The Digital Transformation phenomenon always tends to be complicated, ambiguous, challenging, and non-routine managerial tasks for organizations. The success rate of such digital transformation is very low due to rapid changes in technologies. Digital transformation through these technologies demands a fundamental change in organization processes, technology and behavior of the people. This broad change results in different socio-technical issues and challenges. The primary objective of the study is to discover issues, challenges and impact/benefits during digital transformation, investigated by various researchers. For this purpose, a systematic literature review (SLR) as prescribed by Levy and Ellis (2005) helped in identifying the challenges of digital transformation. The articles published from 2008 to 2018 were selected and analyzed. The findings of this research reflect the importance of developing an effective digital transformation strategy in organizations. The proactive strategy regarding people, process, technology, and most importantly their alignment in the organization is found critical in executing such transformation initiative in the organization. The planned efforts regarding knowledge management also played an important role in executing and sustaining such transformation initiatives in the organizations. Moreover, value creation, operational efficiency, competitive advantage, customer relationship, and new business model emerged as a vital motivational factor and outcome for digital transformation. Keywords: Digital transformation, digital transformation issues and challenges, systematic literature review, digital transformation benefits/impact.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to identify the development of the digital transformation literature and to the systematic literature review methodology.Design/methodology/approachThe authors run a systematic literature review, followed by a rigorous thematic analysis of both academic and grey literature dataset, in order to develop a conceptual map of organizations' digital transformation. The authors aggregate the concepts and topics identified across the literature to find that they overwhelmingly tackle digital business models. At the same time, the authors identify a major blind spot resulting from ignoring the organization itself as a unit of analysis.FindingsThe findings show that developing a digital theory of the organization or the theory of digitally transformed organization is a major challenge to management researchers. The analysis exposed numerous research gaps that can be helpful for future research directions.Originality/valueDigital transformation research enjoys an increasingly rapid rise to recognition across many academic disciplines and strongly impacts the management domain. adopt the view that published documents reflect the collective understanding of a phenomenon. This paper contributes to filtering the digital transformation literature, clarify complex relation between digital transformations of organizations and identify the key blind points.

The primary objective of this research is to investigate the adaptability of the Scrum framework for large scale projects. A two phase approach has been undertaken towards the goal. The first phase involves conducting a systematic literature review to identify and elaborate scaling practices used in the current industry. The review also identifies the challenges faced by the developers when the Scrum framework is used for the development of large projects. The second phase involves the construction of a simulation model to analyze the dynamic behavior of the Scrum framework for large projects. The systematic literature review revealed that the major challenge while scaling Scrum is ensuring good communication among project members. The communication overhead was incorporated in the system dynamic model of the Scrum framework. The simulation results showed that there is a reduction in work rate when number of personnel is increased due to the increasing communication overhead.

The continuing erosion of citizen trust and confidence in government has been attributed to a number of factors. This chapter examines the potential role of digital transformation of government in reversing this decline. Based on a systematic literature review, key factors that influence citizen trust and confidence in government as an institution are identified, including citizen satisfaction and expectations, government transparency and accountability, transformation of government, and government performance. The review of the literature also reveals a lack of knowledge and understanding of how transformation of government can influence the growing decline in citizen engagement with government. To address this gap, a conceptual model capturing the key constructs is proposed to support a better understanding of strategies for rebuilding trust and confidence in government administrations through transformation of government.

The increasing digitalization of economies has highlighted the importance of digital transformation and how it can help businesses stay competitive in the market. However, disruptive changes not only occur at the company level; they also have environmental, societal, and institutional implications. This is the reason why during the past two decades the research on digital transformation has received growing attention, with a wide range of topics investigated in the literature. The following aims to provide insight regarding the current state of the literature on digital transformation (DT) by conducting a systematic literature review. An analysis of co-occurrence using the software VOSviewer was conducted to graphically visualize the literature’s node network. Approached this way, the systematic literature review displays major research avenues of digital transformation that consider technology as the main driver of these changes. This paper qualitatively classifies the literature on digital business transformation into three different clusters based on technological, business, and societal impacts. Several research gaps identified in the literature on DT are proposed as futures lines of research which could provide useful insights to the government and private sectors in order to adapt to the disruptive changes found in business as a result of this phenomenon, as well as to reduce its negative impacts on society and the environment.

One of the focuses of marketing in a company is how to achieve customer loyalty. That is reflected in how companies maintain brands, consumers, and product-consumer relationships. In some cases, companies focus solely on profit, resulting in the company losing its reputation. There is an opinion that consumers demand ethics and responsibility from companies to stakeholders, in this case, consumers. Consumers in this position can provide feedback regarding the company's marketing ethics. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, consumers are also more vigilant and careful in choosing products. So, with the COVID-19 Pandemic conditions like this, it is necessary to study whether consumer ethics in determining product choices and behavior towards products will be affected and whether a company's marketing ethics also influence product determination and consumer behavior towards products. This article aims to examine whether marketing ethics and consumer ethics influence consumer behavior and decisions to buy a product or interact further with the product, especially in the current era of the COVID 19 Pandemic. And the method used for this article is a systematic literature review. From this research, it is concluded that marketing and consumer ethics have a role in influencing consumers to choose to buy products and the responses given after making a purchase or through transaction experience with a company. And consumer behavior and decisions are very dependent on how ethical the company is in marketing its products both before and during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Goal: The aim is to present a literature review for identifying digital transformation technologies (DTT) for manufacturing and pointing out their capabilities and applications. Furthermore, the paper lays out an exploratory framework to depict the impact scope of the cases on logistics and supply chain management (L&SCM) processes. Design / Methodology / Approach: The identification of relevant DTTs and their capabilities is based on a systematic literature review. The exploratory framework builds upon Industry 4.0 concepts and frameworks as well as the conditions for sustainable digital artefacts. It is then related to cases found in the systematic literature review. Results: The results indicate that the DTT auto identification, additive manufacturing, and cloud technology lead to improvements concerning transparency efficiency, optimizing distribution distances and logistics resources in networks. The framework presents an avenue for assessing the impact scope and potentials of implementing DTT. Limitations of the investigation: The literature base limits the findings since it is built upon two databases and is restricted to articles published in English. The theoretically deduced framework accounts for the dimensions technologies, the SCOR model and RAMI architecture. The illustration is simplified but can be detailed according to the needs. It is not tested based on case studies and should therefore be applied in practice to further develop it. Practical implications: Practitioners gain insight into how to anchor potential use cases for more sustainable L&SCM processes in the framework. Originality / Value: This paper is the first to relate the capabilities of DTT to more sustainable L&SCM processes in manufacturing by means of a systematic literature review and link the findings to an exploratory framework.
