The use of additional subtance for food is to increase or to maintain nutritional value and quality of storability. Our govermment prohibits the use of borax as an additives subtance for food as appointed in Permenkes No.033, 2012. Borax is a chemical compound in white colorless crystalline with a chemical formula Na2B4O7.10H2O. Rice crackers are crackers made from rice with spices and flavor enhancer. In manufacturing crackers Borax is sometimes added to get savory crackers and to make them swelling. The purpose of this study is to find out the borax content on rice crackers in traditional markets Tanggamus district by using the qualitative method. It uses the flame test, cucurmin reagen test and ammonia steam test. It also applies quantitative test by using spectophotometry UV-Vis. There are 8 samples which were taken in tradisional markets Tanggamus district. The result of determination of the maximum length waves is 543 nm. This method has been validated before being used for the samples. The resulf of the research shows a curve with linear calibration,with the regression equalition y = 0,539x + 0,009 and correlation coefficient (r) = 0,9979. The average recorvery or accuracy value is 104,71 %. The precision or the result of standartd deviation and standard deviation relative or coeffecient of variation (CV) is 0,219%. The LOD acquistion value is 0,069 µg/ml and the LOQ is 0,320 µg/ml. The validation of the test shows that all methods have been done are valid, so it can be used to test the borax assay on the samples. Based on the analysis on 8 samples of rice crackers, quanlitative obtained sample testing shows 6 detected containing borax, then the result of quantitative obtained the level of borax ranged from 46,75 µg/g until 107 µg/g. In the article is considered a possibility to use the accessible modern digital technique: flatbet scanners, digital photocameras and web-cameras for determination of color of foodstuff. The offered method allows get the digital image of studied sample and count information about the values of color coordinates of its every pixel that characterizes the color of meat half-finished product such as meat powder. The assessment of this raw material was carried out in dry and restored state. At measurement of color coordinates of the meat powders in native state there was determined the method of sample preparation for getting the mean value of color with the least standard deviation ~ 20 %. Thus, according to the studies, the sample of dry meat half-finished product must be reduced to fragments less than 0,2 mm. Availability of this method allows use it for assessment of the quality of dry meat half-finished products according to color parameter.

Abstract Organoleptic assessment of fresh fish includes specifications for the quality of the eyes, gills, mucus, odor, texture and flesh (color and appearance). However, not everyone has knowledge about it. This research uses the tiny yolov2 to facilitate the determination of fish freshness levels (good quality, medium quality, poor quality) correctly and fast. There are a few stages in this research, included organoleptic test accompanied by taking fish eye image dataset every hour, processing organoleptic test data labeling, training, and validation. There are three types of fish used, consists of Rastrelliger, Euthynnus affinis, and Chanos chanos. Detection of fish freshness level for three species was successfully carried out with the result of average precision is 72.9%, average recall is 57.5%, and accuracy is 57.5%. The factors that affect the prediction results in this study is the collection of datasets before the training process is carried out consisting of fish samples obtained from traditional markets, which are considered inadequate so that it affects the organoleptic test process itself, the organoleptic test that was carried out as a reference for image sorting was considered inaccurate because it used less than 30 untrained panelists and dataset imbalance.

Possibilities of application of DIN EN 13036-4 Characteristics of road and airfield covering are considered. Test method. Part 4. Method of measurement of sliding resistance. Testing with a pendulum device to assess the coefficient of adhesion of road markings. This method is not applicable for diagnostics and more advanced scientific studies of rough and cohesive properties of road surfaces. The standard can be useful to control coupling properties of road markings, airfield pavements, examination of traffic accidents or for additional evaluate and evaluate the quality of road works, which, however, can be much better resolved based on domestic indicators standard deviation raznovysotnyh of Krasnoglinsky and raznolikosti geometry mikroheranhvatho road surface.

Highest Retail Price (HRP) of rice is a price policy implemented by the government to maintain price stability, certainty, and affordability so there is no excessive increase. This study analyzes how traders apply and understand the HRP; analyzes changes in price, quality, trademark, volume of buying and selling rice at the trader level in traditional markets and how the effectiveness of HRP determination of medium and premium rice. Research respondents were 12 traditional market rice traders from four regions in South Sumatra, namely Palembang City and Prabumulih representing consumer regions and OKI and Muara Enim Regencies representing producer regions. The results showed that not all traders knew and agreed with the policy of HRP determination. Determination of HRP causes a change in the price and quality of rice sold where the proportion of premium rice sales becomes greater than before, while for trademarks there is no change, but there is additional information of the type of rice (medium or premium) on rice packaging. Based on the calculation results, it appears that the average effectiveness of medium rice is 1,028 after the determination of HRP so that it is considered ineffective, while the average effectiveness of premium rice is 0.920 (effective).

The incommensurately modulated crystal structure of the mineral daliranite has been determined using 3D electron diffraction data obtained on nanocrystalline domains. Daliranite is orthorhombic with a = 21, b = 4.3, c = 9.5 Å and shows modulation satellites along c. The solution of the average structure in the Pnma space group together with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy data obtained on the same domains indicate a chemical formula of PbHgAs2S5, which has one S fewer than previously reported. The crystal structure of daliranite is built from columns of face-sharing PbS8 bicapped trigonal prisms laterally connected by [2+4]Hg polyhedra and (As3+ 2S5)4− groups. The excellent quality of the electron diffraction data allows a structural model to be built for the modulated structure in superspace, which shows that the modulation is due to an alternated occupancy of a split As site.

A sensitive, selective, and validated spectrofluorimetric method is being described for the determination of penicillin G. The method utilizes this drug (as a source of the amine moiety) to react with acetylacetone and formaldehyde through the Hantzsch reaction. The faint yellow product of dihydropyridine derivatives was measured at an emission wavelength of 481 nm (after excitation at 416 nm). Linear calibration graphs were obtained in the range of 0.2-200 μg/mL. The experimental limits of detection and quantitation were 0.170 and 0.515 μ/mL, respectively. The relative standard deviation (n=5) at the 100 μg/mL level were 6.11 for intra-day precision and 9.42 for inter-day precision. The method was successfully applied in the analysis of pharmaceutical formulation; the recovery was quantitative, and the result obtained agreed with those obtained by another reported method.

One that influences human resource indicators is education. The teacher is a profession as a job of academic specialization in a relatively long time in college. Understanding related to teacher competence is very important to have by a prospective teacher because it can affect the quality of performance as a professional teacher. The teacher's competence is known as pedagogic, professional, social and personality competencies. The issue in this study is how the competency of the teacher of the Department of Geography Education FKIP Unsyiah as a prospective teacher of geography? The purpose of this study was to determine the competence of teachers in the Department of Geography Education FKIP Unsyiah as prospective geography teachers. Quantitative description approach is used in this study to find answers to the issue. The population in this study were students of the Department of Geography Education FKIP Unsyiah class of 2015 and 2016 who had been declared to have passed the Micro Teaching and Magang Kependidikan 3 course totaling 50 people. Because the population is small and can be reached, the determination of the sample using total sampling techniques so that the sample in this study is the whole population. Data collection is done by distributing test questions to respondents. The data was analyzed using the descriptive statistics percentage formula. The results of the study indicate that the level of teacher competence of Geography Education Department students as prospective teachers is in the moderate category, namely as many as 22 respondents (44%). A total of 12 respondents (24%) were in the high category, 15 respondents (30%) were in the low category and 1 respondent (2%) were in the very low category.

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to reveal how the quality of education in this Islamic boarding school is, particularly related to education facilities, curriculum and strategies of education quality improve­ments. This study used the qualitative method. Findings of this study are: first, education infrastructure and facilities are relatively complete and adequate, which are supported by the atmosphere of the Islamic boarding school that is full of simplicity and modesty by habituation in implementing clean and healthy lifestyle. Second, the tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion)-based curriculum compiled by the Islamic boarding school occupies the same degree (equal) to the curriculum prepared by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, so that both tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion) studies and general studi­es have high electability, which is able to increase the quality of education and also generates interest and motivation of the people (parents) to put their children to the Islamic boarding school. Third, education in the Islamic boarding school has a strong independency because it is supported by substantial financial resources.AbstrakTujuan tulisan ini untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren ini, khususnya berkaitan dengan sarana pendidikan, kurikulum dan sterategi peningkatan mutu pendidik­an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil temuan studi ini adalah: Pertama, sarana dan fasilitas pendidikan relatif lengkap dan memadai, ini didukung oleh suasana kehidupan pondok pesan­tren yang penuh kesederhanaan dan kebersahajaan dengan pembiasaan menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Kedua, kurikulum yang berbasis tafaqquh fi-al din yang disusun oleh pondok pesantren ini menempati derajat yang sama (equal) dengan kurikulum yang disusun Kementerian Agama, sehinga baik kajian tafaqquh fi al-din maupun pelajaran umum memiliki electabilitas yang tinggi, hal ini mampu meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan sekaligus membangkitkan animo dan motivasi masyarakat (orangtua) untuk memasukkan anaknya ke pesantren ini. Ketiga, penyelenggaraan pendidikan di pon­dok pesantren ini memiliki kemandirian yang kuat, karena didukung oleh sumber dana yang besar.
