Female urethral stricture is an underdiagnosed and overlooked cause of female bladder outlet obstruction. It is uncommon and difficult to diagnose. The possible etiologies may be infection, prior dilation, difficult catheterization with subsequent fibrosis, urethral surgery, trauma or idiopathic. Currently, only a small amount of literature has reported the successful treatment of female urethral stricture using a reconstruction approach. In this study we describe our results with the management of female urethral stricture using a dorsal vaginal graft. Four patients were diagnosed with female urethral stricture and were treated with urethral reconstruction using a dorsal vaginal graft. Primary urethroplasty using dorsal vaginal graft can be considered as a first-line option in the management of female urethral stricture, especially in centers with experience in graft-based reconstruction.

Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp (EPDS) has been reported as a rare chronic and progressive non-infectious inflammatory condition of the actinically damaged scalp characterized by crusts, erosions and pustules. It tends to occur on the scalp of older people who have usually been treated for diffuse actinic damage and actinic keratoses. The list of possible differential diagnosis is long and includes tinea capitis, folliculitis decalvans, neutrophilic dermatosis, autoimmune vesiculobullous disorders, malignancy etc. Notoriously difficult to treat, these cases tend to be chronic and progressive. These patients often present after repeated treatment to various scalp dermatosis that doesn’t result in clearing instead persistence and perpetuation of the process. A cross sectional prospective study was conducted in department of dermatology in a tertiary care centre in which six cases of EPDS attending outpatient department from 2017 to 2019 were included. EPDS is more common but under recognized condition, hence less cases are reported till date. Increased awareness of and proper diagnosis of this condition changes the approach towards these patients, protects the scalp from involuntary insults and other precipitating factors that hinders with a better outcome.

Nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections are on the rise. They often cause skin diseases that are misdiagnosed. Two cases of Mycobacterium chelonae infection in immunocompetent patients were presented. First case showed infection of cutaneous and subcutaneous tissue without any preceeding history of skin injury by any intervention like trauma or injection, which was a rare manifestation. The second case showed M chelonae infection as a port site infection in a non healing ulcer. The history and clinical presentation of both the cases were documented. Treatment was also reported with subsequent output during further follow ups. Here both the cases showed resistance to commonly used amtimicrobial agents which increased the suspicion of nontuberculous mycobacterial infection among clinicians and microbiologist and made the diagnosis easier.

Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly which usually presents with gastrointestinal symptoms early in life. In adults mostly it remains asymptomatic or may present with abdominal or features of duodenal obstruction the increased diagnosis of which is attributed to the improved imaging modalities. We hereby report our experience of adult annular pancreas in whom clinical presentation initially mimicked gastric or duodenal outlet obstruction. Adult annular pancreas was diagnosed with the aid of computed tomography of the abdomen and treated successfully with Roux-en-Y isoperistaltic gastrojejunostomy.
