Abstract USS Dual Phase 80 is a high-strength steel sheet which has a dual phase structure of martensite and ferrite. It provides all the benefits of higher strength with little sacrifice in ductility, formability or weldability. Dual Phase 80 gains strength as it is formed through rapid work hardening of its unique microstructure; in fact, it increases from its delivered yield strength of 50,000 psi up to 80,000 psi (or more) in forming. Its final strength depends on the amount of forming. Its many applications include automotive vehicles, farm equipment and heavy construction equipment. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Super Steel

Super steel has the same chemical composition as plain carbon steel, but its yield strength is higher than plain carbon steel because it has finer grain size. The products of super steel sheet have been used in automobile parts, which not only improves the quality of the automobiles, but also reduces the cost and weight of automobiles, decreases energy consumption and environmental pollution. At present, several automobile manufacturers have applied the super steel products to their parts, such as Across Beam and Longitude Beam, Automotive wheel, et al. This paper introduces the tensile test, cold bending test and metallographic examination for 500MPa grade super steel sheet that have been done. The hardening index, value of plastic strain ratio, yield strength, tensile strength, even percentage elongation and other mechanical performances have been studied. The press forming performance of 500MPa grade super steel has been analyzed too. It can be used for guidance of stamping production.

Obtaining optimal mechanical properties for highly formable ferritic stainless steel sheet requires careful control over recrystallization and texture. This is, in some cases, hampered by the slow approach to final recrystallization associated with the disappearance of deformed grains with particular orientations. The important mechanical properties for formability (e.g. the yield strength and r-value) are thus strongly dependent on the final few percent recrystallization. In this study, it has been attempted to correlate the microstructure and texture of ferritic stainless steel sheet to its mechanical properties as measured in uniaxial tension. It is shown that careful consideration of the evolution of texture and microstructure with recrystallization may explain the observed trends.

Cold rolled steel industry in type of batch annealing furnace, the mechanical properties of steel sheet have variation by each position. The parameters of annealing temperature and time were analysed to work out the source of mechanical properties variation. This experiment is using low-carbon steel sheet that were cold rolled at the same reduction ratio. Then annealed applying by different annealing temperature and soaking time in laboratory furnace. The mechanical properties which were examined. Yield strength, Tensile strength, %Elongation and Hardness. The result showed that (1) Increasing the annealing temperature could remarkably decrease the yield strength, tensile strength and hardness, whereas the %Elongation could be increased. (2) Increasing the soaking time could slightly effect on mechanical properties. (3) The annealing temperature of 650°C with soaking time of 2 hr should be applied to provide the mechanical properties close to target value (4) Grain size of the workpieces trended to be grown from the annealing temperature of 610°C.The experiment it can be concluded that annealing temperature and soaking time have significant effect on the mechanical properties variation in batch annealing.
