Abstract Tg 27 Zinc Alloy is a zinc-aluminum-copper high-strength foundry alloy that is well suited to structural applications, once the exclusive domain of malleable and cast iron, bronzes and aluminum. Tg 27 offers an as-sand-cast tensile strength of 58,000 to 64,000 psi at modest costs. It is extremely resistant to galling because it has natural lubricity and is thus well suited to bearing and bushing applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fracture toughness, creep, and fatigue.
