Seit der Epoche der Romantik bringen viele der Diskurse, die künstlerische Kreativität betreffen, den Künstler und seinen Arbeitsraum zusammen: Die Werkstatt wird als ein Spiegel des Künstlers und seines Werks angesehen, als ein Heiligtum, ein sozialer Raum oder eine Ausstellungsfläche. Ein populärer bildlicher Topos der Zeit war die Darstellung des leeren Ateliers. Der vorliegende Beitrag versteht das Bild des leeren Ateliers im 19. Jahrhundert als ein Selbstporträt des Künstlers. Er untersucht, wie die Darstellung des Raums und seiner Objekte dem Gemälde die Präsenz des Künstlers einschreiben und sein bzw. ihr künstlerisches  Selbstverständnis innerhalb der sich verändernden künstlerischen und sozialen Strukturen der Epoche wiedergeben.<br><br>From the Romantic era onward, many of the discourses surrounding artistic creativity have merged the artist and his working space: the place of work is viewed as the mirror of the man and his oeuvre, a sanctuary, a social or an exhibition space. A popular topos in this context was the view of the empty studio. This paper explores the 19th-century empty studio image as a self-portrait of the artist. It examines how the depictions of the space and its objects work to inscribe the artist’s presence, and to express his or her  artistic self-conception and identity within the changing artistic-social structures of the period.

Located at the old harbor of the city of Genoa, the modern Galata Museo del Mare was inaugurated as part of the commemoration of Genoa as the 2004 European Capital of Culture. Only twelve years later, the museum proudly welcomes 200,000 visitors annually into its twenty-eight galleries, organized in an impressive exhibition space of 10,000 square meters, showcasing 4,300 objects. While the aim of the museum is to tell the maritime history of Genoa—ranging from Christopher Columbus to an open-air space showcasing the story of the Genoese shipyard—it is the exhibition on migration to and from Italy that will truly impress the visitor.

A virtual learning environment is conceived as an interaction space that ease the realization of mediated activities by technology, in this case the internet; besides using multimedia materials, learning objects, social networks, among others; which have changed imminently the traditional education. In this article an instrument is proposed in a checklist format, to evaluate any platform that has interaction spaces such as a Virtual Learning Environment, in this case responding to four spaces or general indicators: information Space, Mediation / Interaction Space, Instructional Design Space and Exhibition Space. Criteria are used according to the interactions and activities carried out by the consultant and virtual student. These, in turn, come up from the analysis and interaction of the advisers achieved in the discussion forums and portfolio activities through collaborative work. It was situated as a qualitative research, with a descriptive nature since it is not limited to data collection only, but also it refers and analyzes the interaction of the advisers achieved in the discussion forums and portfolio activities through the collaborative work of the workshop course "Virtual Learning Environments" developed in a virtual learning environment.

Exhibition design as preferential research framework in redefining interior spaces value-ratio in contemporary architecture debate: the merging end integration approach introduced by communication and performative exhibition practices is redesigning culturally and physically the pre-existing spaces. Exhibition design research innovative carrying out planning approach for changing strategies simultaneity knowledge spreading. In this way it became the most interesting and topical interior design project act, able to translate performing spaces into crossing experience built also with meanings dissemination and "surfing" knowledge method. The exhibition design direction is a different tool to control and develop multimodal approach to interior territories whose outcome fit to new social landscapes The Installation of an exhibition space meaning is now coming into sight as work-in-progress multi-disciplinary range, increasingly complex. The experiential element (whom exponential use of digital solution is just an exterior consequence) will increasing more and more and will bring to ostensive solutions development looking to new classifying parameters capable in enclosing several simultaneous organizing relationships. These parameters represents many super-structural rationalization process aptitudes that draw close true courses and imaginary tours, into complex changeable landscapes where raise to the surface place, objects and viewers sense and myths, made by production act, supervising to thoughts and actions as independent and symbiotic designer and visitor condition.
