In this paper the main factors that influence the innovative projects in the field of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products were identified and analyzed. Eleven potential factors influencing innovative projects have been considered and the correlation analysis has identified the two factors that have a major influence on innovative projects in the field: volume index of production in European Union for NACE codes 13-15 and exports value for textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products. The research has shown that the scale of innovative projects in textiles, clothing, leather and related products depends on European Union production and on global demand.

Internet has become one of the most important channels for the promotion and sale of services related to tourism. As a result, producers and distributors alike are keen to resolve the question as to which factors will determine website choice by internet browsers. In this paper we develop an experiment to determine the factors that need to be taken into consideration when designing a website for a mature, familiar tourist destination. To this end, the basic factors shaping the architecture of a website are theoretically described and, based on the results of a conjoint experiment, the main factors influencing a website for a classic destination are extracted. Our results suggest that a website that includes objective information (e.g., price, activities of interest, number of rooms) and multiple photos has a positive influence on customer perceptions. The paper also makes an important methodological contribution, as it proposes a new design for calculating the weight of the factors, interactions of two factors and the factors squared.

As the advance of Internet technology continues, various applications, services, and business models are emerging in the market. The online video sharing website is the hottest application nowadays; thus it is important to understand the key factors influencing user’s behavior on these websites. In this chapter, the authors propose a conceptual model which is based on the integrated model of user satisfaction and technology acceptance developed by Wixom and Todd (2005). To comprehend the user’s behavior intention toward using the website, the authors also add the potential factors about community which influence user’s behavior on video sharing websites. The results indicate that community satisfaction, content satisfaction, and system satisfaction all have significant positive impact on usefulness and ease of use, and that community satisfaction has a much higher impact than the other two types of satisfaction. This finding reveals an important attribute of video sharing websites, namely, the users of the website care most about the entire website community. Indeed, reliable system operations and useful, interactive content are two factors influencing the community satisfaction. For designers who want to set up a video sharing website, this research provides more comprehensive information on how to invest the limited resources on the critical variables in order to maximize the service value.

SummaryNative human plasminogen, the proenzyme of plasmin (E. C. 3.4.21.7) occurs in blood in two well defined forms, affinity forms I and II. In this paper, the feasibility of separating these forms of human native plasminogen by affinity chromatography, is shown to be dependent on two factors: 1) the ionic composition of the buffer containing the displacing agent: buffers of varying contents of sodium, Tris, phosphate and chloride ions were compared, and 2) the type of adsorbent. Two adsorbents were compared: Sepharose-lysine and Sepharose-bisoxirane-lysine. Only in the phosphate containing buffers, irrespective of the type of adsorbent, the affinity forms can be separated. The influence of the adsorbent can be accounted for by a large difference in dissociation constants of the complex between plasminogen and the immobilized lysine.

Subject. In the uncertain market environment, the optimal structure of capital is getting more important because it influences the competitiveness of a firm, its financial sustainability and solvency and, consequently, a success. Herein we dwell upon the hypothesis presuming the existence of capital structure determinants. Objectives. We review empirical studies on the subject, analyze determinants of the Russian companies’ capital structure. Methods. The study is based on the systems approach and methods of statistical analysis. Results. It is necessary to monitor how capital is shaped and formed. We investigated proceedings on factors influencing the capital structure and discovered relevant hypotheses, carrying out the correlation analysis of such factors. Conclusions and Relevance. It is especially important to examine factors influencing the capital structure, and find the appropriate format for the economy struggling through the crisis. The coronavirus pandemic unavoidably reshapes the global economic landscape, which has already been under the pressure of deglobalization processes (trade wars, repudiation of oil contracts). The correlation analysis did not reveal any relationship of the variables in question (the company’s age, ROE, ROA, MOEX, key rate, GDP, PPI) and the capital structure. Further research should be devoted to other factors and consider the unreasonableness and psychological background of managers’ behavior who make decisions concerning the capital structure.

Subject. This article examines the issues related to changes in reproduction capacity and heterogeneity of the development of Russian regions. Objectives. The article aims to assess regional differentiation and investigate the main factors influencing the uneven development of the areas. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of comparative and correlation analyses. Results. The article identifies groups of leading and lagging Russian regions and assesses the possibility of convergence of Russian regions according to the analyzed indicators, such as GRP, GRP per capita, and the output of industry. Conclusions. The results obtained can be used when preparing strategic policy documents, spatial development programmes and concepts. The observed heterogeneity suggests that the regions maintain their positions throughout the research period.

AbstractCarbon black-filled polymer composites were investigated as sensing materials for organic liquids. Polypropylene and polystyrene which were selected as matrices and various amounts of carbon black were considered as the main factors influencing sensitivity of the composites in view of the percolation theory. Disposable filaments were produced of these materials. Change in their electrical resistivity was measured upon immersion in benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene and their mixtures. It has been found that studied materials were sensitive to the composition of liquid mixtures of organic solvent. Relationships between the filament response and volumetric fraction of the components were presented. The studied materials have shown promising sensing properties, which suggest their applicability for identification and quantification of multicomponent organic liquids.

The Saudi Ministry of Education has recently begun to allow all Saudi families to enroll their children in international schools. The international curriculum offered by such schools represents a notably different choice compared with Saudi traditional public and private schools, both of which teach the same state-mandated curriculum. As a result of the change, there has been a surge in demand for international education; the number of schools has increased rapidly, and there has been a steady “student leak” towards them and away from traditional schools. Little is known about why Saudi parents choose to enroll their children in international schools. We explored this question by surveying 431 Saudi parents of children attending such schools to identify the main factors contributing to their choice. Although all factors examined were important to parents, curriculum and overall school quality emerged as the most important; socioeconomic status was not influential in their decisions.
