Based on inter-correlation and permeability among disciplines, the author makes an attempt to apply the information science to cognitive linguistics to provide a new perspective for the study of foreign languages. The correlation between self-efficacy and such four factors as anxiety, learning strategies, motivation and learners’ past achievement is analyzed by means of data mining and the extent to which the above factors affect self-efficacy in language learning is explored in this paper. The paper employs the decision tree algorithm in SPSS Clementine. C5.0 decision tree algorithm is adopted to analyze data in the study. The results are elicited from the researches carried out in this paper. The increased anxiety is bound to weaken learners’ motivation over time. It is obvious that learners have low self-efficacy. It is very important to employ strategies in foreign language learning. Ignorance of using learning strategies may result in unplanned learning with unsatisfactory achievements in spite of more efforts involved. Self-efficacy in foreign language learning may be weakened accordingly. Learners’ past achievement is a reference dimension in measuring self-efficacy with weaker influence.

The article represents an effort to specify the essential characteristics of the relationship between the intentionality of consciousness, language and culture, and on this basis to reveal the features of the process of foreign language teaching. The author considers intentionality as a phenomenon that defines and provides the content of consciousness, allowing one to commit an act of self-determination and gaining subjectivity. In the activity of consciousness, the author distinguishes intentional flows of both relatively objects and subjects, which is a prerequisite for comprehending another I, a different cultural entity, and at the same time a condition for self-knowledge and deeper penetration into one’s own culture.Culture is a complex semiotic text, it is a context in which the language being studied as a secondary modeling system acts as a means where various phenomena can be sequentially described and interpreted by students. The openness of the subject to the world, nurtured in the course of intentional teaching of language and culture, allows its utter uniqueness, and at the same time utmost universality, to manifest itself. Such an attitude actualizes the internal regularity of human actions, the possibility of self-development and the formation of a system of deferred actions, which allows a person to realize, take place, actualizes the intentional field of his capabilities. The author comes to the conclusion that the process of foreign language teaching should be interpretative, significative, semiotic in nature. Taking into account during teaching а foreign language the intentional conditioning of any action, including speech, will ensure the achievement of a coordinated consciousness.

Partition methods for real data play an extremely important role in decision tree algorithms in data mining and machine learning because the decision tree algorithms require that the values of attributes are discrete. In this paper, we propose a novel partition method for real data in decision tree using statistical criterion. This method constructs a statistical criterion to find accurate merging intervals. In addition, we present a heuristic partition algorithm to achieve a desired partition result with the aim to improve the performance of decision tree algorithms. Empirical experiments on UCI real data show that the new algorithm generates a better partition scheme that improves the classification accuracy of C4.5 decision tree than existing algorithms.

The issue of the development of civic consciousness of student youth is of considerable interest both for teachers of the Humanities in general and for teachers-researchers in particular. The article examines the problem of civic education among modern students in the process of studying at universities against the background of increasingly complex socio-political environment. The author analyzes the environment in which the development of civic traits of students takes place today, defines the socio-pedagogical features of their character and identifies possible causes of problems in the process of civic consciousness development at the institutions of higher education. The article considers various approaches to the definition of the concept of citizenship in modern pedagogical research and highlights its main structural components. Besides, it justifies the priority areas in which the process of educating a citizen should take place and emphasizes the demand to create conditions for the development of personal motives, interests and needs. The possibility to use the study of foreign languages in combination with various disciplines of the humanities for the purpose of developing civic traits of the individual is shown. The author also seeks to focus on the most effective forms of pedagogical influence on students in order to develop their civic consciousness during their studies at universities through the learning of foreign languages. Considerable attention is paid to various forms of extracurricular activities with students using the foreign language they are studying, which can influence very effectively over the formation of a solid citizen in today’s environment.

The purposes are to manage human resource data better and explore the association between Human Resource Management (HRM), data mining, and economic management. An Ensemble Classifier-Decision Tree (EC-DT) algorithm is proposed based on the single decision tree algorithm to analyze HRM data. The involved single decision tree algorithms include C4.5, Random Tree, J48, and SimpleCart. Then, an HRM system is established based on the designed algorithm, and the evaluation management and talent recommendation modules are tested. Finally, the designed algorithm is compared and tested. Experimental results suggest that C4.5 provides the highest classification accuracy among the single decision tree algorithms, reaching 76.69%; in contrast, the designed EC-DT algorithm can provide a classification accuracy of 79.97%. The proposed EC-DT algorithm is compared with the Content-based Recommendation Method (CRM) and the Collaborative Filtering Recommendation Method (CFRM), revealing that its Data Mining Recommendation Method (DMRM) can provide the highest accuracy and recall, reaching 35.2% and 41.6%, respectively. Therefore, the data mining-based HRM system can promote and guide enterprises to develop according to quantitative evaluation results. The above results can provide a reference for studying HRM systems based on data mining technology.

Abstract Introduction. The article is devoted to the problems of the foreign language learning at a technical university. The theoretical importance of the research is in the analysis of the existing language learning system at a technical university in light of a modern engineer’s professional activity model’s change. Grounding of certain corrections in the language learning system also provides the theoretical importance of the research. The practical importance of our research is in the modification of the existing language learning system based on the environmental and activity approaches. Materials and Methods. While carrying out the research we used a complex of methods; that is: literature analysis, empiric and praxymetric methods, and a modeling method. Results. 4 main types of an engineer’s professional activity are defined in the engineer’s activity model. These types correspond to the main activity types by M.S. Kagan’s concept – value-motivating, cognitive, reorganizing and communicative activities. An engineer’s activity results analysis led to discovering new features in the engineer’s personality structure lying in the communicative competence role increase. It was also found out that successfulness becomes a link between value-motivating and communicative activities. Consequently, we have made a conclusion on the increasing demands to the students’, masters’, post-graduates’ and academic researches’ language proficiency. Foreign language proficiency should provide for the ability to participate in the international conferences, to attend foreign professors’ lectures, and to take part in the students’ exchange programs. All of the above presupposes rather high foreign language proficiency and requires a foreign language learning system creation. The authors analyzed language learning courses at a technical university and carried out a post-graduates’ survey. As a result, lack of syllabuses being able to fill in the gaps in language proficiency and to support speech skills was found out. Basing on the conclusions mentioned above an extra multi-purpose and multi-level structure syllabus was worked out. This syllabus allowed to solve the existing programs, to increase foreign language learning and general learning motivation, to create conditions for self-development and self-realization in the professional activity. The article also describes in detail a foreign language learning system developed by the Department of Foreign Languages and Russian as a Second Language in the general learning environment of a technical university, which acquires for the modernization and reaching the education level corresponding to the leading universities’ level. Conclusion. The learning environment created by the Department of Foreign Languages and Russian as a Second Language of Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolyov and including a compulsory language learning system and a system of extra language learning courses provides for the students’ individual needs in foreign language proficiency satisfaction at various levels. It also provides for their intellectual and moral self-development.

The ability to speak English or speaking skills is one aspect of learning a language. There are various things that can be done to develop students' speaking skills, one of which is visiting foreigners conducted by SMK N 1 Banyudono in the English Conversation Club extracurricular activities. This is done so that students get a provision for communication in English so that when students graduate from school as graduates of vocational school students have provision of communication skills both in the native language and English as a foreign language. After this activity is carried out, a follow-up activity will be held, where students make reports and presentations about the conversations they have had so that students can evaluate the activities that have been carried out. Furthermore, this activity is considered quite important and must be continued in addition to developing speaking skills, this activity can also develop students' confidence.
