Dengue is an infectious disease caused by a virus Flaviirus genus, transmitted by a vector, the Aedes aegypti. The aim of this study was promote an epidemiological study to identify the incidence of dengue cases reported in the city of Ceres, Goiás. Study was conducted epidemiological, descriptive, ecological type, cross-sectional, quantitative, accomplished by the data collection of the number of reported and confirmed cases of dengue, in the 2012 period to 2015, provided by municipal surveillance in the city of  Ceres, Goiás, and the site of the Goiás State Department of Health. Between 2012 to 2015 were reported 4556 dengue cases in the municipality of Ceres, and of these, 45.96% were confirmed by serological tests. Of the total cases reported during this period (n = 4.566), 50.53% (2.290) are the only cases reported in 2015. The incidence rate of the disease in 2015, in Ceres, was 11.051 cases / 100.000 inhabitants, values surpass the previous years (2012-2014). This result demonstrates the high burden of disease in the population of this municipality in 2015. The data also suggest the addition of a new serotype in the region. This increase of the risk of dengue hemorrhagic fever, which characterized as a complication of classic disease, however, data for cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever were not available. There was a considerable increase in the number of dengue cases in 2015 compared to previous years, 2012 to 2014. This growth suggests that serological studies focusing on serotypes detection should be conduct on region. KEY WORDS: Aedes aegypti; serogroup; epidemics.

Abstract Commercial insecticides in Asia are used to control insects including mosquitoes, which are about 28-89% in endemic areas of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). West Sulawesi Province is one of the dengue endemic areas in Indonesia. The study is a part of multicenter research “Map of Aedes aegypti Mosquito susceptibility Against Insecticides in Indonesia in 2015”. This study aims to the describe the use of commercial insecticides in three endemic districts of West Sulawesi using a cross-sectional design. Data obtained through interviews and observations conducted in July-August 2015 at least 100 homes which were randomly selected in each RW/RT. Data were analyzed descriptively to describe the use of insecticides, types of formulations, types of active ingredients, and the duration of use. The study found that 85% of respondents used commercial insecticides. Most of the respondents chose to use mosquitoes coil (83.5%), the most active ingredients found were D-allethrin (43.8%) and Dimefluthrin (30.4). Most respondents (45.8%) have been using commercial insecticides for more than five years and more dominant to apply at night (79.1%). The government needs to control the use of insecticides in the community so that there is no DHF vector resistance to insecticides used in DHF control programs. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the public health problems that occurs in Indonesia with the number of sufferers that continues to increase and the wider spread in line with increasing mobility and population density. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus and spread by mosquitoes, especially the Aedes Aegypti mosquito species. In 2016 Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a problem in Ponorogo Regency. Besides having the potential to cause Extraordinary Events (KLB), for the past nine years, Ponorogo Regency has become an Endemic District. According to data from the recapitulation of dengue cases in the Department of Health The high number of dengue cases in Ponorogo in 2019 were 17 sub-districts affected by dengue, with a total of 973 patients and 9 deaths. The high number of dengue fever is caused by an unstable climate and quite a lot of rainfall in the rainy season which is a potential breeding facility for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Besides that, it is also supported by the non-maximum activities in eradicating mosquito nests (PSN) in the community, causing an Extraordinary Event (KLB). Issues regarding how the implementation of the Ponorogo Regency government policy in determining the status of Extraordinary Events (KLB) outbreaks of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Research on the implementation of the Ponorogo district government policy in determining the status of Extraordinary Events (KLB) outbreaks of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Ponorogo Regency using descriptive qualitative research methods with purposive sampling technique. The implementation of the policy in determining the DBD KLB so far can be said to be going well, this can be seen from the implementation in the field and the officers who are always on alert with the case.

A. aegypti is known as the main vector of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or better known as the acronym of DHF is an infectious disease caused by Dengue virus and transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Sidoarjo as part of East Java Province is also an endemic area of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever because in every year there is many cases of DHF. Containers are stuffs s used to accommodate water for household use, where this container can be used as a place for mosquitoes to breed. So, it can appear mosquito larva which then develops into adult mosquitoes which is a vector of DBD disease. Judging from the location of the container can be divided into indoor containers are containers that are contained in the part of the house that is covered by a roof and outdoor containers are containers that are located in the part of the house that is not covered by the roof. This research is conducted to find out if there is a relationship between distribution and frequency of Indoor and Outdoor Containers with the numbers of DBD in the endemic areas of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever in Tambak Cemandi Village, Sedati t, Sidoarjo. This method of research is analytical observation with cross-sectional design. The samples in this study are indoor containers, outdoor containers ,all residence and all the larvae of Aedes aegypti which are located in those taken from 100 house of respondents located in the village of Tambak Cemandi, Sedati District, Sidoarjo Regency. The result were found 183 containers obtained from 100 houses of respondents, consisting of 156 indoor containers and 25 outdoor containers. From 156 indoor containers were found 1611 Aedes aegypti larvae and from 25 outdoor containers were found 168 Aedes aegypti larvae. From 100 residence, who have got DBD as much as 16 people and who never got DBD as much as 84 people. Using Contingency Coefficient test obtained result P = 0432 (P < α = 0.05), meaning that there is no relationship between a relationship between distribution and frequency of Indoor and Outdoor Containers with the numbers of DBD in the endemic areas of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever in Tambak Cemandi Village, Sedati, Sidoarjo.

Background Dengue shock syndrome (DSS) mortality is still high.Monitoring of blood lactate level is important to evaluate shock. Objectives The study were to review the difference between bloodlactate level of DSS and that of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF),to correlate blood lactate level with hypoxia state as shock riskfactors (PaO 2 , oxygen saturation, and anion gap) and to determinethe cut-off point of blood lactate level to predict shock. Methods The study was carried out at the Department of ChildHealth, Medical School, University of Indonesia, CiptoMangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, from January until July 2006.Three mL venous blood specimen was collected from all subjectsfor peripheral blood, blood gasses, serology, and blood lactateexaminations. This study consisted of a retrospective cohort anda cross sectional method. Data were analyzed with Chi-squaretest. Continous data tested using Mann-Whitney method. Toknow the correlation between blood lactate level and shock riskfactors we use logistic regression test. Results In DSS group, 73% shows hyperlactatemia (lactate =2mmol/L). Conversion of lactate means between two groups issignificantly different from day one to day two and three. Therewas a negative correlation between lactate level and pO 2 andoxygen saturation. Oxygen saturation is the only value that hasclinical correlation. Regressions analysis can be applied using Y= 7.05–0.05 X equation. The cut-off point of lactate level asmarker for shock by using ROC curve is 32.015 mmol/L with 70%sensitivity and 83.3% specificity. Conclusions Hyperlactatemia in DSS can be considered as a signfor unappropriate treatment of shock. Blood lactate level can beused as a biochemical marker for tissue hypoxia, to assess severityof the disease, as monitoring of treatment, and has prognosticvalue of DHF cases.

ABSTRACT Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a global health problem and can be transmitted through vectors, namely Aedes aegypti. One of the controls can be through lethal ovitrap combined with attractant. This study aims to compare the percentage of trapped eggs, the number of eggs hatched, and larval mortality in the lethal ovitrap that were given two additional types of attractants. The insecticides used were temephos, while the attractants used were 20% straw soaking water, and water that Ae. aegypti have used to lay eggs. The type of research is an experiment with a completely randomized design. The sample used was female mosquito of Ae. aegypti that is full of blood from laboratory colonization. The results showed that straw soaking water was more influential attractant than the former Ae. aegypti colonization water in attracting Ae. aegypti mosquitoes to lay eggs. The highest larval mortality was found in a combination of lethal ovitrap with straw soaking water. Statistically there is an influence of the type of attractant on hatchability and the development of Ae. aegypti into adult mosquitoes. The combination of lethal ovitrap and attractant of straw soaking water can be an alternative control strategy for DHF program managers to reduce the density of Ae. aegypti mosquitoes and minimize transmission of dengue hemorrhagic fever in an area. Keywords: Aedes aegypti, attractant, lethal ovitrap, straw soaking water   ABSTRAK Demam berdarah dengue merupakan masalah kesehatan global dan dapat ditularkan melalui vektor yaitu Aedes aegypti.
