Transfer of colorants within the sugar end of a sugar factory has a major influence on sugar quality. Colour components are not only transported downstream from the Aproduct evaporating crystallizers towards the molasses, they are also transported upstream by returning the run-off from the batch centrifugals and by returning dissolved Bsugar and Csugar. If both B and Csugar crystals are dissolved and returned to the standard liquor, the colorants in these sugar crystals will contribute significantly to the quality of the standard liquor. In the Nampa sugar factory (Idaho/USA) and in several other factories, the work of the continuous centrifugals has been monitored and optimized by installing a Neltec online colour measurement (the ColourQ 1700 CC) to indicate the colour of the sugar crystals within the continuous centrifugals. The influence of various parameters such as centrifugal load, water addition and steam addition on the colour of the crystals flowing up the screen has been tested. This article gives a summary of the results achieved during these tests.

Where chromatographic separation of sucrose from molasses produced is employed, the color of the molasses feed to the molasses separator operation has a relatively large effect on the color of the sucrose enriched extract produced from the separation process and, as a result, on the overall efficiency of sugar recovery from the molasses separation process. The subsequent sugar end processing efficiency of the separator sucrose enriched extract product to granulated sugar is quite dependent on the color loading of the extract being processed. This study evaluates the effect of manipulating and controlling the pH value of the A (high green) run-off syrup, B (intermediate) green run-off syrup and final molasses produced to achieve minimal color rise and a low final molasses color from the thick juice processed in the sugar end. The deliberate and precise control of green syrup pH value will produce molasses of the desired color relative to the quality of the beets being processed and the thick juice produced from such beet quality. It is further shown that the color of extract produced is highly dependent on the color of molasses feed to the molasses separation operation.

Bekasi regency as one of the mainstays of agriculture of West Java province is one area that can not escape from the problems of human resource development of agriculture that should get attention by local governments, the private sector and local communities. Many factors that cause deterioration of agriculture in Bekasi Regency, among others; not optimal function of the institution / organization of Agricultural Extension, operational techniques ranging from counseling; extension of distribution, identification of potential areas of extension, aspects of planning and implementation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of agricultural extension in Bekasi based aspects of the functions of institutions / organizations and operational technical extension further identify potential areas of agricultural extension. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, ie by observation, interviews and observations documents. The results showed that: (1) Institutions / organizations that form the Executive Agency of Agricultural Extension as an institution is still limited motion in terms of both quantity and quality of personnel, bergaining institutions still sometimes overlaps with the Department of Agriculture. (2) There are still required the addition and improvement of facilities / infrastructure of agricultural extension services so as to improve the quantity and quality of the target areas. (3) Implementation of outreach are still many obstacles execution as their major influence on the political Pilkades, information outreach activities that still have not been absorbed by the farmer that still few farmers who take part in counseling, technology transfer and transfer of regeneration as a target of the main actors, and the synergy between the authorities village extension workers are not optimal.

Air quality is related to the using of solid fuel based heat sources in which the human factor has a major influence on the quality of combustion, which can lead to higher emissions into the air. One of the negative factors is the use of alternative fuels in heat sources. The article deals with the combustion of various alternative fuels, on a waste basis, in small heat sources. There were tested 4 types of fuels: beech wood pieces, 2 types of solid alternative fuel on the base of municipal waste and wood waste. In the experiment, it was tested the influence of used fuel in the fireplace on the heat output, efficiency, production of gaseous emissions and particulate matter. The results confirmed that combustion of fuels not recommended by the heat source manufacturer reduces the efficiency of combustion and significantly increases all monitored emissions.

The quality of wastewater sugar factory produced will affect the environmental health quality around the factory. The study aimed to analyze the quality of water river and the quality of wells around the Rejo Agung Baru sugar factory in the Madiun. This study is an descriptive observational. The samples comprised of 5 sampels of water rivers and 7 samples of well water. The results of the study at the quality of water river showed that there are parameters (BOD5 and temperature) unqualified with the quality standards based on the East Java Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2008 about Water Quality Management and Water Pollution Control in the East Java, the quality of water river is also affected by the waste water, trash, agricultural waste, and other pollutants. The result of measuring the quality of water well showed that there are parameters (organic substance) unqualified with quality standards based on Permenkes No: 416/Menkes/PER/ IX/1990 about the Terms and Water Quality Monitoring, the quality of Well water is also affected by the quality of water river, a distance of toilet, domestic wastewater and other pollutants. The quality of water river and the quality of well water have decreased that required supervision on the quality of a river water and the quality of water of a well.

Abstract - The relationship between the school and the community is very influential in improving the behavior of students. Public relations as a liaison from the school and the community must always be maintained properly because the school will always be associated with the community, cannot be separated from it as a school partner in achieving the success of the school itself. The high participation of parents in school education is one of the characteristics of good school management, meaning that the extent to which the community can be empowered in the education process in schools is an indicator of the management of the school in question. Community empowerment in education is needed especially to support the implementation of good schools. The level of community participation in the education process in this school seems to have a major influence on the progress of the school, the quality of learning services in schools which will ultimately affect the progress and learning achievement of children in school.

Starting point of this paper is photopolymer printing plate used for flexographic printing. It is used for transfer of the printing ink onto the printing surface during the reproduction process. Photopolymer printing plate consists of several layers: polyester basis, photo sensitive polymer material and LAMS - Laser Ablation Mask. In the platemaking process the photosensitive material, which will form a printing plate, has to be several time exposed to different radiation in order to obtain a functional printability performance. LAMS layer has a role of masking in the exposure process. Upon pre-exposure, LAMS layer has to be removed by laser ablation only at the surfaces where photopolymer printing plate needs to be exposed. After ablation the exposures to UV lights follows and the plate will be finished with chemical removal of the unexposed parts of the polymer. Functionality of the finished printing plate has to be characterised and monitored in every procedure step because the formed image element on the printing plate has a major influence on the quality of the finished printed product. In this paper observing of the changes in the polymer material which is caused by exposure through LAMS layer will be performed. The aim is to measure the surface openings on the LAMS mask and to measure surface coverage (image elements) on the polymer material formed by exposure through the LAMS. Measuring will be made by image analysis software based on microscopic images of the control fields of differing halftone values. It is assumed that there will be a correlation between the LAMS openings and formed image elements on the printing plates. Preliminary results indicate that certain differences in image elements can be detected and are probably the consequence of the different amount of irradiated surface of the polymer material. Since the polymer material which forms the printing plate should be stable in the graphic reproduction process, results of the paper will explain the influence of UV exposures on polymerisation process and on the functional printability performance of the plates.

Abstract The precision of gears has a major influence on the quality of the transmission. If the gear cannot be finished by grinding, the precision of the generating tool becomes essential. Archimedean spiral toothline cylindrical gears are obtained by reciprocate meshing using a milling cutter built up by individual cutters, organized in groups. The profiles of edges must be realized with a minimal profile error. In order to ensure the quality and the precision of the meshed tooth surface, and also the profile constancy after re-sharpening, relief faces must be realized by a grinding relieving operation. A secondary effect of the kinematics of relieving end the spatial extent of the grinding wheel a post undercut results and this produces an inevitable profile error. The present paper discusses a possible grinding wheel setting that produces a maximum theoretical profile error under 1μm along the whole re-sharpening reserve of the cutter. The proposed setting can be realized on a classical relieving lathe.
