتجاوب مع تغييرات الزمان. ومن العوامل الخاريجية التي تدعو إلى تحديث التربية الإسلامية هي النهوض من تخلف المسلمين بالنظر إلى الشعوب الأخرى. Terjadinya stagnasi dalam bidang pendidikan dan intelektualisme Islam pada era kemunduruan Islam disinyalir berasal dari kekeringan yang gradual dari ilmu-ilmu keagamaan, karena pengucilannya dari kehidupan intelektualisme awam yang juga kemudian mati. faktor determinan yang menjadi sebab pentingnya modernisasi pendidikan Islam berupa faktor internal internal meliputi: adanya sebuah sistem pendidikan Islam yang akomodatif terhadap perubahan zaman, Sementara itu, faktor eksternal yang mendesak untuk segera dilakukannya modernisasi pendidikan Islam adalah untuk mengejar ketertinggalan kaum Muslimin terhadap bangsa lain.

This study aims to determine: 1. ICT-based PAI Learning Planning in Private Islamic Education Foundation Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah International Islamic Full Day School Medan, 2. The use of ICT in PAI learning in Private Islamic Education Foundation Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah International Islamic Education Full Day School Medan, and 3. Problems in the implementation of ICT-based PAI learning and the solution at the Private Islamic Education Foundation Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah International Islamic Full Day School Medan. This research is includes as field research. The technique used in collecting this research data uses interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Then in the analysis of data using descriptive qualitative methods, the data collected is then analyzed so that it becomes a conclusive unity using the inductive approach. From the results of research in general shows that the implementation of ICT-based learning in the Private Foundation Education Foundation Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah International Islamic Full Day School Medan can be said to be good. This can be seen from the learning objectives of PAI at the school that do not deviate from the goals of national education and the results of the evaluation exceed the KKM standard (Minimum Completeness Criteria) of Islamic Religious Education learning

This study aims to determine the dominant factors that cause learning difficulties of students in participating in the Islamic Education (PAI) program at students of grade XI and XII at Laksamana Martadinata High School, Medan, North Sumatra. The research method used is descriptive research. This research was conducted in January to February 2020. 236 students of class XI and XII of Laksamana Martadinata Senior High School in Medan, North Sumatra were sampled in this study. Data collection techniques used in this study were by giving a questionnaire to the factors of student learning difficulties in following the Islamic Education subjects. The results showed that the internal factors causing the highest learning difficulties were health indicators with 70.68% and the external factors causing the highest learning difficulties were family indicators with 55.01%.

To achieve learning objectives, the enthusiasm of students has an existence that cannot be negotiated, its nature is inherent. This is because the learning process requires awareness and mental readiness that requires a desire or encouragement to learn. In practice, factually, in Islamic religious education, learners from non-Muslim families and converts have its challenges. This reality can be found as is the case in SMAN 16 and SMAN 17 Surabaya city. This study aims to identify the characteristics of learning motivation through the approach of learning psychology. Researchers conduct interviews and in-depth observations in natural setting situations through qualitative research methods with a case study approach. This method aims to describe, analyze phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, perceptions, and thoughts of individual people. The study found that: First, the problem in the motivation of learning Islamic Education, both mualaf and non-Muslim family students concerning psychic aspects, methods of spending and materials that are too "overdosed" for the size of beginners. Problems like this, can be minimized if the teacher correctly understands the learners' characteristics, plans a mature learning, and uses fun media. Second, the problem of learning motivation in Islamic Education, which includes extrinsic and intrinsic aspects, can be overcome if the teacher acts not only as a conveyor of knowledge but also as a source of inspiration and motivation. Thus, teachers can become trendsetters of science, morality, and inspiration for their students. Increased learning motivation is therefore, not only packaged for “how to know” but also “how to do and feel.”

This paper is intended to describe the strategy of juvenile delinquency management through Islamic education. Islamic education, which contains a series of materials and activities, will instill positive things in students, by which  juvenile delinquency is prevented. Juvenile delinquency is influenced by internal, i.e.  religious education in the family, and external factors, i.e. religious education in society. Through Islamic education at school, students gain religious knowledge as self prevention from a negative influence. The activities includes stuedies with specific themes, such as fiqh for woman and other activities in ROHIS organization. Such activities can enhance faith and piety.

This article presents the results of research on the "new direction" of Islamic education in Lampung: reading the shifting paradigm of Islamic education to Lampung indigenous people. The purpose of this study is to describe the paradigm shifting process  of Islamic education within Lampung indigenous people. The research data were collected through interviews, observations, and text reviews. The result of the study shows that the paradigm shift in Islamic education within the Lampung indigenous people was caused by several factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Among the internal factors,  the dominance of the parent's mindset is the most significant  for the direction shift of education for the Lampung indigenous people. In addition, human resources also influence the shift in the direction of Islamic education. Islamic education exists as a main education and sub education. A the external factors, globalization and modernization are the entry points for a paradigm shift in Islamic education for Lampung's indigenous people. Cultural dynamics and social change are challenges for the world of Islamic education. Islamic boarding schools or Islamic educational institutions are assumed to have no relevance to the progress of the age. Keywords: Paradigm, Islamic Education, and Lampung Indigenous People

AbstractThis study is a survey of Islamic religious study at school aimed to know the category of school library, know the existence of Islamic religion library, know the user and initiator of Islamic education library in schools. The data was acquired by questionnaire through respondents namely principals, teachers of religion and officers of library and the students. The research shows that there are 4 categories of religion library in school namely independent library, combined with school library, combined with mosque and combined with religious education laboratory. The determining figures in initiating and developing school education library are the principal and religion teacher. The collections of the library are still limited and inadequate. The main users are religion teachers and students to achieve the learning objectives. AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan survei terhadap perpustakaan pendidikan agama Islam di sekolah. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui kategori perpustakaan sekolah, mengetahui keberadaan perpustakaan pendidikian agama Islam di sekolah, mengetahui pengguna dan pemrakarsa perpustakaan pendidikan agama Islam di sekolah. Data diperoleh menggunakan angket melalui responden, yakni: kepala sekolah, guru agama, dan petugas perpustakaan sekolah, dan siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: terdapat 4 kategori perpustakaan pendidikan agama di sekolah, yakni: perpustakaan yang berdiri sendiri, bergabung dengan perpustakaan sekolah, bergabung dengan musholah atau mesjid sekolah, dan yang bergabung dengan laboratorium pendidikan agama. Tokoh yang menentukan dalam memprakarsai dan mengembangkan perpustakaan pendidikan agama di sekolah adalah Kepala sekolah dan guru agama. Koleksi bahan pustaka keagamaan masih sangat kurang dan terbatas. Pengguna utama dari perpustakaan adalah guru agama dan siswa dalam rangka mendukung pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran.

Management of Islamic Boarding Schools in the Development of Islamic Education in Jambi Province. Dissertation, Management of Islamic Education / Postgraduate Program of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi Islamic University, 2018. The purpose of this study was to find out about Islamic boarding schools that have not been effective in the development of Islamic Education in Jambi Province due to interenal and external factors, want to know and find planning ), organizing, implementing actuating and controlling Islamic boarding schools in the development of Islamic Religious Education in Jambi Province, and wanting to know about the concept of Islamic boarding school development in Islamic Education in Jambi Province. The research approach used is a qualitative approach to the type of case study. It is hoped that the image will be raised about quality, social reality, the perception of the target researchers. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study have not been effective, because of internal and external factors that exist in Islamic boarding schools in the development of Islamic Religious Education. Planning the management of Islamic boarding schools has been based on clear objectives, but not optimal, there is no maximum human and financial resources. Organizing at the Islamic Boarding School is functional, the division of labor has been achieved, the work guidelines are not optimal, and leaders of Islamic boarding schools often delegate to Deputy leaders, because the Kyai are not daily at the pesantren. The management of Islamic boarding schools has cooperated with stakeholders, has not produced graduates above national standards, the committee is not optimal, guidance is not optimal and there are rewards and funmenmen. Supervision of Islamic Boarding School management for maximal absenteeism, optimal information, active computerized system, pesantren website is less active, six-month meetings are less optimal, once a year meeting are optimal, active in motivation and active in clarification and correction. The concept of development is the design of developing something that already exists in order to improve the quality of more advanced. Recommendations The results of this dissertation research, researchers recommend specifically to: Leaders and Managers of the Zulhijjah Muara Bulian Islamic Boarding School in Batanghari, Syekh Maulana Qori Merangin Leaders and Pesantren, Head of the Ministry of Religion Jambi Province and Leaders of Non-Formal Education Institutions, and Community Organizations.

AbstractLearning media is one component in the learning system that has relevance to other learning components. In the learning process, PAI and Budi Pekerti teachers are expected to be able to use various forms of instructional media. For that teachers PAI and Budi Pekerti must have media literacy in the form of the ability to know the various forms of learning media and understand the way, usability, function and purpose of use in the learning process. The purpose of writing this paper, namely: (1) describe the implementation of media literacy in the learning process of Islamic religious education and character; and (2) to describe the form of printed, electronic and digital media that can be used in the learning process of Islamic education and character. Therefore, PAI and Budi Pekerti teachers should have media literacy to make learning process more effective and efficient in delivering learners to achieve the planned learning objectives. AbstrakMedia pembelajaran merupakan salah satu komponen di dalam sistem pembelajaran yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan komponen pembelajaran lainnya. Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru PAI dan Budi Pekerti diharapkan mampu menggunakan berbagai bentuk media pembelajaran. Untuk itu guru PAI dan Budi Pekerti harus memiliki literasi media berupa kemampuan untuk mengetahui berbagai bentuk media pembelajaran dan memahami cara, kegunaan, fungsi dan tujuan penggunaannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penulisan makalah ini, yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan implementasi literasi media dalam proses pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dan budi pekerti; dan (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk media pembelajaran berbasis cetak, elektronik dan digital yang bisa digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dan budi pekerti. Untuk itu, guru PAI dan Budi Pekerti harus memiliki literasi media agar proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan lebih efektif dan efisien dalam mengantarkan peserta didik mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang direncanakan. Literasi Media Pembelajaran: Cetak, Elektronik, Digital.
