Introduction. Levko Kolodub – is one of the most outstanding Ukrainian composers of the 2nd half of the XX-th – the beginning XXI-thcentury. Studying of his creative work will never lose its actuality in the context of understanding the integrity, depth and diversity of our national musical culture. Theoretical Background. There is no fundamental monograph about L. Kolodub. The brochure by M. Zaghajkevych (1973), collected articles based on the conference materials, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Master (2006), books by K. Bila (2010) about the instrumental concert and by L. Makarenko (2015) about folklore principles of his work, so as biographical articles for the Ukrainian Music Encyclopedia (V. 2, 2008) and for the Festival booklet (2019) – became a milestone on this path. Eight letters from Levko (1954) to Janna Brondz (his future wife Zhanna Kolodub), with whom they lived for almost sixty-five years!), recently found in the family archives, – are important for the scientific reconstruction of L. Kolodub’s creative biography. Objectives. The article aims to describe the letters, first submitted for publication and commented in detail, and determine the meaning of this period. Methods. It was used: analytical – to analyze the literature on this issue; historical – to comment and identify the significance of June 1954 in the L. Kolodub’s life; biographical – for the studying of life facts; interviews with J. Kolodub during 2020–2021 to clarify some details; and also – a source method for studying the epistolary corpus. Results and Discussion. The impetus for the letters was a brief acquaintance of two young people after a symphony concert at the Kyiv Philharmonic during the Republican Plenum of the Ukraine Composers Union. The correspondence lasted a little over a month – until the end of their student life. In the first letter, Levko describes in detail how he first saw Janna, decided to approach and talk. Then he tells about himself, about the years of his study at the Kharkiv Conservatory. As he finishes his own Cantata to the state exam in the specialty. How the composition lessons were held in the Professor M. Titz’s class. He remembers also, how he came to M. Titz on December 31, 1947 at the first time and almost until the New Year he showed the Symphony, improvising on the clarinet. Another letter tells, how Levko prepares carefully for the piano exam, where he will also play his own works – Scherzo and Fuga. During the preparing for the composition exam – in really a symphony concert at the Kharkiv Philharmonic – L. Kolodub considerably reworked his Symphonic poem; he describes the changes in detail because he is sure, she’ll be interested in it. We learn about the passing of the colloquium from the last letter, where the author expresses his confidence in the upcoming meeting: after his graduation he is going to come to Kyiv and congratulate Janna on her diploma. Conclusion. So, from these letters we found out L. Kolodub as a competent specialist – erudite, self-critical, hard-working composer, aimed at self-improvement.

From the moment you discover that you are going to be a parent, the hopes, dreams, and expectations you have for yourself and your child flood your mind. No matter how your child is to arrive, your heart is full of hope and promise. You begin to let yourself plan your future. Will your child become president, a doctor, a lawyer, work in the family business, or win the Nobel Peace Prize? Will he or she possess a special talent or skill? Your mind wanders and daydreams of all that is to come. The moment they place your beautiful child in your arms, you realize that there is no greater feeling. You are in love. There is no feeling deeper or grander. The unimaginable joy and gratitude for the blessing of your child is overwhelming. We all know those moments where your heart surged out of your body in awe of the blessing you were given. You may have even asked yourself, “How did I get so lucky?” I can relate. The moment they placed my daughter in my arms for the first time, I knew I had a greater purpose. I would not find out how much for another two years. I devoted myself to her; her care, her introduction to the world, and to the very amazing person I knew she would become. I gave everything of myself tirelessly to her. Her every whimper, cry, or gesture was met with a response. I could anticipate her needs and wants before she fully expressed them. I thought I had an undeniable bond with my daughter. I did. I had a bond that needed no words. That was the problem: we did not need words. If you are like me, you noticed at first subtle differences in your child, and then later there were glaring and alarming indications something was not developing correctly. But, no matter your education or your intelligence level, denial can be a powerful thing.

This study aims to describe the implementation of kuliwa and describe social actions in the Kuliwa tradition of the Mandar fishing community in the village of Pambusuang. The approach used is qualitative. The results showed that Mandar people usually perform kuliwa rituals to inaugurate the use of new boats and to inaugurate new fishing machines or equipment as well as for the first time to go to sea. The implementation of kuliwa rituals, is a series of activities held on the boat and at the courtier house . Of the four further classification of Weber's actions, only three will be used by the author to analyze the phenomenon of the Kuliwa tradition in the Mandar fishing community in the village of Pambusuang, namely: the rationality of the value of affective actions, and traditional actions, to understand the motives and goals of the perpetrators of the kuliwa tradition up to currently still maintaining and preserving it. The act of rationality based on the findings of existing data, Mandar people in the village of Pambusuang who have done kuliwa said that implementing kuliwa also means not only as a tradition but also a condition for values, such as social values, religion and others. Affective actions based on the findings of existing data One of the emotional actions seen in the kuliwa tradition is where neighbors come to help prepare the event for the kuliwa tradition. At the time the event will start at home, the courtier calls neighbors around to come to eat at the retainer's house. Traditional actions based on the findings of existing data Pambusuang community who decided to carry out the kuliwa because in the family of the community there is a habit to carry out the kuliwa and the habit already exists from the previous offspring which then passed on to the next offspring.

A series of six papers on “Youth Development in Europe: Transitions and Identities” has now been published in the European Psychologist throughout 2008 and 2009. The papers aim to make a conceptual contribution to the increasingly important area of productive youth development by focusing on variations and changes in the transition to adulthood and emerging identities. The papers address different aspects of an integrative framework for the study of reciprocal multiple person-environment interactions shaping the pathways to adulthood in the contexts of the family, the school, and social relationships with peers and significant others. Interactions between these key players are shaped by their embeddedness in varied neighborhoods and communities, institutional regulations, and social policies, which in turn are influenced by the wider sociohistorical and cultural context. Young people are active agents, and their development is shaped through reciprocal interactions with these contexts; thus, the developing individual both influences and is influenced by those contexts. Relationship quality and engagement in interactions appears to be a fruitful avenue for a better understanding of how young people adjust to and tackle development to productive adulthood.

When the Turkish army seized power on May 27th, 1960, a new democratic constitution was carried into effect. The positive atmosphere created by the 1961 constitution quickly showed its effects on political balances in the parliament and it became difficult for one single party to come into power, which strengthened the multi-party-system. The freedom initiative created by 1961’s constitution had a direct effect on the rise of public opposition. Filmmakers, who generally steered clear from the discussion of social problems and conflicts until 1960, started to produce movies questioning conflicts in political, social and cultural life for the first time and discussions about the “Social Realism” movement in the ensuing films arose in cinematic circles in Turkey. At the same time, the “regional managers” emerged, and movies in line with demands of this system started to be produced. The Hope (Umut), produced by Yılmaz Güney in 1970, rang in a new era in Turkish cinema, because it differed from other movies previously made in its cinematic language, expression, and use of actors and settings. The aim of this study is to mention the reality discussions in Turkish cinema and outline the political facts which initiated this expression leading up to the film Umut (The Hope, directed by Yılmaz Güney), which has been accepted as the most distinctive social realist movie in Turkey.

Initially, Oliver Twist (1839) might seem representative of the archetypal male social plot, following an orphan and finding him a place by discovering the father and settling the boy within his inheritance. But Agnes Fleming haunts this narrative, undoing its neat, linear transmission. This reconsideration of maternal inheritance and plot in the novel occurs against the backdrop of legal and social change. I extend the critical consideration of the novel's relationship to the New Poor Law by thinking about its reflection on the bastardy clauses. And here, of course, is where the mother enters. Under the bastardy clauses, the responsibility for economic maintenance of bastard children was, for the first time, legally assigned to the mother, relieving the father of any and all obligation. Oliver Twist manages to critique the bastardy clauses for their release of the father, while simultaneously embracing the placement of the mother at the head of the family line. Both Oliver and the novel thus suggest that it is the mother's story that matters, her name through which we find our own. And by containing both plots – that of the father and the mother – Oliver Twist reveals the violence implicit in traditional modes of inheritance in the novel and under the law.
