In today's digital society and economy, professions associated with high technologies are becoming increasingly in demand: programmers, system en-gineers, IT specialists, biotechnologists, project leaders, etc. In this regard, school graduates are required not just good knowledge of school subjects, but also knowledge interdisciplinary, the formation of which is a long pro-cess, starting as early as school, and only traditional methods are indispensa-ble. One of these innovative technologies is STEAM education. To imple-ment the concept of STEAM-education, the system of pedagogical education is tasked with training relevant personnel with the necessary competencies, among which the most relevant are meta-subjects and design and research skills. In our opinion, one of the possible innovations in the preparation of teachers for STEAM education is the inclusion of the “Robotics” discipline in the content of training future teachers of physics, mathematics, technolo-gy, visual arts, and others. The authors conducted a survey among future teachers studying at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Engineering and Technology Faculties of the Elabuga Institute of Kazan Fed-eral University, showed that the problem of training graduates of general ed-ucational institutions to the challenges of the new time is more relevant than ever. Only 18% of respondents are aware of the existing the world and the country STEM and STEAM education programs, 15% of the students sur-veyed believe that they are ready to implement project activities STI and on-ly 10% of students believe that they are ready to lead project activities. These data indicate that not only the problem of teachers' readiness to im-plement new educational programs, but also the problem of preparing future teachers to implement practice-oriented educational activities based on the formation of design and research competencies, is coming to the fore.

The article provides a classification of new teaching methods used by university teachers in order to adapt students to learn new material in the context of their cognitive activities. In modern conditions of the rapid development of digital technologies, it is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate the growing flow of information, so teachers are faced with the problem of helping students learn more effectively, especially if students lack knowledge of new digital technologies. Therefore, the function of the teacher is changing significantly, and there is a need to use such teaching methods that help students more easily and quickly recognize reliable sources, at the same time acquiring the ability to set the necessary search queries and navigate through digital space. New learning technologies, such as gamification, blended learning, mobile learning, micro-learning, project-based learning and facilitation sessions, contribute to the active teacher-student interaction and the formation of new knowledge and competencies. At the same time, the process of acquiring knowledge becomes secondary, and the acquisition of new competencies that will be necessary in future professional life comes to the fore. The digital educational landscape offers students a greater choice, which actualizes the promotion of new educational technologies in the modern university space. Keywords: new teaching methods, digitalization, Russian universities, blended learning, gamification

The article correlates universal educational actions and soft skills. The concepts considered are related educational categories and are a reflection of the skills of the 21st century. Universal educational actions are formulated for general education and include personal, regulatory, cognitive and communicative components. Soft skills are more applicable to the professional sphere and can be defined as personality traits that allow you to successfully demonstrate your knowledge, skills and abilities in collective educational and professional activities. The categories under consideration do not oppose or contradict each other, but are different formulations of the same skills. Comparison of educational categories shows the continuity of soft skills in relation to universal educational actions. In the formation of universal educational actions and soft skills, the subject area "Technology" can play an important role when considering modern digital technologies.

The article examines integrative approaches of educational STEM programs implementation in secondary educational institutions. The concept of “STEM education” is not stable. The views of experts on its content are revealed through such generalized components as pedagogical technology (pedagogical process), focus on practical tasks and problem-based learning. At the same time, integrative approaches find application in the disciplines, the sequence of courses, and in a separate course. Generalization of the definitions of the concept “STEM education”, proposed by various experts, made it possible to understand it as a joint activity, interaction and cooperation of teachers, students and stakeholders, aimed at overcoming the fragmentation of knowledge by eliminating boundaries between them, integrating content components. It provides the formation of key competencies necessary for further employment and life activity in the conditions of the formation and development of new branches of knowledge. The article describes the general features of the learning organization in accordance with disciplinary, multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches. In the context of transdisciplinarity, the prospects for the development of educational programs in secondary educational institutions of Ukraine is considered. It is possible to single out a number of problems accompanying the process of STEM courses developing and implementing. There are the problem of systematizing the structural and logical links between disciplines to be merged, the problem of professional readiness of teachers specializing in teaching one or two disciplines to take responsibility for mentoring and supporting student’s transdisciplinary projects and modernization of educational laboratories and making of modern STEM centres at secondary educational institution.
