Education is very important research subject in the field of economy. It is a major determinant of economic development and a central factor to human capital capacity-building. It is very common that the studies which focus on the examine the relationship between educational inputs and outputs generally analyze this relationship by Educational Production Function which connects a variety of input types to a given output. Following to this function, the aim of this study is to give a better understanding of the PISA-participating Asian countries’ success analysing the importance of the economic/socio-economic and educational factors on the quality of education, using Panel Data methods. These economic and non-economic variables give us a good mix of data to regress upon and make our determinations about the relationship between educational output and inputs. Since the quality of education is measured by student’s average performance on standardized international test, we focus on the PISA-based test scores in the study. PISA was developed by OECD in order to determine how efficiently the students at the 15 year-old age group are educated and trained. It was first performed in 2000 and then repeated every three years. Its aim is to provide comparable data with a view to enabling countries to improve their education policies and outcomes. In general, the implication of these findings can serve as a guideline for teachers, politicians, governments and give a light to educational policies and methodologies which help countries improve their quality on education.

The issue of declining quality of education in Nigeria is of serious national concern and quality language education is not an exception. A wide range of factors have been pointed out by experts as being responsible for this situation. Our purpose in this paper is to discuss possible ways of improving on the quality of language education being that the quality of an educational system cannot transcend that of the teachers. The paper contends that for quality language education to be provided, the teacher must be effective; he must be well grounded in both language and literature to effectively impart quality language education. The paper examines the interwoven relationship between language and literature and postulates that merely having many years of classroom experience does not automatically make one an effective teacher. It also discusses several other methods that could be adopted in teaching so as to improve on the quality of language education being provided. The paper concludes that the delicate relationship between language, literature and effective teaching must be sufficiently appreciated by the language teacher in order for the objectives of language course to be attained.

Relationship between expenses associated with the Preferential School Grant (SEP) Law and SIMCE results in subsidized primary schools in 2014 ABSTRACT Achieving a quality and equitable education, as stated in our legislation, is necessary for all students have access and are able to obtain expected levels of achievement in learning, which is more complex in schools with high levels of vulnerability. The Quality of education depends on the quality of teachers. For nourishing the creative potentials of children, creative teaching is required. In this type of education, the available human and material resources are utilized in such a striking way that satisfactory results are ensured. Teachers using such methods can enhance their teaching competency. In the present study, an attempt is made to investigate the relationship between general teaching competency and the attitude towards creative teaching. The study was carried out on a sample of 120 B.Ed. trainees of Aurangabad City. The data was collected through the General Teaching Competency Scale (GTCS) developed by Passi and Lalitha and the Attitude Scale of Creative Teaching (ASCT) by Shukla. The development of education and science is a priority for Russian state policy. Global trends define the main goals of the Russian higher school modernization. However, these also identify the need to overcome a number of contradictions in Russia’s national higher-education system. Pedagogical, or teacher-training, education is of special importance in the development of the entire educational system in the country. Quality education at all steps – preschool, primary, secondary (general and professional) and higher – depends mainly on the quality of pedagogical education. The modern market of educational services recognizes high quality of education and competences of students as the only advantage point for an academic institution over its competitors. Quality is the only universal commodity in the world market that increases the value of all other goods and services. The authors refer to the category of quality management in relation to higher pedagogical education, and describe the key principles of the system of quality assurance applied at Southern Federal University.
