Results: Epistaxis was most common in males (78,3%), one side of nose cavity (76%), mild haemorrhage (85%). There were 40% patient without interventions. Nasal packing was the first indicated (60%). The rate of stop nosebleeding by nasal packing was 23,3%, by eclectrocautery was 37,7%. Combining eclectrocautery and suction was an effective method for treatment epistaxis. Conclusions: Nasal endoscopic and electrocautery were an effective method for treatment epistaxis. Key words: epistaxis, nasal endoscopic

Methods: Study on 116 patients with pre-eclampsia at Obs. & Gyn. Department - Hue Central Hospital were taken by an prospective cohort study. Results: There was correlation between morphology of uterine Doppler waves with the type of preeclamsia and fetal distress. Among 46 patients with server preeclamsia, the rate of abnormal of waves uterine Doppler is 78,2 %, and the rate of abnormal of waves uterine Doppler is 22% and fetal. This research also evaluate the relation between uterine Doppler with the fetal distress. The group patients with fetal distress also have the rate of abnormal uterine Doppler is 86,6% and the rate of nomal uterine dopple is 13,4 %. Conclusion: There was the correlation between the values of the Uterine Doppler with the type of preeclamsia and predict fetal distress. The value of uterine Doppler ultrasound can be predict the ricks happening for mother and fetal distress with preeclampsia. Anterior nasal bleeding was noted in majority of the patients (70.4%), anterior and posterior nasal was 18.3%, posterior nasal was 11.3%. There were three stage: mild (77.5%), moderate (15.5%), severe (7%). Anterior nasal packing (70.4%) were the most common methods, Posterior nasal packing were 25.4%, Local cauterization were 1.4%, Constriction of the blood vessels were 1.4%, Embolization procedure were 1.4%. Complication rate was 8.4% include: fever (5%), pressure necrosis (1.7%), scars (1.7%). The rate of good recovery after treatment was 91.7%, partial recovery was 8.3%. Purpose: To determine the clinical characteristics of the chronic dacryocystitis and the success rate of external dacryocystorhinostomy. Methods: The retrospective, interventional study without comparing on 27 patients (32 eyes) of chronic dacryocystitis who underwent dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) from 2010 to 2011. Results were evaluated with standards: epiphora, purelence, lacrimal duct irrigation. Results: Over period of 6 months, 27 patients including 25 (92.59%) female, 2 (7.41%) male. The mean age was 49.8 years (range, 22-79 years). All patients demonstrated epiphera (range, 3 months – 11 years). Dacryocystorhinostomy was performed unilaterally in 81.48%, bilateral 18.52%. Successrate was 90.06% overall. Conclusions: Although techniques in dacryocystorhinostomy of DUPUY-DUTEMPS is old, its result is mainstay of treatment for chronic dacryocystitis in Vietnam. Bacground: Variceal bleeding is a severe complication of portal hypertension due to cirrhosis with high rate of motality, hence, predicting early rebleeding and mortality in cirrhotic patients with acute variceal bleeding is vital in clinical practice. Objectives: To evaluate the prognostic value of the combination of AIMS65 and MELD scores in predicting first 5 days in-hospital rebleeding and mortality in cirrhotic patients with acute variceal bleeding. Materials and Methods: 44 cirrhotic patients with acute variceal bleeding hospitalized at Hue Central Hospital. MELD and AIMS65 scores were calculated within the first 24 hours and monitoring rebleeding and mortality in the first 5 days in these patients. Results: AIMS65, MELD scores can predict first 5 days rebleeding and mortality with AUROC are 0.81, 0.69 and 0.92, 0.95, respectively. Combination of AIMS65 and MELD scores can predict first 5 days in hospital rebleeding with AUROC is 0.84, sensitivity 83.3%, specificity 81.6% (p<0.001) and mortality with AUROC is 0.96, sensitivity 100%, specificity 92.7% (p<0.001). Conclusions: The combination of AIMS65 and MELD scores increased the sensitivity, specificity and prognostic value in predicting first 5 days in-hospital rebleeding and mortality in cirrhotic patients with acute variceal bleeding in compare to each single scores. Key words: AiMS65 score, MELd, acute variceal bleeding
