This research was conducted in order to improve the teaching material in the form of an educational CD for class VII SMP with material on physical and chemical changes (chemical reactions). The stages of research and improvement carried out include: (1) needs analysis, (2) product improvement stage, (3) feasibility study and trial stage. Analysis of the needs of class VII students of SMPN 8 Jakarta with 39 respondents was carried out with the results that 100% of respondents had used computers at relatively frequent intervals (79.92%). More than half of the respondents (66.67%) stated that the seventh grade science (chemistry) subject was quite difficult. The product improvement stage begins with a literature study to create teaching material content, and the production of teaching materials in the form of interactive CDs. Educational materials are made using Macromedia Flash interactive programming facility which includes animation of chemical reaction applications, chemical reaction processes, and practice questions with multiple choice questions. The time required for the contents of this learning CD is 15-20 minutes. The feasibility test phase carried out by material experts, media and teachers showed that the learning CDs developed were suitable for practical use. Meanwhile, small and large group experiments with class IX students of SMPN 8 Jakarta and SMP Terpadu Widya Duta Jakarta gave very good interpretation results, so it can be concluded that CD is used for learning materials on physical and chemical changes.

To better understand the mass transfer behaviors in CaC2 production from CaO and coke, this paper studies the diffusion behaviors of CaO and graphite, with or without ash, at 1500 and 1700 °C. CaO and graphite are pressed into tablets and heated alone or in close contact. Physical and chemical changes in these tablets are analyzed by XRD and SEM+EDX. In some experiments, thin Mo wires are placed between the closely contacted CaO and graphite tablets to identify the diffusion direction. It is found that the diffusion between CaO and low-ash graphite is very limited. SiO2 in a high-ash graphite diffuses into CaO tablet and reacts with CaO to form Ca2SiO4, which then diffuses into the graphite tablet easily and leads to CaC2 formation at 1700 °C.

Air-dried and saturated cubes of fully developed wood of Dichrostachys cinerea (Leguminosae) and Salix subserrata (Salicaceae) were charred for 60 minutes at 400°C. An initial increase in moisture content caused few structural alterations in Salix but in Dichrostachys it resulted in considerable ray distension and massive deformation of non-gelatinous fibres. An attempt is made to correlate these observations with the physical and chemical changes known to occur during wood pyrolysis.

<em><span lang="EN-US">The purpose of this study areanalize the influence of store atmosphere and location on purchase decision at Pusri Mart area Semarang. The data collection technique are questionnaires, interview, observation, and literature study method. The number of samples in this study were 75 respondents and it was selected by incidental sampling technique. The data analysis technique is carried out by using classic assumption test (Normality test, Multicolinearity test, and Heteroscedasticity test),  multiple linear regression analysis, model feasibility test, hypothesis test, Coefficient Correlation R, and Multiple Determination Coefficient (R2). The result of the research shows that: (1) store atmosphere (X1) has significant influence to the purchase decision on Pusri Mart area Semarang; (2) Location (X2) has significant influence to the purchasie decision on Pusri Mart area Semarang; (3) Store atmosphere is the variable which has the most dominant influence to the purchase decision on Pusri Mart area Semarang</span></em>

Binuangeun Mangrove Ecosystem is located in the south western Java Island, in the area of Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Mangrove ecosystems are ecosystems that located at the Coastal areas which are a habitat for a variety of marine animals which are associated with it, mostly fish, because of its complex or a very effective root structure which can provide a place for fish to be able to live, take shelter, develop, breed and also look for food. This research was conducted to determine the physical and chemical condition and the variety of fishes which found in the Binuangeu, Banten Mangrove Ecosystem. This research method uses literature study. Physical and chemical conditions of the Binuangeun Mangrove Ecosystem, Banten have degrees of temperature ranging from 28.20 - 32.20; acidity range between 7.00 - 8.09; turbidity ranges from 22.50 - 76.00 NTU; water current ranged from 0.079 to 0.189; phosphate content ranges from 0.02 - 0.008; salinity ranges from 30-35 PSU; and dissolved oxygen content ranges from 5.67 - 8.70. The types of fish found in the Binuangeun Mangrove Ecosystem, Banten are 45 species from 22 Family. The most abundant and relatively high species of existence is the Gobiidae with 10 species.   Keywords: Banten, Binuangeun, Ecosystems, Fish, Mangroves
