This article looks at the pressures, issues, and organizational elements that were perceived to have the greatest impact on the success or failure of technology projects, based on discussions with police leaders who have recently retired from police organizations across Canada. These discussions were technology-agnostic and focused on the human dimension of technology projects to understand what worked, what didn’t, and why, with the intent to help inform the discussion on technology acquisition for today’s police leaders.

ResumoOs dados biográficos sobre cientistas, e em particular de químicos e físicos, podem ser usados como elemento motivador dos estudantes e público assim como um instrumento humanizador da ciência e demonstrativo da forma como esta funciona na prática. A dimensão humana da ciência emerge naturalmente da análise de apontamentos biográficos que enfatizem os dilemas e os sucessos e fracassos dos cientistas. Os episódios históricos e as atitudes e acções dos cientistas mostram como funciona a ciência e dão aos estudantes e público a possibilidade de reflectirem sobre a ciência e a sua humanidade, assim como de desenvolverem a capacidade de desconfiar do anacronismo, da pseudo-ciência, da ciência patológica e da fraude científica, para melhor apreciarem e entenderem o desenvolvimento da ciência. Começando com uma breve revisão dos sintomas e critérios propostos na literatura para distinguir desvios anormais, neste trabalho são analisados alguns casos de produção de ciência patológica nos campos da química e da física, procurando, a partir destes, evidenciar caminhos pedagógicos que fomentem o espírito crítico dos estudantes e do público. Abstract Biographical data about scientists, and in particular about chemists and physicists, can be used for engaging students and the public, humanizing the science image, and for demonstrating how it works in the practice. The human dimension of science emerges naturally from the analysis of biographical aspects that emphasize the dilemmas and the successes and failures of scientists. The historical episodes and the attitudes and actions of scientists show how science works and offer students and public the opportunity to reflect about science and its humanity, as well as to develop the capacity to distrust anachronism, pseudo-science, pathological science, and scientific fraud in order to better appreciate and understand the action and development of science. Starting with a brief review of the symptoms and criteria proposed in the literature to distinguish deviations from normal science, this work analyzes some cases of production of pathological science, focusing on chemistry and physics, seeking pedagogical paths that foster the critical spirit of students and the public.Keywords: Biographies of scientists, pedagogical strategies, the humanity of science, pseudo-science, pathological science.

The international experience of integrating building information modeling (BIM) into project management system with innovation implementation accent has been revealed in this article. The events carried out on federal and regional levels concerning the President of Russia directive on building construction industry modernization and construction objects transferring to life cycle management by means of BIM were analyzed. The large company experience of implementing BIM was summarized with describing some examples in different cities and regions of our country and thus the main directions of this technology development were determined. The key points of BIM and project management system pairing and impacting an innovation choice witch determine the project economic efficiency in the integrated management system were shown. The main reports of "Building construction projects technology and management: new practices and prospects" conference by Moscow Trade and Commerce Chamber were reviewed in this direction and problems of the new investment and construction project management technology implementation were shown. The ways to solve these problems were disclosed by work examples of PAO "Sberbank", and successfully working in our country firms Bilfinger Tebodin - BIM design and Beiten Burkhard -jurisdiction support. Some economic efficiency questions of BIM implementation were disclosed in the report delivered by The Plekhanov University of Economics (project and program management base department of Capital Group). Management system suggestions, regarding BIM implementation in Moscow construction were given.

In recent times, we are witnessing the technological revolution which provides access to tremendous changes in all the fields including the industrial sectors. The notable benefit of the modern technology is quick accomplishment of complex tasks within a short span of time, which has motivated the manufacturers to imbibe novelty techniques in the production process to enhance the quality of the product so as to retain its market position amidst the competitors. As globalization has gained more concern, the manufacturers employ internet advertising strategy to elevate the product to international level and to propagate the attributes of the products to the customers residing worldwide. In this paper an EPQ inventory model is developed in which the associated costs of technology, acquisition of local and international customers via internet advertising costs are included, a numerical example is also presented to validate the model.
