ABSTRACTEcosystem services are goods produced by ecosystems that are used by society to maintain their quality of life. Given the current scenario on the impacts that ecosystems suffer, this issue has gained relevance, as they may elucidate the population on the importance of natural well-being. Like the Caatinga, the third most degraded biome in Brazilian territory. In view of this fact, the objective of this work was to identify the ecosystem services provided by the Caatinga micro-region of western Seridó / RN, following the Common International Classification of Ecosystem Services CICES. As a result, a number of provision services were identified in the inspected classes. There were examples in the biomass, energy and water groups, appearing more prominently in the first two, the provision of home remedies and materials derived from Caatinga plants. Wildlife services, in the wild class and their exits, were also identified through the use of hunt. Finally, it is concluded that the identification of ecosystem services has proved to be important, since they provide us with information that can guarantee subsidies for the elaboration of tools that induce the conservation of biodiversity. However, more research on this topic is needed. Keywords: Ecosystem Services; Caatinga; Western Seridó. RESUMENLos servicios ecosistémicos son bienes producidos por ecosistemas que la sociedad utiliza para mantener su calidad de vida. Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic, gradually progressive inflammatory disease characterized by lesions of the sacroiliac joints and / or spine, which can occur with simultaneous lesions of the enthesis and peripheral joints, leading to early disability and a decrease in the quality of life of patients, mainly young age. The international society for evaluation of spondylarthritis (ASAS) recommended a combination of nonpharmacological and pharmacological methods in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with ankylosing spondylitis for the longest possible preservation of the quality of life of patients, which requires a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach.Currently, in many European countries, the international classification of functioning, disability and health (IСF) is used as a universal approach to the assessment of human health. The IСF classifies the different areas of each patient’s life that are health-related and affect health, thus describing changes in their physical functioning and psychological well-being. It helps to introduce multidisciplinary, patient-centered, problem-oriented rehabilitation care into the real work of clinics. The IСF shows a broader and more meaningful picture of the patient’s health, which allows the multidisciplinary team to consider the patient from different perspectives — biological, personal and social. Using the IСF in the process of complex therapy and rehabilitation of patients with ankylosing spondylitis, a multidisciplinary team can achieve a more complete coherence of views in the treatment of patients with ankylosing spondylitis, which is very important in achieving the success of therapy of this category of patients.

Se pueden utilizar los resultados de este estudio para crear estrategias de asesoramiento personal, familiar y escolar cara a la mejora en la calidad de vida y el bienestar personal y social de los niños con dificultades auditivas.ABSTRACTIn order to know the well-being and quality of life (WQoL) of students with cochlear implants (CI) and hearing aids (HA), the KINDLR questionnaire was administered to a sample of 187 CI students and to another sample of 113 students with HA. A modified KINDLR questionnaire was also applied to 156 parents to compare their opinions with those of their children. A one-way multivariate analysis of variance was applied to determine if there were differences between the independent groups (students and their parents) in more than one continuous dependent variable (KINDLR dimensions). In addition, a Kappa index and an intraclass correlation coefficient examined whether there was agreement between the students and their parents by means of assessing variability for WQoL improvement. Students with CI perceived WQoL differently compared to students using HA. There was an agreement between the opinions of both groups of students and the opinions of their parents on the total WQoL. The results of this study can be used to create personal, family and school counseling strategies to improve WQoL of students with hearing difficulties.[1] Se denomina cuestionario KINDLR a la herramienta evaluativa alemana creada por Ravens-Sieber y Bullinger (1998) empleada en español para medir el bienestar y calidad de vida de estudiantes (Kiddy-KINDLR para niños de 4 a 7 años, Kid-KINDLR para niños de 8-11 años,  Kiddo-KINDLR para niños de 12-16 años) y la versión adaptada del cuestionario Kid- & Kiddo-KINDLRpara padres.

<p>In the last decades, the concept of ecosystem services has become important to nature conservation. Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MEA 2005) demonstrated the importance of ecosystems for human well-being and identified the services that ecosystems provide to society. Nevertheless, geodiversity (abiotic nature) as an indispensable component of ecosystems was underestimated (Gray 2011). Based on this, the concepts of "abiotic ecosystem services" or “geosystem services” were defined and discussed (Gordon, Barron 2012, Gray 2013, Van Ree, van Beukering 2016).</p><p>The role of geodiversity in ecosystem services has been already recognized, but in specific cases with problems and ambiguities (Brilha et al. 2018, Gray 2018). Practical applications combining geodiversity research and the concept of abiotic ecosystem services are still rather scarce, but it is evident that the wider use of this concept can provide a framework for (geo)conservation activities, sustainable use of resources or educational and tourist activities. The application of the abiotic ecosystem services concept can also enable better communication with policymakers and facilitate the “infiltration” of geodiversity’s importance into care plans for protected sites, regional strategic documents or legislation and policies (Brilha et al. 2018, Schrodt et al. 2019).</p><p>Abiotic ecosystem services are already included in the Common International Classification of Ecosystem Services (European Environmental Agency 2018). Nevertheless, there are still several methodological questions regarding the possible practical application.</p><p>The case study is focused on the assessment of abiotic ecosystem services at Stránská skála Rock in Brno (Czech Republic). It is a site protected by law (National Natural Monument since 1978) and currently, a new care plan is prepared. The ecosystem services concept is used to assess the abiotic components of the site (limestone outcrops, abandoned quarries, cave systems). Two approaches are applied (Gray 2013 and European Environmental Agency 2018) and their suitability or ambiguities are discussed. Based on the application of the concepts, the value of geodiversity can be fully recognized and the management of the site thus can be more effective.</p><p> </p><p>References:</p><p>Brilha J et al. Excessive training loads during sports cause chronic functional overload of the joints and their trauma, which reduces the quality of life of athletes, limits activity and participation, termination of sports careers, and in severe cases - disability. In sports practice, one of the most common sites of osteoarthritis is the knee joints (gonarthrosis). Gonarthrosis of the knee joint is a degenerative-dystrophic disease in which the destruction of hyaline cartilage, deformation of bone tissue and the qualitative composition of synovial fluid. A key link in the development of an individual program of rehabilitation intervention is the formulation of a rehabilitation diagnosis. The aim of the research: to determine the rehabilitation diagnosis of patients with gonarthrosis of the knee joints on the basis of the International Classification of Functioning, Restriction of Life and Health (ICF). Materials and methods: theoretical (analysis and generalization of scientific-methodical and clinical literature); clinical (analysis of medical records, communication, palpation, clinical and functional testing; physical examination); scale methods for assessing the condition of patients (Leken index, pain scale, depression scale (CES-D), assessment of quality of life according to the SF-36 questionnaire); instrumental (goniometry, manual-muscular testing). The research involved 7 veteran athletes aged 45 to 49 years with primary gonarthrosis stage II. Inclusion criteria: current athletes - men of different specializations; primary gonarthrosis of the second radiological stage according to Kellgren; duration of pain not less than 4 months; the level of pain when walking on the scale of YOUR 45 and more; age of patients older than 45 years; informational consent of patients to participate in the research. Inclusion criteria: secondary gonarthrosis of the knee joint; the presence of comorbidities; severe condition of the patient; knee surgery; planning of arthroplasty of the knee joint; intra-articular injections; lack of information consent. Rehabilitation diagnosis is the most complete reflection of the patient's current problems, which affect the level of his functioning, activity and participation, and are significant for him. It is established by all members of the multidisciplinary team, and is based on the results of comprehensive rehabilitation diagnostics. The main tool for establishing a rehabilitation diagnosis are the categories and domains of IFF. Rehabilitation diagnosis of patients with gonarthrosis: moderate structural changes in the knee joints (s750.2), episodic moderate pain (b28014.2), short-term morning stiffness (b7800.2), decreased mobility of the knee joint (b710.2), his stability (b7150.2) and support function, decrease in muscle tone (b7350.2) and strength of the quadriceps femoris (b7300.2), which limits domestic activity and prolongs it over time (d450.1); difficulties in changing body position (d410.2), moving up stairs and moving long distances (d460.3), which limits participation in active forms of recreation. Patients report poor mood, depression due to health and forced restriction of participation (b152. 1), and concerns about future careers. Conclusions. Rehabilitation care is provided to patients in several stages, one of which is the formulation of a rehabilitation diagnosis. Rehabilitation diagnosis was established, in which the current problems of patients at the level of structure and function, activity and participation, as well as contextual factors that contribute, limit or prevent the achievement of the desired level of functional independence, allow individualization of rehabilitation intervention to bring this level to the maximum possible.

The quality of working life became an important topic in the 1960s and 1970s, helping to stimulate an early approach to evidence-based policy advocacy drawing on interdisciplinary research by social scientists. Over the years it fell out of the limelight but much relevant, albeit fragmented, research has continued. We present a case for rekindling an integrated and normative approach to quality of working life research as one means of promoting workers’ well-being and emancipation. We outline an updated classification of the characteristics of quality of working life and a related analytic framework. We illustrate how research and practice will benefit from following this renewed quality of working life framework, using work design as an example. Concluding, we aim to stimulate debate on the necessity and benefits of rebuilding a quality of working life agenda for marrying academic rigour and practical relevance in order to support interventions aimed at fostering worker emancipation and well-being.

Тhe problems of valuation of ecosystem services in connection with the activation of economic activity of the Russian Federation in the Arctic zone are discussed. The types of negative impacts on the Arctic ecosystems and their assessment, investment risks existing in ecosystem services are considered. It is shown that the application of the methodology and apparatus of ecosystem services contributes to the adequate assessment and creation of a hierarchical classification of "usefulness" and "benefits" that society can get from the existence, use and nonuse of ecosystems. The concept of ecosystem services in relation to Arctic consists of three components: identification, monetization and ecological risk assessment. The example of the Arctic ecosystems shows that the susceptibility to assessment and the accuracy of the assessment can be quite different and is largely dependent on the type of service in the classification. The analysis of possible ecosystem services and their relationship with the quality of life of people in the Russian Arctic indicates significant investment risks.

Researchers and policy makers have proposed that quality of life (QOL) is an important and useful way to measure the impact of services, although practical application of QOL in rehabilitation has been limited. In this study, a comprehensive framework (the International Classification of Functioning [ICF]) is used to compare the relationship between QOL and function in key life areas in a sample of adults with disabilities receiving vocational services (n = 224). Results of a multiple regression analysis indicated that level of education, duration of disability, difficulty with social relationships and inclusion, the impact of the disability or health condition on the person or his or her family, and relational support and attitudes of family, friends, and acquaintances showed significant relationships with QOL. This study highlights the role of the social impact of disability on QOL and provides support for the use of the ICF for conceptualizing disability and its impact in a way that is inclusive of personal and environmental factors.
