The wood yield of hedge banks is very heterogeneous and hard to estimate in advance. The aim of the present study was to estimate the dry biomass of hedge banks shortly before harvesting using two different non-destructive approaches: (i) allometric equation based on DBH, (ii) volume calculations based on Structure from Motion; and to compare these estimations to the results of the (invasive) reference method: weighing after harvesting. Study objects were three different 100 m hedge banks in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany that were divided into 10 m segments (n = 30). These segments were harvested and weighed separately to calculate dry biomass. The allometric equation yielded a relative root mean square error (rRMSE) of 32.4%. The Structure from Motion (SfM) volume models yielded an rRMSE of 30.0%. These results indicate that SfM approaches are comparably precise to allometric equations for dry mass estimations of hedge banks. SfM approaches are less time consuming but have higher technical requirements.

SummaryThe aim of this study was to determine whether the concentration of trisodium citrate used to anticoagulate blood has an effect on the INR of the sample and the ISI of the thromboplastin. Five thromboplastins including and Australian reference material were used to measure the prothrombin time of normal and patient samples collected into two concentrations of trisodium citrate - 109 mM and 129 mM. There was no effect of citrate concentration on the INRs determined with the reference material. However for the other four thromboplastins there was a significant difference between INRs for the two citrate groups. The prothrombin times of the samples collected into 129 mM were longer than those collected into 109 mM. This difference was only slight in normal plasma but more marked in patients receiving oral anticoagulants, causing the INRs for patient plasmas collected into 129 mM citrate to be higher then the corresponding samples collected into 109 mM citrate. From orthogonal regression of log prothrombin times by the reference method against each thromboplastin, we found that the ISI for each thromboplastin was approximately 10% lower when determined with samples collected into 129 mM citrate than with samples collected into 109 mM. These results suggest that the concentration of trisodium citrate used for collection of blood samples can affect the calculation of the INR and the calibration of the ISI of thromboplastin. This was found both for commercial thromboplastins prepared by tissue extraction and for a recombinant tissue factor.

Hospital X was class b private hospitals that are located in Batam with 297 unit beds. The waste that can be categorized as solid waste medical in the hospital which is infectious, pharmacy, hazardous and toxic waste, cytotoxic, sharp object. The purpose of this research is to identify, a source of , the characteristics, solid waste medical produced by hospital X in Batam and also conduct an evaluation of solid waste medical management hospital in accordance with the minister of environment and forestry 56 2015 on procedures and technical requirements of hazardous and toxic waste management than health service facilities. This research used primary and secondary data collection method. The research results show solid waste medical management at the hospital X in Batam most of them are in according to rule. But there are some things that must be improved are blinding trash bag, efficiency and minimal temparature the combustion chamber incinerator. Management efforts must to do are briefing to officer of the waste collection about the way to blinding trash bag in according to the regulation and the incinerator that can serve confirming to standard of burning hazardous and toxic waste.

Nowadays, the creation of remotely-piloted aerial vehicles for various purposes is regarded as one of the most relevant and promising trends of aircraft development. FAU "25 State Research Institute of Chemmotology of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation" have studied the operation features of aircraft piston engines and developed technical requirements for motor oil for piston four-stroke UAV engines, as well as a new engine oil M-5z/20 AERO in cooperation with NPP KVALITET, LLC. Based on the complex of qualification tests, the stated operational properties of the experimental-industrial batch of M-5z/20 AERO oil are generally confirmed.
