Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mentetahui karakteristik SMA dan SMK di Medan. Karakteristik yang diteliti adalah: neuroticism, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan hati nurani. Dengan penelitian ini kita mendapatkan data perbedaan karakter di SMA dan SMK siswa. Mendapatkan perbedaan karakter antara pria dan wanita dalam setiap kelompok sekolah. Penelitian ini di SMA dan SMK di Medan, 2008. Sampel penelitian 600 siswa. Metode Penelitian kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Kuesioner dicoba dengan nilai koefisien reliabilitas (r=0,875). Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Karakteristik siswa SMA (Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan hati nurani) sudah cukup dan kategori tinggi, (2) Karakteristik siswa SMK (Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan hati nurani) cukup tinggi dan kategori; (3) Para siswa perempuan SMA lebih tinggi hati nurani daripada siswa laki-laki; (4) Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, dan keramahan antara siswa laki-laki secara signifikan tidak berbeda dengan siswa perempuan di SMA; (5) Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan conscientiousness antara mahasiswa laki-laki secara signifikan tidak berbeda dengan siswa perempuan di SMK.   Kata kunci : karakteristik siswa, SMA, SMK.   Abstract: This research was aimed to: investigate the Senior High School Studen’t Characteristic in Medan. The characteristic which investigated are: neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. By this research we can get the accurate data that describe the differences of characters in SMA and SMK students. And then we can get the differences of characters among the male and female in each group of school. This research was taking place in SMA and SMK in Medan, 2008. The sample of this research is 600 pupils. The research was taken in the quantitative method. The data that we have got from the questioner. Questioner has been tried with the value of reliability coefficient (r=0,875). The results of the research are: (1) The SMA Studen’t Characteristic in Medan (Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) is enough and high categories; (2) The SMK Student Characteristic in Medan (Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) is enough and high categories; (3) The female SMA students are more conscientiousness than male students; (4) Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, and agreeableness between male students significantly is not different with female students in SMA; (5) Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness between male students significantly is not different with female students in SMK. <p class="apa">The main purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a training program based on the six hats model in developing creative thinking skills and academic achievements in the Arabic language for gifted and talented Jordanian students.</p><p class="apa">The study sample consisted of 59 gifted male and female students of the 7<sup>th</sup> grade from King Abdullah II Elite School at the Directorate of Education in Salt City, Jordan. The sample was carefully chosen from students enrolled in the academic year 2014 and were divided randomly into two groups: an experimental group of 27 male and female students and a controlling group of 32 male and female students.</p><p class="apa">For the purpose of this study, a training program was developed based on the Six Hats Model that tackled chapter 11 and 12 of the Arabic language syllabus of the seventh grade. Both groups had been given Torrance’s B Test for creative thinking that the authors of this research developed for the Arabic Test to the gifted and talented students with the required factors of reliability and consistency. Statistical tools and analysis on obtained data were applied including the analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA).</p><p class="apa">The outcome of this research showed discrepancies of statistical significance (α =&lt; 0.05) among the skills and measurements of the achievement test in favor of the experimental group. In view of the outcomes of this study, the authors strongly recommend that teachers and educators should be rehabilitated and trained to use and apply the latest educational methods and techniques such as: Alcort program, creative solutions of problems and obstacles, critical thinking, brainstorming, and to refrain from the conventional old methods used which commonly focuses on information storage and retaining crammed data, regardless of the active participation of students.</p>

This study investigated the predictive ability of emotional creativity (EC) in creative performance (CP). The sample consisted of 297 male and female students from literary, educational, and administrative specializations. EC was assessed by Averill’s Emotional Creativity Inventory that includes three dimensions: preparedness, novelty, and effectiveness. Mednick’s Remote Associates Test was used to assess CP. Results revealed that the three dimensions of EC predicted CP. Statistically significant differences in EC were found in favor of female students and students from literary and educational specializations, whereas no significant differences were found by cumulative grade. Nevertheless, statistically significant differences in CP by cumulative grade were found in favor of students with high grades. No statistically significant differences in CP by gender and specialization were found. It was recommended based on the results that the three dimensions of EC be integrated in programs seeking to enhance students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract Students need creative thinking skills, critical thinking, collaborative, and communicative in the 21st century in learning physics. In predicting further research, it is necessary to analyze the initial ability of students’ creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the profile of physics learning on the students’ creative thinking skill of high school students’ on global warming material and analyze the differences in students’ creative thinking abilities based on gender. Research method uses 100 samples of class eleventh grade in senior high school students’. Profiles of creative thinking skills of senior high school students’ on global warming were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the physics learning profile of students’ creative thinking skills on global warming material was relatively low, and there was a significant difference between the results of male and female students’ creative thinking skills. The results of this study can be used as empirical evidence that the creative thinking skills of high school students’ physics learning on global warming material still need to be improved. Further research is needed to overcome the low creative thinking skills of high school students’.

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of CTL-based worksheets for class XI at Senior High School. The method used in this research is the method of development. The initial stage is an analysis of the teaching materials used by teachers at school. Before being tested on class XI students, the worksheets were validated by experts as well as physics teachers and students at Senior High School 1 Gunung Tuleh. After being validated, improvements were made according to the suggestions given. The average results of the validation of learning experts, physicists, and linguists were 0.77, 0.90, and 0.81 from all aspects. The practical value of teachers and students is 79.68 and 87.43 with the valid category. After testing the validity and practicality of the physics learning videos, the results of the effectiveness test of the learning videos were obtained to measure students' critical and creative thinking skills. The average N-gain values are 0.22 and 0.26. With the overall results obtained, it can be concluded that the contextual-based worksheets that have been developed are suitable for use in learning activities

Pembelajaran matematika tidak hanya sekedar pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung tetapi pembelajaran yang mengembangkan kemampuan berfikir matematika secara logis, sesuai dengan konsep matematika yang sistematis dengan melibatkan lingkungan siswa. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan komunikasi merupakan dua aspek kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik disamping keterampilan afektif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem-based learning) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 50 siswa SMA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan pre-test dan post-test serta pemberian angket. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan rubrik berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis, kemudian diolah lebih lanjut dengan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa lebih baik daripada pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa strategi pembelajaran memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan kreativitas dan komunikasi matematis siswa.

The very rapid development of technology is slowly appearing in the world of education. Educational games are a form of multimedia that packages learning programs in the form of games, so besides being games, they are also educational. The use of game education technology as an interactive learning medium is one of the right ways to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. This educational game is expected to eliminate the feeling of boredom and fear of learning mathematics and can facilitate the learning process on geometry material for Senior High School (SMA)/Islamic Senior High School (MA). This study aims to develop an Android-based educational game that can be operated on various smartphones with the Android operating system and to test the feasibility of using adventure games as a medium for learning geometry. This game can be used as an alternative medium for learning geometry in changing conventional learning methods to learning game simulations, so as to improve students' mathematical creative thinking abilities, because in educational games it has elements of challenge, accuracy, reasoning and ethics. The methodology used in this research is the research development method or Research and Development (R & D) using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model with the following activity stages: (1) Analysis, gathering information; (2) Design, designing multimedia-based animation media and validating media designs; (3) Development, improvement of media design; (4) Implementation, media testing; (5) Evaluation, product revision.
